Have you tried the Anniversary cut on Migu Channel. Pace there is all right
It's a shorter and upgrading version made by the director one year later., 26 episodes. Hope you enjoy it! Worth watching! The more you see, the more you want to continue.
I think it's quite unique, interesting. I like how it takes its time to unfold the story. Cinematic feel, love the quality of the scenes and the colors - thanks god there's no muted or trendy filters. There's several inspirations from classical filmography (I dare say western one, for sure). Regarding the humour, it reminds me of Guy Ritchie's style, but way more subtle.
You're welcome. For what I read, the ones who watched both versions, all agree in that the Anniversary cut is better and all the issues of the original are solved. Personally, I liked it, and the more I watched, the more invested I was.
Finally finishing and what was that ? He was fine and they begin ep 39 with Li Dao Qi dead ? I was like wth and…
He wrote: "Li Dao Qi was here", and the wife wrote after: "Cheng Man too"...all to be erased by the rain. Really touching. In fact, the signals for his decision and outcome were there since early in the drama, but became stronger towards the end. I was predicting that this may be one of the possible outcomes. The meaning of the drama tittle is that at the end, they found the way back to their real self and the things that matter most, as well as the things they cherish most.
I'm almost 2/3rds of the way thru and this 7.8 rating is ridiculous. Unless the series utterly collapses in the…
Ended and loved it! It's a very uplifting ending for WKW lol I was even surprised. I was prepared for the word given his portfolio (in the mood for Love, Ashes of Time and many more). The problem is arriving at WKW with the wrong expectations I think.

I know! I'm about to start Ep 29. Curious on how it will end, but expecting WKW kind of ending lol We'll see. Someone who knows my tastes told me I'll probably be one of the few people who likes the ending lol Anyway, I've been enjoying the drama a lot so far. On another note, try watch Hu Ge in his last drama, Born to Be Alive. He's been just nominated as best actor for this - he won the same prize for Blossoms Shanghai in 2024, the Magnolia Awards, which is one of the three most important awards in China. In Born to be theAlive he is terrific, totally different drama though - excellent too and also nominated as Best series this year in the same Awards.
I'm about to start EP 25 and I'm loving it. Business staff is my jam, and when mixing with great cinematography and very personally storytelling including human relashionships, I'm totally in. Very gripping pace.

Had a strong start but the ending made the team behind this seems like they didn't understand what 八千里路云和月…
That's an interpretation only hold up by young viewers. Experienced watchers don't put so much strong accent in that, and regardless of anything, the tittle has a broader meaning than a romantic storyline. I wish people could understand things more beyond what is tell in front of them
