He had to fight with Duan, like it really got serious! In order to avoid danger, when FL is sleeping/unconscious, he sends her out of the palace with her secret guards. He always told her he would do it if there was any danger so he does. Tells the guards to give her a letter when she wakes up!
The letter had everything, the lies he told her, him coming there 15 years back, his love for her, everything! He tells not to come back, and live a good life! She comes back, scolds him and fights with him against Duan!
It was pretty nice, in the novel at least there was no such misunderstanding or FL hating ML for his lies. She completely understood him!

She never realizes on her own. ML tells her himself via a letter!

I remember reading a good scene in the novel- Dan being unconscious, unable to drink medicine, FL taking the medicine in her mouth and feeding it to him, like a mouth to mouth transfusion, the idea was of SFL, and she even teased her! Such a nice scene, I don't know if they cut it off due to reducing the episodes from 40 to 32 or it was never shot!
But makes me a little sad!

The previews are too happy! They are showing us the happy parts and keeping the tragic parts to show in the episode, I am sure of it! Anytime leads are too happy, makes me nervous!

I will be always amazed by the fact that this drama did the perfect blend of seriousness and comedy! Like hats of to the director, screenwriters, editors, team! They have maintained such a good balance throughout! Its really well done!

ML is a transmigrator! He transmigrated when he was a teenager. FL transmigrates as an adult. But ML lies to her tells her he transmigrated as same time as her, so that FL thinks he is like her, becomes close to him, because he has been waiting for someone from the real world since years!
ML falls for her in episode 2. They are always together, have a very healthy relationship! FL likes him eventually. She always liked him, but yes as a love interest maybe from ep 9-10! They are always together, so for them to understand when they developed feelings is actually hard! They even hug a lot of times, they kiss in ep 20!

ML did not save her because he wants to save her. He doesn't want Yan people to kill the witch. This is because if she dies in the hands of Yan people, the faction of ministers who support her, Prince Duan even the common people would disagree to the peace talks. A country that killed their Empress, how can they hold peace talks with that country. ML killed all Yan associates, as they attacked and even killed the poor guy ML sent as an envoy. But despite everything he kept Yan prince alive, because he wants peace talks, for the betterment of the people, and so that military can be away from Duan's hands.
He took a tactful decision! But witch has lost it! Today is the last of what we see of her, don't worry! Also after everything she put ML through, its rightfully ML job to kill her.

This is actually a great point. The drama/novel has really powerful villains. They aren't like someone taking rash decisions, doing stuff impulsively! Both Duan and the witch are very calm, think tactfully before doing something!

Nope nothing like that. The voice in the first 2-3 episodes for few people was an issue. But no one cares really now! Maybe either we are used to it, or the show is too enjoyable hence can ignore that. But you can check for yourself!

Did you watch the latest episodes? ML has a son, who is the crown prince. The same actor who played Zhang San/Dan/ML's childhood is casted as his son, the current crown prince as well! Maybe hence the confusion. Father and son is being played by same actor.
Just remember most of the times in ML's childhood he wears black clothes. Zhang San is ML, so ending clips are all of ML. His son on the other hand wears white, has very limited screen time!

Its to create confusion! So that people keep guessing! Because they never said crown prince is ML's son explicitly before ep 19, so they casted the same guy so that the audience can keep guessing, also because they are father and son, they are similar looking!

Nope! Before the ending clips start, it says Zhang San's diary. Zhang San is ML's name before he transmigrated. Those ending clips are memories of ML when he just transmigrated into the novel. He grew up in the palace, its about what he faced growing up!
ML's son doesn't have a lot of screen time, a little here and there, he isn't a transmigrator.
ML's childhood and his son are being played by the same actor, hence the confusion!

Yes it wasn't! Just like females being doctors/detectives were not as accepted practices. Ying saved Prince, she saved FL. If not to the Majesty, she could at least ask FL. FL was never narrow minded, she could have thought of something!
To do an illegal autopsy of a dead person without permission is pathetic. The bodies with blood all over, was so bad to see, imagine the family members of them! It was not even a clean autopsy, she found what she needed and left them bleeding, she did not even stich it back! That was a poor decision!
From my perspective, instead of saving lives, she and Pei yu were both inclined towards becoming famous, becoming achievers! '
But yes I do understand that her steps lead to greater good, so maybe that's why she was given special pardon!

Zhang San is Emperor Dan. Zhang San was a middle school student when he transmigrated into the novel, 15 years before the present time! He always wears black clothes. He has grown up in the palace! He has lied to FL about it!

He was poisoned in childhood, that lead to the headaches. After today's episode, when he is poisoned again, at least in the novel, it was really serious, he sometimes behaved as a tyrant, for split seconds, had a kind of a different soul! Maybe like an alter ego, but it was like a disease, due to poisoning, it wasn't real emperor trying to take over. Infact FL even told ML during one of those scenes, that you are not the Dan I know. In the novel it was pretty serious, but ep 22 preview looks all happy, so I don't know maybe they have cut it or something because they had to cut few episodes.

Exactly I am so happy someone agrees with me! I did not write anything yesterday, because people were all happy with the case, I get it different perspectives, its absolutely fine!
But the latest case has hyped me, now I hope they will have nice cases!
