Ok, wow, what a ride. Honestly, I enjoyed it. It was a really good series but I think it's biggest problem is that it had such big shoes to fill, too big. OF season 1 was explosive in my opinion. My jaw would drop, I would gasp out loud, I would laugh, cry and feel every emotion under the sun. They weren't afraid to experiment and it paid off big time. This one...felt safe. Like they knew fans of the first season would gravitate towards this one and if they showed us something kinda messy we would still think it was ground breaking. It wasn't though, it was very clean. And I hate, hate, hate that they were so afraid of mixing couples when honestly that's what everyone was waiting for. Like you didn't need to be sooo scared of incurring the anger of the fans for them kissing different people. We were waiting for that!!! Everyone acted really well with what they had though, they're incredibly talented men, Mix in particular shone for me. Lord that man can tell a story with his eyes. Very similar to Khao. Boston was completely underused and that upset me the most, I wish they had given him a bit more of an ending after his encounter with Nick, like maybe finally moving on or considering getting into a serious relationship finally. All in all, it was good but not as great as it could have been, hopefully they learn from this.
I hope beyond hope that they make a 3rd season though, that cameo from Great!!! Amazing. But this time I want workforce not college, I want CEO F-buddy with his secretary, sleeping your way to the top, backstabbing employee's, corporate espionage, actors that are a little more mature...Argh, can you imagine?! I'm thinking GreatBright (Since they seem to be a budding ship) OffGun and call me crazy but I want the 3rd CP to be a GL, like maybe EmiBonnie. I see Great, Off and Emi as siblings fighting for the company and Bonnie is an intern that catches Emi's eye, Gun is the secretary in FWB thing with his boss Off but is actually giving info to Great who he actually likes and who is using Gun's affection against him. Bright is maybe engaged to Emi but has a love/hate with Great....man I wish I could pitch this🤣🤣🤣
Wow, this was cute! Like, it was so peaceful and soft and funny. I loved it. The vibe is so summery and the chemistry is so sweet and genuine, especially from such young actors. Also am I crazy or does Progress kinda look like Nat Natasit? Like, the way their mouths move and their smiles make it seem like they could so play brothers. Ah, Wednesday's are going to be so lovely from now on.
Ok, WHAT??! That was Krist???? Honestly, it was only after watching the episode and coming here to the comments that I realized it was Krist. No. Freaking. Way! In recent years he has definitely improved but I had ZERO idea he could do that! He was so creepy and unsettling and sly...whoa...seriously I'm so impressed. This story is so interesting, like the lore and the acting. Also Nani's fight scenes are amazing. GMMTV usually has the WORST fight scenes that end up super cringey but these were perfect. Urgh, that I have to wait a whole week for the next episode is torture...
Wow, just wow. This was so much better than I expected? Especially since it didn't feel like there was much build up or promo happening before this series just came out so I wasn't sure how to feel about it. But it was so freaking good. The acting, the tone, the plot, the chemistry! Sky and Nani ATE! Niran's mysterious but kinda playful attitude paired with Pete's cocky tiredness was just perfection. Nani is soo freaking hot and his fight scene was so good, nothing awkward about it and when he shot that gun? Argh, so hot. And Sea! Lord, he legit scared me while acting as the yao, I need more of his acting to be showed like that. The one thing that bugs me though....9 episodes?! Only 9?! Whyyyy are they decreasing the amount of episodes these days, 10 already felt too little but it was acceptable but now 9? I hate this Netflix style era of 8 episodes!!!! If thai BLs start doing it as well I will be sooo pissed. (I mean, isn't Ticket to Heaven only like 5 episodes too? I hate that) I can't wait for the next episode though, maybe it's just me but I kinda like that it's just bromance, some people are just really good at the yearning, longing stares and SkyNani are that, it makes the tension and the chemistry so much sweeter as opposed to just having them kiss and be in a relationship (not that I would hate that though...🤣) I just feel like it forces them to rely on something that isn't physical but no less tangible.
Look, I enjoy it, it's fun and crazy and the chaos is insane but it somehow still doesn't hit the same spot that the first season did. And no, of course they can't be similar but I feel like the first set such a huge standard and this one is just playing it safe by being soooo strict with their pairings. The "almost kisses" were fine in the beginning when it was just starting out and the story was still progressing but it happening over and over and over again just got old and frustrating really quick. And it's not even about other pairings kissing or not, but it feels like all the couples here are going to reconcile and end up together...(personally I think Jack and Dean should break up for good, ArnoldTua should end up together and RomeRaffy should be open-ending) ...I feel like I should rewatch the first after this is done just to have that satisfying messy endings. Also I LOVED the Nick cameo! It was literally perfect. Boston has indeed done a lot of work and come a long way but you can see that it's too late. I think that even if Nick wasn't dating he would have still refused him, the hurt runs too deep and he probably knows he himself would be toxic in a relationship with Boston. I like that they were civil and even though there was a certain level of forgiveness, Nick was very honest that Boston did a lot of damage and didn't let him off the hook simply because time had passed.
Qin's parents are the WORST!!! Like, I'm actually astounded at how fucking awful they are! Your child comes to you, hurt and all you can tell them is "don't be snarky" "we ignored you but let you do whatever you want so be a good boy again" "it's my fault, are you satisfied?" like...crazy people! You're wondering why he never brought it up? Cos you didn't provide him with the tools to know how to do that and you let his abuser walk completely FREE when you had video and medical evidence to have her thrown in jail! I don't care that Qin "made up" with them, they are awful people and useless parents. But I did like seeing Qin open up more and more, especially with how affectionate he is with Duang. Their little kisses were so cute and lovely. The difference between Qin’s parents and Duang’s were so stark and almost offensive at how they were so much more present and loving and you could see how comfortable Qin was even though he’s not good in situations that require talking and interacting. Haa, I’m gonna miss this series when it’s over, though I can’t help but wish they would pull a Fourever You and make more stories for the side couples. I wanna see Pae and Tong becoming something and I want messy jealous drama with Jett and Marvis, they’re all too interesting to remain background characters.
Wronged him?! Lady, you abused your child, out here trying to lighten your literal crime....Qin is too good in forgiving them... This episode was the best! Duang and Qin are finally together!!! Their love scene was to die for, obsessed with how well DMD does their NC scenes, they're always so intimate and sexy. Also TeeTee, damn, bro has one hell of a sleeper build, I didn't know he was that built. I can't believe there's only 3 episodes left, I'm gonna be so sad when this is over...ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
am i tripping or is Klao's assistant/maid not Tonnam anymore? or is it still Tonnam, but it's just the styling/make…
I feel like he got replaced and mydramalist just didn't update the casting? That or he lost a serious amount of weight and I just don't recognize him anymore
Why?????? Who the hell was this even made for? Like, is this what they think BL lovers actually like?! It's sick and gross and I regret watching it. There are soooo many different plots that can be done that are maybe a bit more mature and dark but this was just straight up rape with zero story to make up for it.
Oh my gosh, is Tao Sarocha just every BL boy's mother now?😂😂😂 also I've missed PerthSanta, I'm so glad they're a main couple again, it's crazy to think that this is only their 3rd series together, I think, it feels like they've been together forever. Guess great chemistry is like that
Gosh TeeTee is killing this role as Duang. It's actually really difficult because a character like Duang can get irritating really fast but he's doing it with such an endearing charm that I just can't hate that hyperactive over-the-top-ness. His excitable screams and baby voices are sooo cute, especially since it's not actually always like that. His voice noticeably lowers when the situation is serious or he's talking to someone he doesn't like, and especially when he goes into seduction mode with Qin. The switch up in tone is amazingly done. Not to mention how the air just feels heavier when he's upset and stressed, like it's as if he's taken all the air with him. I also love what a horn-dog Duang is 😂 and I'm kind of glad they didn't make him or Qin virgins, like they were both pretty upfront about their past experiences and positions they preferred, plus let's be honest, we all knew Por was gonna be the bottom in their ship. (Hate stereotypes and love switches but usually when one is taller and bulkier, 9 out of 10 times they're the top) Por is also doing so well though, Qin is such black cat vibes and paired with Duang's golden retriever energy, it's a dynamic I am such a sucker for, their shower scene was to die for. Side characters....Jaime and Mars, I like it but the English is kinda cringe sometimes, no hate but I just chuckle when I hear it. And even though I do like them, not enough time is being given to them for me to fully and truly care much about them. I'm waaay more curious about Tong and Pae. Like Pae is for real cat-fishing Tong and we're getting nothing from that storyline??!! Like, when is Tong gonna find out? Is he gonna be upset that it's a guy, not a girl? Does Pae have feelings for him or is it just to help out Duang? How did they get in contact with each other in the first place anyways? I have so many questions....!
You know, after watching the trailer and the special I have to say that having the cast change was for the best. Although I hate how OhmLeng were bullied out of their ship, I don't think this would have been a good series for them. Leng is a good actor for sure but waay too green for a more grown up role like Raffy, and even though Ohm has been in a lot of BLs I don't think he has the personality for Rome, (talented though he may be) especially if he really needs to be super connected to his partner. Aou and Boom have been together for a long time and you can see how comfortable they are together, how their kisses aren't awkward, it's mature and lustful. I just know they're gonna kill this role and it was about time they got to show off their acting chops and stop being relegated to the guest star couple. I think OhmLeng would have been rather a weak point in a series of couples whose ships are a lot more established than theirs was at the time, they would have been overwhelmed by the stronger chemistries. (if they were still together they would have been better off in a series with just them or one other couple, where they could shine rather than sharing, I wish better things for them both in the future)
The way that I feel like Keng and Namping could play Chen Li and Xiao Zhi in a Thai adaptation, I want it sooo bad. I feel like if they filmed in a more mountain area or something there would be some beautiful Thai shots. Plus it could really add a lot more without having to worry about censorship.
As someone who read the webtoon years and years ago, I'll admit my memory on this isn't too great but I still remember enough and this....well, it's not bad but it's not great. Maybe this might sound ageist but the actors just feel waay too old to be playing these characters. This really would have suited a younger group of actors in their mid twenties, not ones almost in their forties, ones who could kind of get away with the charming stupidity of kdrama logic and doing dumb things, cos you know, they're clearly young and dumb. Oh Yeon Seo and Choi Jin Hyuk just....don't feel like they're pulling off that fresh and impulsive vibe that the story needs, maybe if they had been paired together for a more mature drama instead.... (Also OYS has an extremely tiny face and she is DROWNING in that hairstyle, like it is literally weighing her down.) I'm not a stickler for "it has to be the exact same as the webtoon" cos Business Proposal changed quite a bit as well but the changes done here were just boring and unnecessary and even though this is only 12 eps, I don't think it's gonna get more exciting.
I love, love this series. It's so funny and has been the highlight of my Saturdays and I've seriously enjoyed how viral it went with everyone doing scenes from it. That said, I still have a few complaints. I mistakenly thought this series was going to be 12 eps but when I saw it was only 10 I was shocked. Nothing happened in this series. Like, the side characters that had so much potential were just atrociously squandered. Aran and Tawan, they were this messy, toxic couple that I really wanted to see either part ways amicably after realizing they weren't good for each other or to see Tawan on his knees begging for a second chance. But they were barely in here and they quite frankly didn't even need to be here with what little they were given, it was an insult to the talent and chemistry that is PerthSanta and even though they were barely in it, they took up valuable plot time. Tee's character Tatsuya was sooo disappointing. Like how can GMMTV be so bad at giving most of their series actual conflict? He should have shown up way earlier and been an actual threat to Peach. They built up Thee's mafia life as being so dangerous and being constantly surrounded by enemies but the one and only time that Peach was in trouble it was someone from HIS life, not Thee's. I wish they had Tatsuya kidnap Peach to threaten Thee (instead of having him idiotically going after Thee ON HIS OWN with NO guards! Who does that?) And then had a big fight with Thee that leaves Peach finally seeing with his own eyes how dangerous Thee's world actually is for him and wanting to take a step back cos he's scared. It would have made his resolve to learn guns and fighting a lot more impactful cos he wants to overcome his now legitimate fear and still be with Thee. I wish they had committed to making Rome more of a fixture in Mok's life, like really shown how conflicted he felt with his loyalty to Thee, a friend and a boss he has to potentially die for, and his love for someone as forbidden as Rome. In which case, the dad should honestly have been a bigger obstacle. It was cute how supportive he was but if Tatsuya wasn't going to be the big bad, then father should have been. All in all, it's fun, I enjoy it, I'll absolutely watch it again for laughs but it left me seriously wanting at certain points.
Maybe it's just me but since I've been watching so many BLs that have in your face romance and sex (heated rivalry currently😜) I guess I really enjoyed watching something that was slow, sensual and where body language, chemistry and the longing in their eyes have to do most of the work for them as opposed to an NC scene. Not to mention I've come to expect this kind of slowness from JBLs since they are notoriously slow, sometimes to the point that I actually lose interest so in that regard I'm glad it was a movie and not a series cos that would have made it even slower. Not to mention I watch so many censored CBLs that stuff like slow burns hardly bother me, in fact I think it makes a story better sometimes because you actually have to focus on other things and let your imagination sometimes fill in the blanks. Especially with the ending, which I know some people are a bit disappointed in, but to me I think it's the perfect open ending, it leaves it to the viewers to happily imagine what comes next for these beautiful characters and you can then create any future for them that you like. A bit like fanfiction really. A trip to Cuba with them dancing alone on the beach....damn, now I want them doing a special 😂 Either way, I super enjoyed this and I can't wait to watch it again.
OMG! Did no one else notice that the victims house in the beginning was Porsche's house? That was so freaking funny, love it when I recognize reused houses. Also why am I watching this?? I don't like horror😂 I guess it speaks to how well it's done that I'm still here and watching it. Like, I need to find out what happened with Sey and Darin and I want to see King get brutally eaten by a ghost, I'm sure the actor is great but I so wanna punch him. Also, my boy Thup, stop telling people you can see ghosts and get some damn legal aide in there with you when these officers are questioning you. Also I don't think it's wrong of Thup to doubt Singha. They've known each other like 3 days and jump off a cliff cos you said so kind of trust is just supposed to magically be there? Nah-uh, nope, I would need waaayy more than that. But the sizzling chemistry between them, whew, they way that they were staring at each other was amazing. I really like this drama, it really makes Fridays fun, and tomorrow Me and Thee is coming out. The weekends are just the absolute best.
This episode was awesome, so intriguing and it's only the 2nd one. Honestly, politics are harsh, like it's been literally just one day and they're already pressuring Singha to close the case. Like, at least wait a week before you decide to call in backup! Who the hell solves a serial killing case in 24 hours? King has a schmuck face that I want to punch (no hate to the actor of course) Also, I'm hoping it's a translation issue but it really bugged me that they kept referring to a transwomen as a man, that's not right. Other than that, this series is so freaking good. It's literal torture waiting until next Friday. Pavel is so freaking hot, I can't get over it. Pitbabe was fine and all but he just seems...manlier here. Pooh is adorable but I hope they get into his character a bit more, I want to see more from him other than following Singha around like a puppy.
This one...felt safe. Like they knew fans of the first season would gravitate towards this one and if they showed us something kinda messy we would still think it was ground breaking.
