This episode was awesome, so intriguing and it's only the 2nd one.
Honestly, politics are harsh, like it's been literally just one day and they're already pressuring Singha to close the case. Like, at least wait a week before you decide to call in backup! Who the hell solves a serial killing case in 24 hours? King has a schmuck face that I want to punch (no hate to the actor of course)
Also, I'm hoping it's a translation issue but it really bugged me that they kept referring to a transwomen as a man, that's not right. Other than that, this series is so freaking good. It's literal torture waiting until next Friday.
Pavel is so freaking hot, I can't get over it. Pitbabe was fine and all but he just seems...manlier here. Pooh is adorable but I hope they get into his character a bit more, I want to see more from him other than following Singha around like a puppy.

Well, this was way better than I thought it would be! I usually avoid horror genres at all costs so I told myself even if I love PoohPavel, if it creeped me out too much I wouldn't continue. I mean...it did kinda creep me out but I think I'll stick around for awhile. One of the things I really like about Thai horror or I guess Asian horror, is how they weave their culture, lore and superstitions into the stories so it's not your average jump-scare but a really rich blend of supernatural elements.
Pooh has definitely gotten better and his chemistry with Pavel is fire as always. I have to say I'm a sucker for the weak top and muscled bottom trope and I'm glad they're sticking with it. So often you have the smaller, thinner one be the bottom but not here and I just love that they didn't ever go the stereotypical route with them or change the position now that PitBabe is done. I look forward to the next episode, I think Thailand should definitely focus on adapting more of their books to series, as we saw with Khemjira, it really works when you have a popular blueprint on what to make.

I absolutely loved this. 10/10 all the way. I usually start to lose interest in a lot of shows midway but this kept me engaged and coming back for more every week. I'm so sad this is over and my weekends are going to be dreadfully empty for a while. I need KengNamping to act in another show stat!! That we'll have to wait god knows how long for Magic Lover is a travesty.
The music was exquisite, there wasn't a single song that I disliked and i'll be listening to the whole playlist for a while now to ease the sadness.
Haaa....I'll really miss this show. I feel like it's a really sad reality that you don't get that many good BLs anymore and when one really hits the mark and sets such a huge standard it takes forever for a new one to try to meet that standard. I really hope that companies start paying attention to what the fans clearly like and start putting in more effort with their productions.

I know they're old enough in real life. That was never the point. I just meant in terms of acting skills.
They're very talented obviously but MuTeLuv was very short so they didn't have to really put forth a lot of emotion. I have no doubt they'll do well, just thought they should have done a bit more first. Kinda wish their MTL segment was longer so they could have flexed their acting chops more.

I more mean in terms of skills and experience. In Bad Buddy OhmNanon were kinda in the same age group that SeaKeen are with this series but I felt like they could pull it off. They were young and silly but they looked the part of uni students. Because both actors had been around for so long and there was a build up to uni roles it felt a bit more natural. But yes, uni is just a step from high school so I'm sure they'll do well. I really hope they go far with their pairing

Maybe it's just me but I feel like Sea and Keen just don't look ready for university roles yet. They're both only 20 and they're such newbies that it just doesn't feel like they have the experience to pull it off yet. While I'm not the most fond of high school dramas there have been plenty of good ones (Boys in love, my school president, high school frenemy and Eclipse if you want a more serious school vibe) I just think they should have done a school drama, waited a bit and then moved onto uni roles.
Their chemistry is great and they were so good in MuTeLuv but I feel like their pairing needs a bit more nurturing before they're put in more adult roles. It feels like GMMTV is so obsessed with ushering in the new gen of BL boys that they're not giving space to the already existing ones that have forged their ships over the span of years and are only just getting recognition or having their ships changed cos it didn't get enough attention.
That said, I do have high hopes and I am looking forward to this since I enjoyed them so much in MTL.

That's a real shame but still a lot can be done in 16 episodes. I just feel like they wasted a lot of time that could have been focused on developing the characters relationships properly. Wen Lang took up so much time looking pretty but sitting in his office chair being an idiot when they could have exchanged those for more time with Gao Tu...or they could have done a special episode for their three years apart, just one more could have made this drama perfect but it feels unsatisfying leaving it like that.
I hope their other projects go better. Since they'll be doing separate ones it means they won't have to share screen time so at least we get them in a different universe

Just one more episode would have been enough to tie up Gao Tu and Wen Langs story. Or at least a special episode devoted to just their story. I really dislike when a drama doesn't leave enough room for it's side characters and wastes all it's time on scenes for the main's that weren't necessary. If a 16 episode Kdrama can tell a whole story with multiple characters getting their time in, it is simply bad planning, lazy writing and zero foresight when a Cdrama can't do the same with only two couples.
Lord knows they had enough budget, just wish some of it had been allocated for better writing or planning for how to adapt a book properly.
That said, I did enjoy it for what it was. It's not the best, but it's not the worst, that's all I can say. Whether you liked the drama or not, Revenged Love did a lot more with a lot less, sure it had more episodes but they sure knew how to make use of their time with their significantly smaller budget.
(You're telling me ABOs big budget couldn't afford at least 17/18 episodes?!)

Exactly, like I don't mind the nc scenes, looking forward to it since they have great chemistry, but I just hope they won't be cringey about it because I fear that with an added omegaverse tag it might severely turn people off as too weird and I don't want to have to deal with people vilifying omegaverse due to one hypothetically bad series (that's why I hope they do well) .

As much as I love omegaverse I can acknowledge it is an acquired taste and while ABOdesire was quite groundbreaking, it still had to deal with Chinese censorship, this is Thai though and it has no such restrictions as we've already seen what My Stubborn was capable of.
As we all know omegaverse is rife with SA and not everyone understands the concept (pheromones, mpreg, heat/rut) it can be quite weird for some so I just hope they do well with this.
I hope the plot is good and that they do the genre justice instead of trying to follow an emerging trend and chock it full of NC to distract from anything not so great.
(Don't mind the NC but I just hope they weave it in well with the story and do their research on how omegaverse's operate....Also I literally beeeeggggg for a baby. The fact that CharlieBabe never had a baby despite the while PapaMama stuff is criminal)
(Also that title....my god, I just know they're going to go into detail and I can't wait...)

Japanese BL of late have been very slow paced and flowery so to get a BL where it's yakuza and they're having car sex! Whoa, this gonna be good.

This was perfect, perfect, perfect. I've never watched a show or episode more perfect than this. I loved that this ep was solely devoted to developing the relationships of both couples.
I love that even though Jet enjoyed their first time together he did feel a bit of regret for rushing into it, and I love that they both communicated and agreed to slow things down.
Peem and Khem....my god. I am in love.
They so perfectly captured this beautiful first time exploration of each other's bodies between them and I like that they didn't go all the way. It wasn't about that, it was such loving intimacy that two inexperienced people were sharing together.
Also I love that Peem had facial expressions during the deed, so often the, top I guess, doesn't show much pleasure but he so did here.
And my god the last 5 minutes gave me anxiety....that I have to wait a full week to find out more...devastating. i hope it's another 2 hours lol.

I can't be the only one who doesn't really like Peng, right? Like, from the get go he's been so antagonistic to Lava, and I get it, problem child whatever but it feels more like he's projecting his own issues and judging Lava without actually trying to understand him and help him.
Like, sure give a bit of tough love and a reality check to get him in line, but throwing his dead dad in his face? Not cool.
I hope they get closer and come to an understanding cos as of yet...I dunno.
Wave is so uppity though, it's adorable and I like that even though Lava annoys him and grosses him out he's desperately clinging onto the only person that feels like solid ground.
Lava as well, I like him, he's honestly not as freaking bad as everyone else is making him out to be.

This drama is literally proof that a astronomical budget is not needed to make an amazing show.
I typically always avoid horror, I don't like it and the first ep kinda had that jump-scare theme going for it before it finally slipped into a more supernatural aspect, which I love so I'm glad it hooked me from the get go so I didn't drop it immediately.
Also I really like that it's only two couples. I've never liked it when there's more than two because more often than not the third couple never get any screen time and the screen time that they do get just eats up the development of the rest of the story/main couples. Two couplings is the ideal and I wish BLs would keep it that way instead of adding more and more. (I mean the next prince had like three, four pairings?....couldn't keep up)

I meant those as two separate things. There are a lot of boring BLs that are just being made for the sake of putting a BL out there with no thought for plot AND then there are the NC shows (which I do like as well) that are making quite a step forward in the market. I just think we're so used to sex being a focal point in things that we forget to appreciate the ones that focus more on feeling.

??What is with the strangely lukewarm response to this series? Maybe it's just me but in my opinion, it was pretty damn good. In such a highly over-saturated world of mediocre BLs, this was rock solid. I think people have been so overstuffed with NC dramas that when they're faced with a show that is pure longing, yearning and subtlety, they don't know what to do with it.
But I find that I really like drama's where they can literally show me with their eyes how much they want someone, rather than them climbing into bed immediately with each other. I like those too, duh, but sometimes things on the softer side are nice too.

I have something that is confusing me, if anyone knows the answer from the book or has a theory, much obliged.
In the 1st ep Khem's mom told him that her family is cursed and every MALE in it dies violently before they're 21. That indicates that the curse is affecting bloodlines.
But Khem is clearly a REINCARNATION of Khemika who was a girl and not of Khemjira's bloodline...? So is it reincarnation that the curse follows or bloodlines? And why would it affect Mika, a girl, when the mom said it affects the men...?
If anyone knows the answer🙏

They have to release it fast otherwise it runs the risk of being cancelled, so ultimately it's best to just get all the episodes out rather than releasing 4 of them and then literally not being able to put out the rest. Sucks that they have to take such measures but....I also find my interest holds longer with a bit of anticipation but I'll enjoy it at my own pace either way
