Just finished episode 8. There is good buildup of the story in these first few episodes, plus the visuals and nature shots are beautiful, and the characters are interesting, e.g., I like the dynamics and banter between Song Ran and Li Zan, and Benjamin and Dr. Pei 🙂. I hope it continues to get better and not become dragging later on.

I started this last night and watched 4 episodes in one go. I would have continued on if I didn't have an early morning meeting 😃. So far, I find the story interesting and I like the leads' chemistry.

I'm 5 episodes into this drama and it 's so funny and interesting, I'm hooked 😂! I‘m glad I decided to watch this, and I'm looking forward to how the story will unfold.

Agree. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it's not bad. I actually enjoyed this one. Different people just have different tastes. Same comment on Bai's ending. I think they rushed how it happened, and he had it easy. I'd prefer he live with the consequences of his actions and hear how JYY and YJL fluorished in Yizhou. Who knows he might be able to redeem himself later on.

I agree with you on the romance. I'm satisfied with their scenes together. Of course, if they have more sweet moments, then that would be great.

Finished this drama today. I quite enjoyed it, and as I previously said, the story's build-up, pacing and character development are good. Great acting by the entire cast, especially Seven Tan and Zheng Ye Cheng! They brought their characters to life and they have great chemistry. I like that the drama showcased things and info about silk and brocades. Some parts towards the end could have been better executed though, and they could have given a better wrap up for two of the characters. But overall, it's still a good watch, and I would recommend it!

Me too! I think Lu Yu Xiao is a versatile actress. I've seen her in "My Journey to You" and her character there is so different from Shao Yao, but she nailed it too!
