I just checked the previews for ep 10 and 11, and wtf? Why is everyone such a lunatic? Like wtf did Qing Yi do? Why is everyone so mentally and physically abusive towards him?

The 58 days schedule of Dunhuang has been wrapped up .
The crew will film in Xi'an from 24th to 26th July.
From 28th July, filming will continue in Hengdian.

Yeah maybe he comes after he got released, its not possible that he made the entire thing honestly. But yes some things are just plot devices, spoken casually. The director is pathetic so I really don't expect detailed works from him.
ML and FL both are pretty confused at the moment, they do things, they regret it. They are attached but they cannot be together.
Its a Republican drama toxic love, it was always marketed like this, so yeah I am hooked regardless of its flaws.

Exactly I really feel bad for Qing Yi, especially the doctor era, he was so cute. I don't blame him at all.
Love and everything can take place from ep 21-22. Before that I need him to do something terrible, like do something that will really piss off Susu. Then I can enjoy my angst for few episodes hehe. I am evil.

But I actually understand that because its a republican era drama, the men there would be like this. In fact he isn't bad as I hoped him to be. Like he is genuinely hurt, so yeah. But again I get blind when it comes to Susu.
Like honestly watching TLOA reuters, I wanted to punch Cheng Lei though I am obsessed with him. So yeah preparing myself, huhh.

Haha, I did brush up my knowledge of Greek Mythology before watching it though. There are some kind people in youtube who explained few things before watching The odyssey for better understanding, within 4 minutes, and I am thankful to have watched those. This reduces complications in many names, but even without it, you can understand the movie.
Oppenheimer? I should have read physics for a few months before going to watch it. Do you remember the scene where the nuclear bomb trial happens, and we see it without hearing any sound, I was like what is happening, and then suddenly boom. Then I realized okay light travels faster than sound so. Ohh, can you blame me I grew up watching Bollywood films and ITV serials.
Interstellar, me and my cousin watched it at home and we took around 7-8 hours, because we go back and repeat the scenes to understand it.

But finally Nolan understood there are stupid people (like me) and he should make films for all, thankfully I understood Odyssey.

Yes its possible his doctor instincts kicked in. But his perception was I have to protect Susu and help her, which is not needed currently. In fact he needs to help himself, be angry, don't be a simp. She almost ruined you come on, give me angst.

Exactly episode 9 especially is way better in the editing department.

Yes I watched it, and its the first Nolan film that I understood in my first attempt, haha. It was great, go watch it.

Okay I was right brother likes pilot girl for sure. The other exchange baby/police officer will be with opera singer for sure. So we don't need weird love triangles here.
Especially I would hate to see ML and his brother fighting over FL. His brother really loves him (hopefully he is not faking it), and I would hate to see angst between the brothers.
Also episodes without ML's mother gives me so much peace. Though there was that annoying sister, but I can let her off as comedic element.

Did I spoil you, I am so sorry, yeah its ep 9. I thought you are done till ep 9.

It bothered me initially, I kind of got used to it now. I am even enjoying it these days, lol.
The problem for me was many foot transitions, from bottom to top, like once or twice it was okay, but till ep 7, I think they had too many of them, which was very weird. And were some transitions, especially the scene where he held a clip at her throat, and they continuously transitioned to the flashbacks of gun shooting scene of them. It was really off for me.

But maybe after hearing complaints, they have re-edited some things, like the intro. Ep 9 was better, I felt. Hopefully moving forward, it can be better.

I also want angst properly. Like yeah I will defend Susu, but why is ML reacting like this? Like it is so stupid that he follows her to the orphanage? Helps her, when that was not needed, and she knows better. What's the use, when she insults him the next second saying only his brother has the right to question her?
Okay ML is reckless, if I consider it.
Wdym he knew the plane had problems, hence he said he should fly it. And FL knew it had explosives still sat with him? She is stupid in love as well.

Episode 9's editing was better comparatively.

In some episodes, in the last scene, they divide the screen into two, showing the faces of the leads from the last scene. But instead of making it a straight line, maybe for "aesthetic" purposes, they make a slanting line. Yeah don't do it. You see Linghe's handsome face is really attractive, it doesn't make sense that you cut his forehead.
About the plane sequence, let it be, I cannot.

But the story, I am hooked.

No not always, couple of times yes, especially in the climax. But throughout the novel, its like they face threats in their adventure, but they overcome it together.

If you are into adventure plus romance, you will like it. Unlike normal fluffy love stories in modern set up, its very different. They are on expedition constantly, in extreme situations of life and death, fall in love.
I loved it.

Because the screenwriter-director wanted that. Now yes not all people will like it, but this is their story, this is how they choose to interpret and show it. We can decide to watch it or not, that's our opinion.
