If you read the synopsis, you’d instantly get the hunch that the ajusshi would die right at the start of the…
i hate to stupidly ask this because I was glued to the TV through and through, but did they ever mention what he died from or was it just assumed/never gone into? I thought I missed something but wasn't sure.
Agreeing with the other commenters - this is a classic case as to why you should check the comments and discussions about a drama and ignore the stupid ratings. Not to mention it's only 2 episodes in, we don't know how good or bad it will get so review bombing it right off the bat is people trolling.
What's wrong with the rating system of MDL? Almost all top airing k-drama are at 7.6-7.8 range. This is strange.
ikr, and it was 8.1 this morning when I checked. It's just being number bombed for no reason, it's only been 2 episodes so there's absolutely no logical reason it only has 7.8. Within the span of 7-8 hours it already went down by 0.3.
I haven't rated it because I don't usually do that until a drama is over, but this is definitely a case of review bombing. The first episode was good and once I get to it, I'm sure episode two is even better and starts picking up.
I'm convinced this show has crack in it, the amount of times I've rewatched and wanted to rewatch Season 1 is infinite lol The soundtrack too is one of the best I've heard. Sweet Home and Tears of Sweet Home hit hard.
If this isn't a "people assuming one gender interacting with the other gender meant a romance was blossoming" drama. They're partners y'all, that's it lol and they've both got a story so they both have their own personal reasons why they're doing this job. James is unhinged a little bit and only "nice" to her when he feels like it most of the time 😂 at least that's what I get from it.
Yes we understand the story - poor excuse to say people "just don't get it" and that's why we don't like this season. it's literal crap and feels AI written due to how many plot holes conflict with Season 1's lore and world building. The writer literally made it far into season 1 and went "oops, didn't account for this and this and this etc." so they pulled this season from their butt. And every Romance cliché in the book is in this Season. The first season avoided many annoying clichés, but they just had to ruin it here. Save yourself and watch in 2× speed or skip all the boring plotless nothingness that occurs and everyone acting extremely out of character. I rewatched this against my will because I showed the drama to someone and they needed the full story, but I couldn't believe I had forgotten just how much of a jerk Jang-uk became and also Yul. So so out of character for both of them. I'm baffled how people like this, it turned into the "Stone cold ML who's a jerk to the Woman and treats her like crap" trope when it was different at first and that's what made it unique. All the Men ended up talking like a Woman, you could just tell something is off with how they're speaking and never did before. C'mon, the Crown Prince making a soulful, overly soppy and emotion driven speech? no, that's not like him at ALL. I cringed through 90% of the dialogue.
I'm convinced everyone has lost their minds. The forced hate is so ridiculous, there's some issues, yes, but that doesn't mean it was bad. I feel like everyone nowadays just WANTS something to complain about and can't actually enjoy something without being a critic. If something is actually bad, you can voice what you think, but being so picky to the point you're throwing away all logic (like wanting Chishiya back when the actor is literally having issues) is absurd and incorrectly placed critiques. Obviously a lot of people care more about their own entertainment than the actors themselves and their health.
Superficial reason much for disliking a drama.Edit: seriously can't believe how many hearts this commenter got…
And why is that? Because people can be super toxic about people's appearance and can't look past it. These actors won't be allowed to be in the industry without it because of how ridiculous beauty standards can be and how critical people are towards them.

I think that's perfectly okay about you not preferring the storyline and it's for a younger audience, I've seen parts of the show and it can be quite cringey, sure. but why attack the actors, saying they're unattractive and a make it a huge reason why you dropped it? I mean, if you don't find someone attractive it's not a crime, but it being the why you won't watch it is surface level. All I'm saying is, if you use this mentality with other shows, you may miss out on some great series just because you think they're ugly. It should be about their talent instead, right..?
Anyway, you're entitled to think what you want to in the end.
it's based off a 2020 - 2021 Manga called Alice in Borderland Retry, which is still written by the same author as the original, they just expanded on it and this is where this season came from. Arisu does go back into borderland and a lot of it is the same, just changed some things to fit, same as what happened with the first two seasons. it's not 100% Netflix, the Manga actually exists. This person has the facts a little incorrect or they're making it sound like whatever happened in here was non-existent in a Manga when that's not true.
Rewatching from the top... Dare I say... I miss Jeok-bong from this season lol Kind of sucks in season 2 So Mun had a personality switch because I loved the additional member to the team.
Very mediocre seriesthought it would be something different, maybe more phylosophical or pure actionbut they inserted…
There was an OST at the end though and sometimes played in the middle, along with their theme song intro. Close your eyes, Meet again, No Problem. They were awesome little treats at the end of the episodes in my opinion.
