Yeahhh maybe so, because like you said, it seems something definitely went on before going abroad. 🤔 My issue is though, is lack of or no communication whatsoever when he left. I'm just thinking maybe from his perspective, he expected that Jie jie who always checked in on him to reach out even if it's to make sure he survived Covid. Hence why I think the grudge he carries stem from. But I don't know much, it's just my speculation.

Here is a quick rundown for Age and Grooming Police, Critic Aunties and Uncles and Morality Warriors 1) This is a fictional story not a Documentary so everything you see is not reality. If you are watching this with a pen and paper to write some life lessons or best age to fall in love then this ain't for you. 2) In the story they have about 11 years age gap whilst in real life the Actors have about 20 years age gap. So if you focus on the story you follow the 11 yr age gap. It doesn't make any sense to apply your knowledge of their real ages to a fictional story. So our Age police I hope you understand. 3) In this story, they met when FL + her husband visited him regarding the sponsorship and that time she was in her 20's and he was in high school. She was married and he was a minor hence there was absolutely nothing improper that happened. They never met again until about 2 years later. FL was going through a divorce and ML had finished high school so he was maybe 19/20 years. And so far, Absolutely nothing improper has happened. So our Grooming Police you can sleep well at night.
Im summary, I hope we don't let our subconscious bias ruin this fictional story. Also, I think it's okay to have views and perceptions on age gap relationships but don't expect everyone to have the same view.
