Planing the assasination was so funny. 2ML and FL both have severe delusions about themselves and ML...FL does not seem averse to flirting with ML....he plan of action always includes getting all close to him....maybe she is subconciously falling already to his ML Halo😅

Fl is so happy that she thinks she has a chance to fight her fate with the ML. but she still falls for him only now he has a mask on....she is going to be so disillusioned once she finds out, she fell according to the FLs destiny after all. Also why is it so hard to explain what a protagonist and ML is properly without misunderstandings? Don't they know the concept of fiction and books?

The preview for ep 9 looks good...they hate flirt a lot and I'm not complaining....imagine being thrown together and having to act lovy dovy with someone you hate without being able to do anything against it....torture...but it looks entertaining haha

If you think I said that than you didnt understand my point. I said because she doesnt trust ML and knows the original plot she has confirmation bias and is kind of blind. I dont expect her to belief him. But no matter what ML says there already red flags about other characters on their own which the FL ignores.

I don't find it boring but it just means the FL.isn't very smart. On the other hand people are often blind to reality and whats around them if they belief they already know the truth. The FL already thinks she knows everything. Therefore she doesn't question the incongruities around her. Like when the ML talked about all his good deeds she only saw them through a distored lense based on what she thinks she knows and ignores everything to the contrary. This is very annoying to watch but actually something that happens a lot in reality...she is a severe case of confirmation bias.

A couple of things dont make sense:
First how come FL doesnt notice that 2nd ML is shady...the facts of the world are: he lost 3 cities and sicks as a military leader yet faces no repercussions which he should. He threatened NH with the lifes of his 2 wifes..that alone shows his character is at least grey and definatly not all good or trustworthy...why does the FL ignore this? Also why does she plot ML death? If she cant be killed because she is the FL it stands to reason that ML also has plot armour and cant be killed so the key events can happen. Third the information about the 2ML past that the FL has is clearly false how come she does not know that when she knows so much correctly about the ML such as his motives? her misconception about the ML can be explained by her bias towards him since she not only read that he is horrible but also saw him try to kill her so it is understandably that she asumes the worst about him becuase it is not only based on rumors but also his actions towards her

But we alreasd establish3d that the story is very cliche and trash...so.its not surprising.

I couldn't agree more. Such poisons dont exist and why do the protagonists always swallow willingly...nobody checked if she did or not...its really stupid. I also hate the aphrodisiac trope...there is no drug on earth that makes yoy uncontrollably horny. Same with " I know its a trap but I walk into it without a plan anyways, plotarmor will safe me" like the FL did when she walked into his study.
Hope it gets better cause I live for red flag Liu Xue Yi...he plays dangerous ML really well.

The FL is sooooo annoying and stupid and useless. She is truly a dumb spoiled princess type who believes any gossip she hears and never gives the ML the benefit of the doubt...I wonder what the ML sees in her. I am at EP 18 and she has not shown any growth or maturity whatsoever...also she always looks like a deer in headlights ...no other expression. ..these types of FL used to be common but recently I guess I have been spoiled by better written FLs. I like he friend though. The costumes are also lacking. Normaly I'd drop this but after PoB I have nothing better to watch untill a dream within a dream airs.

As you've seen I am also not winning any popularity contests with asking for characters that behave even remotely mature and reasonable. Apparently I demand perfection and am a cold ice berg for saying the FLs issues don't justify her behaviour but somehow empathy is reserved only for female characters not male characters who need to be understanding and patient like saints. But it was consoling to see that you had a similar problem with this drama. My favourite type of drama is romantic comedy but not in a modern setting because I find all the office related stories so stupid most of the time. I like to relax when watching drama and see something positive or heartwarming therefore I dont like palace intrigue or crime wich is pretty convoluted most of the time anyways in cdrama land. I have watched many Kdramas and you are right they are better at romantoc comedy but unfortunatly there havnt been many recently. I guess I'll find something old to rewatch until the next good drama comes along. What is your favourite genre?
