Same here. It just feels stretching the reality too far. On the one hand the whole paalce and its environment…
He was a puppet in the novel as well, but he had his own goals, they just made him a clown here. I can consider the FL, she does not know court etiquette as such, but I felt the politics portion, the emperor his behaviour, the continuous fights between Wei and Li, everything in a funnier way, which I feel for palace politics is not required.
yes...the Emperor being such a crybaby was not a good change imo😔
He wasn't like this. He was a puppet, but he was furious at both Wei and Li factions, and wanted to gain his own power. He threatened Marquis, Princess Royal to get married. Him getting beaten by his sister, crying every now and then wasn't there.
I would have liked better if they had done the palace politics part in a more serious way, rather than adding humour every now and then, because all the political part, past, future is really complex and significant. Like this is not me criticizing the drama, the director must have a different perception of understanding to it, I am just saying about my preferred perception.
Omg i really loved them in this drama. They had mkre chemistry than ML and FL 😂They way dk's chara cant stop…
I did not watch those dramas. But I had no problem with Julia in Wanted Detective. She was nice. But there wasn't much chemistry with Xingyue. But that isn't a big deal, cause it wasn't a romance based drama. Plus we knew they were in love always, no such falling in love was shown because they were childhood sweethearts. It was more of mutual support, so its okayy.

Exactly. Also when everyone though DK was against them, but ML was the only one who thought he was helping them. They were such bestie-turned foes-turned bestie coded. Or maybe they were never foes. They were the best part of the drama, FL had no chemistry with ML at all.
Qi is a foe. Changyu will know the truth in the last minute of episode 26.
They have, or what I would like to say is that the actors have a strong chemistry, because what the characters are just abuser and victim, surrounded by toxic love. But yes they are very engaging and addictive. You still have a lot lot to see of them, so enjoy!

Anyone can explain who is qi min and why he pretends to be SYH?
Crown Prince Chengde died 17 years back in Jinzhou Massacre. His consort feared that it was a conspiracy and even their young son Qi Min could be the next one to be killed. Prince Changxin's (someone related to the royal family) wife and son (same age as Qi Min) visited crown princess and her son. Crown Princess put her palace on fire, killing herself, and Prince Changxin's son Sui Yuanhuai. But before that she exchanged clothing of the children. Her son Qi Min's face was deliberately burnt so that people wouldn't recognize him. For the rest of the people, Qi Min was dead, Sui Yuanhuai was alive. Qi Min grew up in the Sui household as Sui Yuanhuai.

Hahaha, I agree! Kong Xue'er is the second best partner of Deng Kai in terms of chemistry, Wang Xingyue still holds the first position.
Xie Army or Younzhou army.
