Why is she schizo? Is it something from the novel?
Arranged marriage tropes I haven't seen a lot in costume cdramas these days. So yeah I am excited about that. Yes revenge thing is everywhere, but I am fan of the actor, I would watch him even in a documentary, also the actress is lovely and talented. Their chemistry is beautiful as well. But yes let's see.
Why is she schizo? Is it something from the novel?
Its over power and empire here. YeLi originally never wanted any revenge. Her husband and she made plans to secure the empire and protect people and themselves. They changed it here. But the schizophrenia angle is nice, as per me.

Ohh. Just check the trailer again. She introduces a woman to the ML, who is supposed to be just behind her. But there was no one. Plus there was a scene where there are a lot of people dining together, and Yeli is happy, but in the next scene, its just empty, its just her and ML. There were hints in other trailers released before as well, she was trying to kill someone with a knife but there was no one, when ML called her, she came and hugged him.
Ohh, I though MoLi was the title because it is the couple name or something, Mo from Mo Xiu Yao and Li from Ye Li. I also heard MoLi does mean Jasmine in Chinese.
Why is she schizo? Is it something from the novel?
No absolutely not. Honestly watching the trailer released today, it seems its very different from the novel. The revenge part was already in the synopsis, so we all thought that was the only addition. Yeli in the novel wanted no revenge. But here she wants. Schizophrenia is totally added. They made it a thriller in the drama, which was not initially in the novel.
these dramas all competing with the world cup after a mostly empty may.... these companies are so dumb sometimes…
Timing is different though. The episodes will be out in the evening in China. Matches will be in midnight or early morning. Plus a very small minority would be a common audience for both. It releases in ott platform, people are free to watch whenever they want, unlike a fixed time. I don't think there is any such competition.
