you know what I like about this novel? the fact that fan Xian's family has no toxic relationships even tho he's the "illegitimate" son and are very close. i hardly see this kind of thing

the movie wasn't that entertaining as i thought it would be (guess I got sick and tired of anti japanese and republican era war dramas bc my dad ONLY EVER watch it) and only came cuz of TianYu but the only thing I got was a bunch of old dudes and actors who i dont rlly give a shit about (I even skipped the Lay and Li YiFeng part since I only came for Ma TianYu)
