I don't think so... Maybe 20% are here exclusively for the BL.And it's not something to be proud.
Aww, thanks for clarification. And I do agree to your now comment to an extent however, I can say for myself that BL story in this drama is super interesting. I think what made it more significant is that the characters are likeable and given the short screen time, they managed to pull of a nuanced love story and that to me speaks volume of their acting. In a nutshell this is a couple I didn't expect to find, like, and now love. The other couples, I expected them to be there and I also love them. It's just that Mark and Ou Wen stole my heart...hehe I'm such a simple person...I go by Love who you Love mantra.
1st episode, 16mn - and we already have all the uninventive tropes (the car accident of doom, the rare and romantic-supposedly-uncurable-disease…
Oh you forgot the childhood connection between ML and FL....That's the trope that killed it for me. I was also intrigued by the Go game concept since it's refreshing; actually different from the online gaming dramas we have been bombarded with. And I was ready to learn more about Go and it's intricacies.... But I feel that the game part feels exaggerated and might become a side plot to the romance.
Aaah because somewhere in the middle the plot will start to lose sense, there will be too much dragging, unnecessary angst, a lot of fillers as usual. So I want to save myself the headache. I've watched up to ep. 5 and it's good so far hence the dilemma.

Hmm have you read the comments...well they speak for themselves but I also respect and like others who like the main couple more (actually I don't have anything against to the other couples at all). And what do you mean by that last statement???Anyway, I like the BL couple more and am damn proud of what I like...no harm there. We all like what we like so let's just respect eachother and stay in our lane, shall we :)
An excellent random thought though. Makes eloquent sense to my English brain. I was thinking the exact same thing…
Seriously Brit TV really vex me...I have tried to watch some shows (believe you me, I have) but most times I can't sit through the first 15mins without losing interest. BL dramas are Chef's Kiss and I trully thank the day I stumbled upon Sotus (Thai BL) which let me into this world I can now never imagine to part with. Yes, my family and friends also think I've lost my marbles (let's just say, they have been prioritised last at times due to my obsession) but who cares....as long as I enjoy myself. Oh that's so cool, you have been around Surrey and yeah, we do have pretty damn good restaurants with great views too. Covid-19 left me too anxiois that the only places I've travelled are my bedroom, kitchen and toilet...LoL but with lots of free time to feed my drama obsession. Oh how I wish we could link up or message directly so we can exchange thoughts on BL dramas (believe me, I may need years to finish reveiwing...hehe) because now I feel a little guilty for those who might be forced to read this thread thinking there might be something related to LIS not knowing, it's just our Brit chit chat..huh

Aww, hello hello my fellow Brit. I was surprised as well to meet you here because I have tried and failed to convert my friends (also Brits) to Kdramas which made me start to believe I was alone in this. So it's a pleasure. Ooh Northampton...yes I've been there once. I'm from Surrey and thats South East. Oh I've been watching Asian Dramas for over a decade now so I'm your Sunbae on this...Lol
Okay this sounds exciting. I have always considered Steven Zhang a great actor who is underrated actually so can't wait to delve into this money, espionage, twisty, story. Aaaand How dare you Writers to unite Steven and Liang Jie but not as our OTP....like really (I feel salty, hehe)

..."(thankfully, we Brits so don't have this stigma)" Oh yes, absolutely, we Brits don't have age gap stigma...well, as long they are consenting legal age adults. It's nice to find a fellow Brit here π
I'm confused is Lu Mang or Duan Chong the ML?? Better not be Lu Mang
If you mean romantic link, I think it's Duan Chong, however Lu Mang os also ML as he has a professional role to play in XX's life. But then again, we never know absolutely until the drama ends.
Most serial killers are socially awkward single men who live alone... πππIf only it were that simple.
Rightπ It's like, it will be weird to imagine a serial killer as just an average Joe with a 9-5 job and goes to the shops to buy bread every Saturdayπ
The most silly thing ever I have done: I spent the whole 2 ep. looking for Vic Zhou and not realising he is there and his character is the the inmate 5701πππ. When I saw his character, my first thought was oh, he is hot but never did it occur to me that it's the hot Vic Zhou so I was actually peeved thinking that he will come up later. The joke is on me really. Talk about the drama so far, I think it's doing a pretty good job. And nope, I don't find it scary at all. It's probably the first Taiwanese drama of this intensity I have watched.
Totally agree looks can only get you so far FL & ML need to keeps peoples interest continue in watching . Iβm…
Lol, I can tell, she is not your cup of tea. I actually like her and yes, I still think she is pretty even with that ton of makeup on...afterall how many actresses have we seen without. But as for her acting, I don't like it and I hope someday it gets better.
I'm on ep. 5 now and still no LHY...I wonder how many more ep. before he shows up. I am struggling to love this drama because the setting especially the bullies at work is the cliche old story done over and over again. But my main struggle is connecting with XX's character. I actually don't get the arc of her character. With the story set-up I was expecting to be feeling all kinds of emotions for our heroin including empathy and love but so far, I actually got more annoyed by her behaviour more than anything. As for the loveline, I don't think there is any between XX and LM because the latter seems to be married with a kid. Talk of which, Am I the only who thinks they could have tone down the yellow lighting π€ Everything looks yellow and it's quite distracting.

I ain't got time for 41 ep....nope
Let me know.
