She was a powerful concubine. Then she was accused of adultery, and I think plotting something. I have to rewatch…
Actually she isn't that timid. Her personality always had that spark to protest and everything. We see that in her behaviour with Grand Prince and others servants. But yes she did rose to power, that how she did, I am looking forward to.

Yes yes I remember this as well. She was accused of trying to kill another concubine and first prince (King's son with that concubine), changing power dynamics in palace, and adultery.
even I’m intrigued how did she go from a court maid to powerful concubine, so there were affection between king…
I don't think there was affection, both definitely had their guards up against each other. Plus she was in love with his brother. As we saw today, even during her last moments, the drawing of cherry blossoms, it was all linked with Grand Prince who drew it first. So, she felt for him till she died. But yes what actually happened between her and king, seems interesting.
I always knew there is something missing in the drama, but we got it today. Kopiko promotion scene. I am sorry, but all classic kdramas have this, and I am glad they have it too. Lol.
The last scene was so beautiful, where the screen froze. She in that beautiful backless gown, him in that messy look, the background, I loved the scene.
