so is this a second season then? i haven't seen Enigma i thought maybe it was a spinoff
Sequel for sure. Same main character, new scenery. It's possible they've set it up to where one doesn't need to have watched the first part to be clued in since it's just him that's the same, but we won't know until the first ep drops.
Feels like 98% percent of this season held all of the characters and/or pairs hostage in anguish. I didn't even realize until just now that today's episode would be the series finale given how unresolved things still seemed at the end of last week's episode. If there isn't a S3 in the works or a special episode (seems like more series are using these to close up shop now) that has already been filmed then I suspect we'll be getting a time jump or two and some rushed happy endings π
So between the episode stills and preview for Episode 14 it looks like Guo Cheng will have "words" with Xiao Shuai's ex. Can anyone who has read the novel tell me if this specific plot point is new to the story? Based on some comments here and elsewhere I had been under the impression that this duo's story wasn't featured much in the original novel until the bonus chapters or something, so I guess I'm curious to know if Guo interacting with the ex is new material or if it's something the character did in the novel.
Show was sadly cancelled before last episode arrived, there should be 3 episodes more π₯²I donβt know if there…
omg so the remaining episodes exist - as in filmed and completed - but just weren't released?! ugh! that sucks so much but certainly explains a lot. if only someone in production would leak the lost eps... π
I actually just started Stay With Me last night! I ended up watching the Thai version (Addicted Heroin) after commenting here, which was not that good and in a way felt more censored than this! I have higher hopes for Stay With Me though from the little bit I've watched so far!
This series would've really benefited from a subtle plot twist or two right about now, if only to better connect some dots. Like Prince Tharin and Thatdanai could've had a history - secret or almost lovers! - with a shared goal and underground plan to protect "their" son Khanin from the evil King's grasps, and other royals.
This has become a snooze fest. At this point I do not care who wins the competition, the dust story line took…
Lmaooo! To be fair, royal bodyguards (or whatever Charan's official title is supposed to be) are rather stiff and one-noted by default so I think Zee's playing it right, but at the same time it's a dud of a gig since the act has him standing off to the side silently observing every other character 95% of the time, so yeah, a cardboard cutout of his likeness would've worked just as well π
Honestly, out of all the actors in this I think I feel for Zee most as there really wasn't much he could've done with or for his character on a performance level to enhance upon it, and at the end of the day I can't imagine standing around doing and saying next to nothing being much fun or even gratifying for him as an actor. And if I recall correctly it was Zee that wanted a bodyguard-like role (in a royal setting?) too π but playing a character with no discernible character probably wasn't what he had in mind.
If someone were to tally up the # of lines or words spoken by each character once the series concludes I wouldn't be surprised if Ava bested Charan π€£
Close to 3 minutes dedicated to the "previously on" recap leading into today's episode... I don't recall it ever being this long? I've only just started watching it now though so maybe the extended refresher will end up serving a purpose of relevance, but damn... between that, the opening title sequence (2+ mins) and the end credits (2+ mins) = a whole 7 minutes!
WHAT happened to the rest??? or WHERE is the rest??? I need an explanation!!!
Did the rug get pulled on this series before it was done filming or something, because the way it ended felt more like a series left unfinished than an intentional cliffhanger.
And even if I were to entertain the prospect that it was intentionally setting up for a second season in earnest that never quite materialized for whatever reason(s)... at no point in the years since did anyone in charge care to properly close out the story with a special?!
If you are talkking about all the amazing things the doc said about the ex, he was lyiing through his teeth, just…
Ahhh! End credits, not preview! Totally misread lol. I tend to click replay as soon as those credits start to roll π€£ but I suppose this gives me a new excuse to rewatch today's episode again, just to let those end credits play on this time π
wardrobe budget must have been really tight... it hit me when Yue Yue kept showing up on screen with the same dress for 98% of her run lol

Missed opportunities all around.
