Wondeful!

This is such a great drama. The acting and chemistry of leads is just perfection! The story delightful as the two interact and grow close. Both characters are so well drawn and shows how despite their differences they are a couple so beautifully matched and so respective of each other. Dali is a strong female lead which is so great- he is just so adorable in his love and reaction to her!
The plot is interesting and moves along at a nice pace. The music so fitting and the costumes particularly Dali's are just stunning!
Cant recommend this enough - romance, humor, visuals - perfection!

Slow!

This drama moves so slowly for each episode that i get to screaming point- then it ends in a cliffhanger!
I find the FL irritating when she acts so slowly and barely says anything. Then she suddenly becomes outspoken! She's like a sloth that suddenly falls from a tree!
I get he is attractive but looks only get you so far.
Because of the slow pace iI'm getting fed up of the ceaseless on/off nature of their relationship and as to her being shy of love and trust because of her ex- not much evidence of that! She sp obviously wants commitment from him.
Also if they are eating together, chatting and having sex its not a sex only relationship as the storyline maintains - its a relationship for heavens sake! If it was just sex friends he wouldn't stay the night.
Both characters are very confused / poorly written.
May have to wait to binge and fast forward on all episodes so I can find out what happens without crawling to the finale!
update to episode 8
Still nothing! It's like watching paint dry! No character development, no new information - just the inclusion of a second lead. ML and FL still not communicating but talking in cyphers. and avoiding being honest with each other - I'm not even clear what the pair of them want from each other!
Final episode!
At last hjis has dragged its way to a conclusion and what a trite one it is! They dont clarify their past or current feelings , she just realises she was the girl he "fell in love with at first sight!!!" So she says she will get hurt and he says are you ok with that - and they start dating! Are they whitewashing his past to say he was a playboy until he met her?!!
They were cute together at yhe start but everything since was a disaster and they didnt make their getting together convincing.
Drama has left me annoyed and disappointed!

Just don't!

The only good thing about his was the story! The concept was good but the execution poor! The whole thing dragged with unnecessary and drawn out side stories and uninteresting scenes. Worse it came to a ridiculous ending that is a slap in the face for anyone who gave their time to watch it. Thankfully I fast forwarded 3/4 of the series just to learn the salient points in the story and the ending so didn't waste too much of my time! Wasn't taken by the ML and FL - lack of chemistry and pretty immature behaviour from both. The FL character was pretty annoying at times but at keast she had some strength and wasnt pathetic!
Unless you are a young teenager I seriously doubt you'll like this drama!

Disappointing

The storyline about past lives was really interesting but something fell flat about this show and I can only put that down to the 2 leads lack of chemistry. I really didnt care if they got together or not! Somehow the male lead just seemed flat and she was gorgeous and wore fantastic clothes but again just didnt really care for her! As to the kissing scenes- I get more affection from my dog!!! Is she against kissing in dramas / disliked the male actor/ just a bad kisser?!!
There were a few factors I found dislikeable
- his manipulation of her - what a nasty way to get close to her. Altering her memories ? How dare he?! Im surprised she grew to like him and perhaps thats what is missing - apart from"Fate" what did these two even like about their present personalities?
- his past 2 lives deceiving her- just why do writers put this outdated notion of man acting ostensibly in best interest of woman by sarificing themselves. No respect or trust.
- mothers actions - distasteful and ridiculous.
After episode 8 I just fast forwarded to get the gist!!
The second male was great and the best thing about this show!! The parents were funny to start with but even their funny scenes became monotonous!

Boring!

This drama started so well and then just disappeared into a romance and gentle humour which was not new, interesting, funny or cute!
The most interesting characters were the twin brothers and yet thus fell onto the sidelines and was not explained as well as it could have been. Just why did Ian Chase treathis brother like that? What happened withe the hospital daugter - this was nevervresolved.
The last episode was a nauseating and shallow cliched take on love and helping others in despair. The writer wallowing in triteness.
This could have been such an excellent thriller with a bit of romance - instead it was a mawkish cliched love story between 2 very juvenile people. The sight ofcthe male lead running like a little boy was just a huge turn iffand the iverused lollipop as an answer to all hurts just pathetic.
Unless you like self help speak and underdeveloped characters give this a miss!

Persevering!

Im struggling with this drama mainly because of the male lead. He insults the female lead for her stupidity and noise. He makes her act like his servant and threatens to deduct her pay. This is supposed to be him liking her? Its abusive. Then he forces a confession from her when she has no money or place to stay. She actually lies in this situation to say she was attracted to him when in reality she was too scared to say no to her boss.
The female lead is attractive and cute but really naive to the point of stupidity.
I hate to give up something ive started be it a book or drama - but im struggling with this as I find it offensive to women. I may fast forward to see if the FL gets a backbone and the ML some humanity.
episode 30
Ok for a while it got better- she started to talk back to him and took the accounting course to be the best version of herself...for him though!!! Now we have the wedding - and oh my what an arrogant, insensitive pig he is. Never explains anything to her - lets his sister make all the arrangements and never contributes or asks her what she would like. Plus he's not even met the parents and she hasn't told them. This relationship is so dysfunctional - he treats her like a child apart from the fact he obviously has relations with her as she could have been pregnant! He wants a soft, unchallenging, basically submissive partner because his life is so stressful. Stressful?!! Oh poor little rich boy who feels so alone and has no choice in his career! Save me whilst I throw up! He has a loving sister and friend and he could chose to give the company up - he is the one who has decided to follow his grandfathers business.
This drama is so wrong and I hate how due to this poor girls young age she is being dominated by the man she loves. Where is the fun and tenderness in this relationship? It has np depth - I'm infuriated by it! Got to this point by judicious fast forwarding!

Endurance

The acting was superb and the content emotional but.... it was unrelentingly bleak for the most part! I understand it was about the survivers and bereaved families trauma and grief - making them prisoners of their guilt and loss, but oh it began to drag! They all seemed to be wallowing in their pointless self blame and the FL parents, esp the mother just heaped more damage on her daughter - totally selfish. As one reviewer put it, the "noble actions" of first the ML and then the FL in the penultimate episode just became too much. After they both suffered so much they then put each other through more heartache. Plus the architect began to act out of character. I got so frustrated that I skipped thru the last 3 episodes , kept up with salient developments just to finish the gruelling experience. Apart from the ML noone seemed mature, many got worse and alot of many characters past actions were hinted at but not exposed till the final episode. The sister acted selfishly till she realised he was ill - maybe because he left the family, but he borrowed money and worked like a dog for her to become a dr. Is self sacrifice and blame a cultural thing in korea?
There were some lovely scenes with the two leads and with granny but not enough to outweigh the long slog of emotional assault on the viewer! Would have been better if less episodes.at least the last episode was good!

Gentle

I teally enjoyed most of this series. The location was beautiful, various characters interesting and the romance sweet. The acting of everyone was on point.
However, chief Hongs past turned out to be not so dark - as in he took the blame for what reason? Yes he could be devastated by what happened but to blame himself totally was just ridiculous. Also his very self satisfied persona as the chief and early attitude towards hye-jin was irksome.
By the last few episodes the series became rather cloying - over sentimental and slow. To the point that I am not invested in what happens to everyone- including the main couple!
It just seems this drama didnt really know where it was going and I lost interest!

Carcrash!

Possibly the most awful drama I have ever watched. Two leads do not communicate at all which is where the musunderstandings occur. FL mumbles her way thru the drama with her head down and takes insults, accusations and physical assaults without any resistance. She used to be feisty at college- howcdidcshe become a cekebrsted photographer when she is an utter pushover and so weak? ML accuses FL of leaving him when he told her to get lost . Her dad did something to his dad? Never explained. Or maybe I missed it as fast forwarded thru so much. Did not miss his two violent assaults on her- which she just accrpted.
If this is what the chinese think is romance they seriously have issues.

Disappointed

I love both leads but oh dear what a waste! There was a palpable lack of chemistry between the two - despite both being so good in other dramas and capable of some really believable intimate scenes, these two just seemed awkward even when just hugging each other. Was it their 7 year age difference that made them uneasy with each other? Although their relationship started with one night stand there was no further obvious desire for each other - so we were left with the marriage/no marriage scenario. On his part I didn't quite get it- so he based this on his awful father? Because he was such a failure so he distrusted marriage or because he would be a burden? Well he was a burden already so what difference would marriage make?!
I just felt from the word go their relationship made no sense - particularly them getting together after their break ups of only 2 months? You don't get over a break up in such a short time - I guess this led to their difficulties as a couple as they had unresolved issues. However this just dragged without any really fun and believable scenes to give any depth to their relationship.
The second leads? They certainly had a character development arc - which lets face it they needed as they both cheated on their partners and therefore started pretty low. Theitrfast wedding led to the harsh realities of marriage. The 2ML I just didn't get- why was he so obsessed with her ex and his relationship with his ex? Comedy factor with him following them? Just seemed bizarre behaviour. Frankly I wasn't interested in their relationship or character development as they both cheated in the most awful way and for that I could not forgive them, despite even his developing awareness of how he acted so badly. I can't believe The Fl and him ever lasted 10 years with him being so immature and selfish - even if she also had faults in the relationship. Plus the way the exes turned to each other for advice? Please- too much too soon given how they cheated- just why would their exes want to give them relationship advice let aone her helping him write his column!!
The other couples - again immature men not communicating or facing their their responsibilities. How many dramas can withstand so many weak men?!!
The weather aspect was good - as an analogy to relationships and for its information on S Koreas climate and weather. But the meeting scenes dragged on and broke up the relationship stories.
I fast forwarded so many scenes as the series went on - a sure sign a drama is just not engaging me!
The ending? His father suddenly had a complete change of character due to his cancer diagnosis? Sorry just not believable. The fact it seemed like their was a wedding meeting between respective parents? Where did this suddenly come from? The couple just started their relationship again with the same lines from when they started- this sums up the weakness of how this couples relationship was dealt with - where was the sharing and connecting of minds, what did they love about each other, and what was that pathetic breakup all about? They didn't share their thoughts or feelings in any believable way.

I could go on venting my disappointment at the waste of two such good actors - lets hope they both get better roles and this doesn't tarnish their future. I'm finding it hard to see her in any future roles - she has become possibly a little too old to be in such immature relationship dramas with none of the depth of character of her previous roles.?

Not for me!

Im afraid I found the performances of all to be vastly over acted - especially the FL! Ive liked her in other dramas but I found myself fast forwarding through her scenes! Overly dramatic facial expressions to everything! Her character bever really made sense to me and she took far too much from the ML. The ML for most of the drama I disliked- I know he was emotionally damaged but he was so cold and rude and just downright offensive.
Far too many emotional angst scenes - just get on with it!
20 episodes was far too long for essentially a rather convoluted story that actually was not that interesting!

Overrated

It seems like I will be a dissenting voice on this drama! Whilst I agree that it is refreshing in that it doesnt employ the usual cliches and is a sweet romance, there are several parts I found boring - the gaming and the space tech - sorry neither appealed to me and i fast forwarded thru the majority! Secondly the FL - she was just irritatingly childish around the ML - acting all coy, shuffling her feet, swinging her arms and generally acting like she was still in high school with him - the power of love? Maybe but I found her vapid and it did not gel with the way she responded to the host of the games with his questions nor the wonderful way she put down her ex. She is a woman who is a successful actress is used to public attention so why portray her as someone who cannot cook, clean or even make a cup of coffee?!! Then they show her digging for bamboo shoots - the inconsistencies in her character are just too numerous. Lets not also overlook the fact that in the past and now she basically stalked him!!
Similarly I disliked the ML for his inarticulate way for the first part of the drama and then his sudden dominating way of wooing her - taking over the driving, blocking her opening the car and on the karaoke presuming she came for him then taking her out and wrapping her up like a child. Maybe this is showing his love and care but with her childish manner it just struck a wrong note. Also hes been a rather self obsesssed man for the majority of his life- even said of his first girlfriend her giving him love he didnt see he had to return it. So why did he tutor the FL from the get go when hes never shown any inclination of behaving like this before? This was never explained- even why he travelled an hour and a half to repair her air humidifier when he didnt even know her?
Maybe I'm just too old and from the wrong culture for this sort of soft romantic slush and in particular the Chinese way of infantising their female leads. How do these girly women turn into the natriachal mother and grandmothers we also see - maybe its their revenge for having to be so girly to attract a man!!!
I will watch the rest of the drama to see if it can redeem itself in any way! I dont actually believe it will!
Oh and the first teal kiss? He kissed and she kept her mouth shut! Come on- its the 21 st century!!!
UPDATE
Well thisxdrama did redeem itself! Once they startrd dating it became a more equal and mature relationship which was great to see. The love and respect the two characters had for each other was refreshing. The FL dropped the girly act and the drama was so much better for it! I still found the male lead a little stiff - facially emotive but his body seemed too tense.
I was amazed at how many sexual innuendos there were- wow!
Overall a fluffy drama that was more worth watching in the later episodes . I'm not so sure these two would have made it if she didnt have a successful solo career - thisxwas touched upon by other characters. I wouldnt watch this again - it didnt really engage strong emotions in me and lacked depth for my taste. But a nonstressful watch!

Classic

It was interesting to watch such an old series- the clothes certainly dated it!loved seeing a young Rain and he did play the petulant lead so well. However his constant yelling and bullying did begin to wear on me. As did the premise of his promise to protect the 2cnd female lead as a 9 year old and his constant love for such a passive aggressive character. Which brings me to 2cnd ml - he was so mature and kind and I wish she had fallen for him!
So the FL is a great actress who showed such great hurt without going over the top - I felt her pain. However as a character, with almost constant acquisence to his petty demands of cleaning and cooking, seen most awfully in the 14th episode just infuriated me. Also she did seem to string the 2ml along - he was nothing but loving and patient and she knew she loved the ml so why not tell him clearly he was just a friend to her? Also with the ml the fact he wanted her and yet still ran to the 2fl on demand made me lose my liking for him- he hurt her again and again and it all just dragged on repetitively beyond even the belief of a romcom. He seemed to both want his cake and eat it! I really couldnt see qhy she fellnin love with him as for the most part he wasnt that nice to her!
The humor left me cold- maybe its the age of the film, my age or the cultute clash ( I'm English!) Also despite emotive performances there were no real heart fluttering scenes between the two - not even a hand hold! The first and only kiss was not even lukewarm- most unconvincing kiss I've ever seen!
So overall a light watch that would have been better if cut to less episode's given the repetitive scenes and simple plot , and lack of any real physical affection apart from when one or other of them was sleeping or ill!

Dragged

I didliked the male character for most of this drama! Totally immature from the start - and after abandoning his wife in his next life sold himself to the rich girl and became in his own words "a puppet"and when he finally begins to assert himself then apologises when she divorces him- saying he made her unhappy!!!So then he abandons his real wife again as he will make her unhappy. Does this guy learn nothing? Knowing how being inconsiderate to his first wife then overconsiderate to his next- does he not learn just to love and communicate ? Finally he makes the right decision but by this point I really didnt care!
I think the writer just let this go on for too long - it became exhausting to watch.

Awful!

The worst male lead ever- his character is the most selfish, egotistical travesty of a male lead. Constantly disparages the FL, even in his final proposal. Until the last episode still hanging on to his married first love and even uses a dopleganger of his ex to stand in for his wife. Never apologies for his hurtful words and actions and never recognises what she is going thru.
Made my blood boil! His wife never got to throw his hurtful actions in his face and sacrificed herself for him .
Just what were the writers thinking of? Do they think any woman would love this man? For sure he used the FL to protect his ex - so wish he ended up with her as both despicable.
Also male actor was terrible in acting and he looked like a plastic surgery dummy. The FL did an amazing job in the worst story!
Unless you like been made furious avoid this!!
