Here he also loves Yeli truly, he had no intention of getting married to anyone else. Even when we saw both Yeli and his perspective together, I do feel bad for him. Yes Yeli can choose not to forgive him, but he was a kid, what could he have done.
I am sorry, but I am not really happy about whitewashing Mo Jingli. I am only upset on him because he is harassing a married lady, not caring for his own wife, and is annoying. But other than that??? They could have followed the novel in this regard, I feel.
