A fresh take on police dramas, I really like it so far. It's entertaining, things are unfolding slowly but steadily, mixing subtle humour and emotional moments.

Tô understand the period previous to the Reform and Opening Up, the Maoist Era, you can watch the movie To Live, by Zhang Yimou. It will explain a lot (and to understand how Mao rose to power, you'll have to go back further to the beginning of 20th century.

I've tried to do that with other drama a long time ago and was rejected tol. It seems they only accept edits from specific users., don't take it personally and don't even bother to try. They don't care about the general users.

I'm liking the show so far. It's fresh, different.

He was 29 when he made this film! Incredible talent!!! Amazing movie, surreal, beautiful, atmospheric, hypnotic. Art house all around, not for linear, realistic, or grounded storytelling seekers, nor for viewers who need to be in control.

Have you tried the Anniversary cut on Migu Channel. Pace there is all right

I think it's quite unique, interesting. I like how it takes its time to unfold the story. Cinematic feel, love the quality of the scenes and the colors - thanks god there's no muted or trendy filters. There's several inspirations from classical filmography (I dare say western one, for sure). Regarding the humour, it reminds me of Guy Ritchie's style, but way more subtle.

I'm really enjoying this drama!
