I agree with you. I got a similar impression while watching Gold Panning. Though he's good at detirmed and down-to-earth scenes (the scene with the huge leaf he holds over his head), he's not as good at sad scenes. (The scene where he cried one tear was cut a little too obviously...)

I'm basing it on the quality/originality of the clothes and set design. But yeah, most dramas can't keep up with really high budget productions like Ruyi's Royal Love.

Baidu mentions they were founded in 2014 and have 100-300 employees, so they're likely a smaller production company. They produced Nice To Meet You (2021) and I Don’t Make Headlines (2017), which are both modern drama.

I absolutely agree! They probably think that the people in the bus didn't help out their daughter 5 years ago, so now the current passengers are guilty too even though they're completely different people. Li Shiqing only managed to get off the bus because of the 'pervert', so maybe she turns 'innocent' in their eyes. Idk, this is just my speculation that I wanted to share.

I understand, not everyone will enjoy every drama. I like it a lot, but have to admit that the transitions between the slow backstories and hectic events in the bus is jarring for me. But take a look at ep. 8 if you want.
