Personally I don't think NYZ and RRY faked their deaths. Even if they were tired in court politics, they would…
This is a good point: "He's not one who is too obsessive that...but puts him in a fog where he could not see his way out and keeps pulling him back." Despite his flaws, he's one of the characters that I like in this drama.
Personally I don't think NYZ and RRY faked their deaths. Even if they were tired in court politics, they would…
That's also my comment on LTG. His character had a lot of potential for growth and development, but these were not maximized. They focused too much on his obsession with RRY.
Although the ending totally sucks with all the mains dying…it isn’t unrelastic. They set off in a suicide…
Yes, it's not unrealistic. NYZ said (I think more than once) that their mission is "jiu si yi sheng" (9 chances of dying and one chance of living). But of course, it would be better if the story did not end that way.
During the drama we have a LTG who when it comes to scheming and business is all sober , serious and quite manipulative…
Well said. Imo, LTG's character has a lot of potential for growth and development, but these were not maiximized. They focused too much on his obsession.
Ugh I knew most of us called it halfway through the show that it would be a SE, but goddammit. binged the last…
Agree that there is mutual respect between LTG and YY, not mention respect for both RRY and NYZ. I would like to think that in the long run, they would grow as a couple and fall in love with each other, even have children of their own. I wish they had included some scenes on them, their children and how they are helping the young emperor. I'm glad there are others here who have the same sentiment.
i wanted to see more of LTG & YY's marriage/regency; at the end it kind of seemed like LTG enjoyed getting woman…
I so agree with this statement: "LTG was handled by a woman from day one so it is not out of character for him to bow to another strong woman especially one trained by his obssession." - My thoughts exactly! The fact that they were both disciples of RRY made him respect and warm up more to YY. His development arc in the last episode is really too short.
Firstly: I love CY and I particularly liked her scenes with LTG, I didn't ship them romantically like I didn't…
Same here. I wanted that kind of ending for YY and LTG, to at least show us a slice of their married life (preferrably with their children), how they have grown to love each other, and how they are helping the young emperor. I'm glad there are others here who have the same sentiment.
pero naguguluhan parin ako sa ending dko gets pwedeng pa explain sa mga nakagets? thank you in advance
I think it's an open ending for NYZ and RRY, so it depends on how you interpret it. Possible that they are both alive, managing to miraculously escape or fake their deaths, OR they're really dead and Chu Yue was just imagining things, OR the child's name and background are just coincidences.
I finished this drama today. I had mentioned that I was thinking whether to continue after 8 episodes, because I had a vague idea of what's to come after seeing some comments in passing. I'm glad I watched it to the end! Overall, the story's good and intriguing, the fight scenes are incredible, and the cast did pretty well. Liu Yu Ning and Cecilia Liu are great in their roles, they fit their characters. A special mention to the other characters that I like: Yu Shi San ~ funny, witty and vain ladies' man. He gave me a good laugh many times 😄. Yang Ying ~ from a timid, shy young lady to a confident, smart and decisive Li Wang/Princess Li Chen. Yuan Lu ~ a loyal, jolly and kind-hearted fellow. Li Tong Guang ~ capable and ambitious, but also obsessed and unpredictable at times.
As for the ending (and the last few eps by extension), yes, it could have been better, and I'm still absorbing it. But as a whole, it's a gripping drama and a good watch for me.
Ep 30 and 31 I got so emotional. Lini's men were like family to him. For those who blamed him for their deaths…
Agree. I don't think Li Ni is to blame for what happened. His brothers were planning to put him down anyway because they see him as a big threat to their plans. So something like this would have happened, regardless if he wants to be crown prince or just go back to Lao Lan Guan.
Despite his flaws, he's one of the characters that I like in this drama.

Based on the clip, Jing Tian is not in this episode. I had been hoping they would appear in Hi6 together.
