Rika is a girl you would love to crush on and admire but only from afar

I felt Rika was emotionally abusive to Kanji. She never called me by his name and dismissed his complaint about it.
Of course, the free-spirited Rika was a facade but still a lovely character with a good heart.
The kind of girl to admire from afar but a horrible girlfriend.
It is like dating a female boxer. You can admire her knocking people out in the ring when its you and her in the ring,
that's something to dread lol.
Rika is very similar to Riko from My Sassy Girl.
Even the phrases they use are verbatim sometimes eg:
'Never in a million years'
'I am not telling you'
' I don't need a dream, I need you'
She pushed Kanji away so many times but was sad when he left her.
Did we ever see Rika's house? I think it showed how closed off she was emotionally

A running theme was also her running away from him. He kept chasing her so much that he didn't know if she loved him
She was both free spirited and clingy. And taking a closer look, you find out the harsh words that she said to Kanji were actually rebuking herself. She seemed to be rebuking him for being clingy but she was rebuking her clingy self.
I think the reason why I love Rika so much is that she is a hypocrite.
It made her beautifully flawed.

This was a lot of fun

I am a big fan of Park Gunhyung from dramas like I Do I Do and Spring.
There were no evil characters only human ones. Which was a breath of fresh air.
I usually find myself rooting for the villainess in most stories and in this I was happy we got a humanistic one
She played the rival to the female lead very well and we got to see her perspective.
Better than the cartoonish villainesses we usually get
Lack of chaebols was also a plus.
More focus on relationships between people instead of shock value.
The opening theme song 'Yobo' was hilarious.
I enjoyed how we didn't have any perfect characters either.
The parenting dad underestimated just how much work it takes in taking care of kids.
I was happy that he was not made an expert from the get go.
He got humbled and learnt to appreciate his wife and his mother
This drama gave me unrealistic expectations for daily dramas.
Most fail to interest me.

My kind of story. The line by the female lead at the end was awesome
"I like you because you are so weak, so you need me"
It was a beautiful story haven't enjoyed a story this much since In Time With You
Rewatch Value is also immense.
The only part of the show that was a let down was the use of his powers
I expected him to be like Superman from Smallville and could hear the heartbeats and muffled crying of his significant other even if she was faraway from him
but then again, Smallville was done masterfully well, not many stories can compare.
Breezy and fun watch, lit up my day
Better than The Best Hit in my opinion
