I literally let out a laugh after they finished the scene. Either the writers are the biggest vanillas in existence…
Also you just had a one night stand and you're already getting that intimate with him? What was with that nuzzle when he said it wouldn't be their only night? A he's a stranger and B if you want a sub you ask them to be your play partner and come up with things you enjoy together. With all the BDSM stuff out there, you'd think they'd have better content to copy.
This was god-awful! I almost have no idea what the hell I watched. If I could describe it in one word, that would be Awkward. Everything about it was just awkward. The filming was like a teenager doing a home film project, one dimensional shots and close ups at weird angles and whoever edited this, should be fired. The sound is all off, the music too loud and intrusive in scenes where it should be more quiet, like Kim's moans were just cringey and not sexy and one point Kamol slammed his glass down and it didn't even make a noise, like what? There is no character charisma. They're dry like sandpaper. It's like they expect us to know the intricacies of each character from the synopsis. Kamol is a mafia boss so naturally that means he's cold, aloof and violent and then you have the heartbroken normal office worker who's kind and gentle. Obviously. No personality traits either. Sarcastic sub that mouths back, dom has a secret soft side or has a serious sweet tooth. Little things. There was no build-up to their characters, like maybe show us a bit of Kamol in the mafia game, dealing with traitors or people who don't pay a debt. Show us why Kim is heartbroken, what did this other guy do to him? Was he a side piece while the other guy had his heart set on another man? Was he just a fling and for how long? But no, they just just gave us a brief snippet of their characters and then had them meet in a bathroom for a one night stand. There are already so many issues with the BDSM aspect, like why would you pick up a potentially drunk person and immediately go kinky with them? You either go to special clubs /hookup apps for that. Also, a whip, candle and handcuffs? How is that violent? I'm sure "off scene" they would have done something else but come on, he had a few hickeys on him at best and I'm supposed to believe he had a wild awakening to the BDSM lifestyle? Not to mention, there was zero sexual tension and their kisses were wooden and I really thought we were past that point, they don't have to have their tongues in each others mouths to have a better kiss. Also Yoon just does not have the face for this role, I didn't actually have a problem until the bed scene, it's like he was trying waaay too hard to make his face look sadistic but he kinda just looked like he wanted to laugh or something....? On a side note, why for once, can't we have a girl that is with the guy for power and her own business agenda rather than her just being obsessed with an obvious gay guy and wanting to turn him straight so that he'll love her? Just once! I had high hopes and yet I doubt I will continue watching this. I'm past the point where I'll watch just about anything with a BL tag.
This ep was so poignant and emotional....and crazy. Honestly, I was wondering how they were going to give us the Vegas/Pete interaction without it being completely disturbing and they did. It was indeed disturbing. Watching Pete getting beaten like that was hard to watch, although it only ever happened when Vegas was having a hard time, like his struggles and pain took him to another realm and like he almost wasn't aware of his own actions until it was too late. Vegas, for all his psychopathy, is kind of just a small boy looking for his father's approval. We know what he's capable of but in the presence of his overbearing father, he became weak and scared and insecure. That's why what Pete told him about his own past and telling him that it's not their fault, resonated so deeply with him that you could see his eyes moisten and why the next time he was hit it didn't affect him as much and he wasn't angry anymore. Pete, for all his smiles and sometimes goofiness is actually really resourceful and doesn't judge people even though he's been hurt by them and the world, his rough past has made him a protective and loyal friend and good person who can see Vegas' own pain and put it into perspective. It's never the victims fault, it's always someone in power who makes them think that it is. Korn raised his sons with love and firmness and guaranteed success whereas his brother raised his kids to constantly compare themselves like he had to. This ep was great in that it made Vegas seem more human, not just a crazy villain and I think he'll eventually let Pete go and maybe help the major family against his dad to protect Pete, or I'm hoping he will. He could try taking over so that he can have Pete all to himself..... On another note....I'm concerned about Korn's involvement in Porsche/Chay's parents death, and I think it'll tie into why he wanted to hire Porsche....also Kim had better make things right between him and Chay because it's devastating to watch Chay cry....
Well, it is safe to say that I have been traumatized. I thought I had an idea of what the show was like judging from the last 9 eps, but this ep was like nothing I ever thought would happen. Thankfully Kinn is not as much of an idiot like I thought but he really should have clued Porsche in on the fact that he knew Tawan was working for Vegas and to not worry so much about him but....it is what is. Maybe is Kinn hadn't backed Porsche into a corner he wouldn't have run away with Vegas and Big would still be alive. Bigs death will haunt me forever, I have a strong feeling that he loved Kinn, like he knew his place as a bodyguard and never tried anything but you could see that had affection for Kinn. Porchay broke my heart. He's so innocent that it's almost a no-brainer to tell the guy he barely knows that he loves him and Kim wanted to run away but I think knowing he came so close to losing Chay will either make him break Chay's heart to keep him away or keep him and try harder to hide his past. Vegas has once again proven what a huge fucking psychopath he is. He has such a silver tongue that just implores you to trust him, love him, pity him, and then out of nowhere his words turn to poison and within seconds you're done for. Pete is a true friend, trusts Porsche enough that he would risk torture and death to prove his innocence even after their fight. Ken's death was hard to watch, not that he didn't have it coming but the decapitated head was really, really dark and disturbing. I was sickened by Pete's torture scene, I mean, my god, I honestly didn't expect that happen and it was painful to watch. I know this is a series about messed up shit but I truly have no idea if this can ever turn into love (love or slight affection or strong desire at least) but then again I've been surprised before so... Obviously the minor family is going to be the ones they fight in the end since I think it's too late in the series to add any more villains but once again, I really think a second season just might be in the works. Like it'll end on this major cliffhanger with some surprise twist and the major/minor family will have to work together....Pete and Vegas develop a relationship somehow....Porchay and Kim reconcile since I think they'll break up at the end of this....whatever new problems Kinn and Porsche have together....a then the second season ends either with Tankhun taking over, having recovered his marbles, or Vegas finally taking over and Kinn and Porsche retiring to a bar on the beach somewhere.... Truthfully I just hope they end it well, but even if it has like an open ending I know I'll still love it because anything that screw with my head THIS much in an ironically good way, is definitely a keeper.
It's getting a bit weak lately. The KinnPorsche relationship has lost its spark. While I appreciate that we don't…
I'm sorry but were you expecting them to take on the government? A secret syndicate? Yes they have enemies but it's the enemies close to home that you usually have to worry about. The minor family is probably going to be the final boss. Also just because this is a story about ruthless mafia, they can't have silly sides? No fun moments at all in their lives? No one in real life is that serious 24/7. As for you not liking the characters....this series relies on the characters and their different personalities. Kinn is constantly in a rock and hard place with his duty and desire to be free, he does what he needs to do, he doesn't care for finesse. Porsche is not part of that world, he follows orders because he's forced to and he listens to Vegas because Vegas is good at casting doubt in his mind and as opposed to Kinn, hasn't wronged him in any way. Pete is smarter than he lets on, just because he's sweet doesn't mean he's not good at his job. Kim is crafty and yes, a snake but what can you expect from a mafia kid? Porchay is 17 and has no guardian around him so...can he be anything other than naΓ―ve? He's a fricking kid. Vegas and Pete have yet to have their moment and I don't think anyone is having warm feelings in their heart and expect them to fall in love at first sight because we understand that it's not that type of story. It's about bad people, doing bad things. But we like it anyway for how well the actors have done their roles and their dedication in telling a story you don't see that often. Not because we're fricking horny.
My thoughts on this episode ππππππHonestly personally it made so much sense for me. It exceeded…
Said perfectly. Like we know Vegas is manipulating Porsche but that also doesn't mean he's not being truthful with him. You can kinda see that he was being honest when he said the minor family is always doing the dirty work but are suspected when things go wrong. In the same way shitty circumstances have made Kinn who is today, the same can be said for Vegas. Their situations turned them into the men they are, and maybe Kinn isn't as psycho as Vegas but they are both intelligent, cruel, manipulative and would do anything and hurt anyone to get what they want. At the end of the day, they're not that different from each other.
Can we all agree though that Big is definitely the mole
True, he looked panicked when Tawan was back, even interrupting the vote to cast doubt on Tawan...probably voiced his "concerns" back in the day so as to shift the blame...not that Tawan wasn't a lying creep either way.
I will say four things, and only four things. One - Kinn has some SERIOUS groveling to do, because when your most trusted guard and crazy brother believe your boyfriend's innocence and you don't, honey, you got issues and you had better make it up to my baby Porsche. 2 - Tawan is a freaking creep, like he just oozes stalker creepy and if Porsche does not get the honor of putting a bullet in him over the course of this series I will be sooo disappointed. 3 - Vegas is crazy and a psychopath but I kinda can't help empathizing with him. Sure, he's tricking Porsche but I feel like there's a sliver of truth to his words. They do the dirty work while the major family can be passed off as decent businessmen in society and yet they are suspected at every turn when something goes wrong and have to worry about attacks from both sides, enemies and "family". And they could probably do the job just as well as Kinn does 'cos Vegas is obviously smart. 4 - I really wouldn't blame Porsche if he ran away with Vegas, 'cos maybe then Kinn get a wake up call but I feel like he'll stay just to try and prove he's not guilty by running, either way he had better make it extremely hard for Kinn to get him back since he did absolutely nothing to reassure him that their relationship was still good despite Tawan being back (even fucking flirting and reminiscing in front of Porsche....I need to lie down and stew in rage for a bit at what an idiot Kinn is...)
I dont know if Vegas saved Tawan. Somewhere I read he is coming back because his father's business is failing…
Of course, no offence taken :)) I can't wait until either of the couples get more screen time. Right now Kinn and Porsche are dominating the screen (hence the name) but I'd like to see more of the others too, especially as they have their character developments.
I dont know if Vegas saved Tawan. Somewhere I read he is coming back because his father's business is failing…
Vegas saving Tawan thing is more a funny conspiracy theory, I've never read the book nor do I know where to look for it so... Vegas/Pete....can't wait for it either, just saying love is not really in their cards like it is for K.P (obviously just from what I'm watching so far) Kim is using Chay and clearly he feels a bit bad for it (it's not stopping him but he does look guilty) and he did try avoiding Chay before Chay tracked him down to ambush him with a love song, cutie pie who can't really take a hint. I didn't say Kim was annoyed with Chay, in that moment where he saw the pics of him on Chay's wall it was almost like "Ah, so he has a crush on me, he's not just a groupie fanboy" and he acted a bit softer towards Chay, hence indulging him rather than on the road to reciprocation. Yet.
This episode was funny as hell and so cutely domestic, but make no mistake. It's the calm before the storm. This was just to let us know that K.P do love each other and aren't just together through the violence of their situations. But now that Tawan is back (hello anxiety) shit is about to go down. Porsche is definitely going to get jealous and I think that's where Vegas will try to swoop in again. I feel like Vegas might have saved Tawan after Kinn shot him and kept him as pawn for later use and now that he wants Porsche, it's time to use him. Personally I have no idea how Vegas/Pete is going to come into play here, I doubt it will be out of love though. Carnal release definitely but they don't have a falling in love feel that K.P have, plus Vegas is a psychotic villain so.... Kim and Chay are a little weird. Chay is in his own little world with his "celebrity crush" moment and Kim (who I can see is a tad remorseful) is looking to me like he's trying to ghost him, also like he's indulging a kid who has nonsensical crush. Not saying there's not chemistry, there is for sure, but it's just hard to see where romance will come out of this. At least not with just 6 eps remaining....which leads me to believe that there's going to be another season, and why the hell not? It's damn well popular enough. Plus I feel like if there is another season K.P will not be at the center of the story because they will have already completed their love arc....depending on how this series ends of course. There's plenty of time for things to go wrong if nothing else.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course, and I'm not bashing anyone's tastes but personally I feel like people are complaining too much. This series never gave off a false impression that it was going to be Shakespearian level storytelling so if anyone had that expectation then it's only natural you're disappointed. Granted there could have been more plot, but all this talk about how they're preaching equality, how their relationship is toxic, how it would have been better if they'd communicated from the start...well yeah, but then there really would be nothing to watch. Also I didn't watch this for realism, for the example of a perfect relationship or story. I watched it because it's cute and it's a break from how miserable real life can get. Sometimes you just need something to make your heart a little happier and put a smile on your face, that's all.
I am already dreading the day that this series ends...I've waited for it for so long and I don't know when they'll make something as good or interesting or exciting as this again. We've had some really good ones lately, 1,000 Stars, Bad Buddy, Not Me, Cutie Pie, and now this....I sincerely hope that Thailand keeps up the trend of actually giving plot to their BL series, especially with a more mature side to them because it is mostly adults watching them.
