Every week I come here and say that I'm sticking with this show because of my love for EarthMix. I have watched…
"But I really hope GMMTV stops remaking Japanese series."
Well, they chose the top 3 Japanese BLs to adapt, so I hope they've gained some sense of satisfaction from their goal. I'm glad that Earth and Mix were given the opportunity to showcase their CP in an over the top comedy. This adaption didn't quite work for me. So, I am hoping for a different outcome with their upcoming BL.
Talk about 0 to 100. Jued went from crying and not knowing how to kiss to getting banged from the back in one…
That's nothing Teerak aka Rak from the other Thai based college drama "Your Sky" was even more coddled, and sheltered than Jued. He literally went from this delicate, innocent boy who had never kissed anyone to this ultimate toy boy teasing his older boyfriend to ravish him.
I'm still wondering why people are feeling bad for both Jaemin and Soohyun. I think they should try and figure…
Along with the "attractive packaging" of those two characters being portrayed by gorgeous actors, there's the ultimate fantasy/belief/wish that love can "change" someone for the better. Especially in regards to Su Hyeon/Soohyun. All of the "coulda, woulda, shoulda" doesn't change the fact that he willingly went into that pact to keep Da On from being able to move on and away from him and Jaemin.
Even if Seong Hyeon never helped him at the crosswalk nor became Da On's coworker, Da On at that period of his life, would have never chosen to have a romance with Su Hyeon/Soohyun. That's something that the fans of that character have a hard time accepting.
Speaking of which, was that very last scene in the finale meant to signal that Seong hyeon is a red flag all along?…
It also showed the difference in how the "first meeting of Da On" affected Jaemin vs. Seong Hyeon. Jaemin became obsessed to the point of doing anything and everything to keep himself infiltrated in Da On's life. While Seong Hyeon just made sure that Da On was okay, got him medical assistance and moved on with his life. Seong Hyeon didn't make his life's mission out to totally keep Da On under his control like Jaemin and Su Hyeon attempted to do.
Bravo to the director, Yang Kyung Hee, the screenwriter Jung Soo Yoon, and the amazing main cast of Kim Jun Seo, Cha Sun Hyung, Kim Ho Young and Cha Jung Woo.
So the man isn't, at all, being blamed for his own self-destructive and violent behavior? How typical.
Of course, it's never the man (especially when he is a well-known/famous/liked/lusted after personality/performer/athlete/politician) that should be held accountable for his own behavior and actions.
Hopefully, Leng will have a chance to grow and continue to develop his talent within GMMTV's production company. I think that Leng should be cast in supporting roles in their lakorns and BLs for now, until GMMTV feels like they can find another CP he can be paired up with in the future. As for Ohm, I honestly don't know what else he or GMMTV can do. These loons, who profess to be his fans have literally "supported" him from continuing to be a working performer in two different projects scheduled for 2025. Ohm has starred in a TV series and film since 2016.
It amazes me that they truly do not give a rat's ass about their behavior and actions. They are truly horrible.
theres no point of saying all this people are actually weird su hyeon is a dick and thats a fact
They would go "bananas" and have no idea on what their next steps would be to try and "change" him to stop the abusive violent behavior, because they never read about it before in a manwha.
You know, watching how surprised Daon looked when he turned around to walk away & saw Seonghyeon. The shame, surprise…
Da On even described himself to Seong Hyeon as a "user", who will go with anyone that gives him the slightest bit of attention and affection. This is the effect of all the manipulation that Da On has been subjected to by Jaemin AND Su Hyeon. He doesn't want to "taint" Seong Hyeon by letting him be by his side.
Da On thinks that he's not good enough to even allow himself to accept Seong Hyeon's love confession, due to the actions of two others that have professed to have "loved" him for years.
What a wonderful drama. So mature, so anchored in life. First off, Da Seol is a super smart girl. I wasn't ready…
"First off, Da Seol is a super smart girl."
Da Seol is smart, observant, and knows just how much Da On has tried to establish and stabilize his future and career away from their parents. As an outsider, she also could be more objective about Jaemin's actions.
She was able to see and realize that Jaemin's "assistance" was never really helping Da On at all.
It was just making Da On feel like he had to be so grateful, gracious, and open to Jaemin.
"I loved how Seong Hyeon stood up to Su Hyeon in the elevator."
As another outsider, Seong Hyeon has also been able to see just how much Su Hyeon knows that Da On doesn't and will never feel the same way towards him as he used to in the past. Even if Seong Hyeon had no romantic interest in Da On, Su Hyeon would still be anxious and threatened by his presence, because he knows that he's already lost Da On.
That's due to his current behavior. Yes, Jaemin easily manipulated him in the beginning, but it has been Su Hyeon's actions and behaviors that truly ended whatever remaining feelings Da On had for him. Su Hyeon has to accept it.
This could have been a great love story with a cool plot and actors with amazing chemistry. Sadly, the setting…
But in this particular world, all of this behavior is viewed as okay, because the script says that it's okay. Which is something that is constantly repeated in the works of this creator.
"Well, well, let's pray that Boss and Noeul can find a project that isn't written by Mame, that day there will be shooting stars or frogs will start growing hair or whatever weird and strange thing you can imagine."
That can only happen, if and when Boss and Noeul end their contracts with Mame and her production company.
On the mark as always. Sigh, especially the below quote about Po and his "purpose" as the main romantic lead in a series that was supposed to about him falling in love with a younger and famous Thai Pop Idol.
"Ultimately, Po devolves into a pale imitation of one kind of ideal female archetype from the middle of the last century: the Loyal Wife. The Loyal Wife patterns her existence to conform to the shape of her man's public persona. Her devotion to him supercedes her own personality. Her support of his career supercedes any professional ambution she may have. Society values her chiefly as caretaker to the children (here, the band)."
The romance was so stretched out between Po and Thame, along with having Jun behaving as a possible love rival, but in the end, Jun was just being obnoxious. Why couldn't Jun have been written as also having a crush on Po? That would have helped showcase just how isolated these Asian pop artists are made to exist within their industry.
The thing that GMMTV did get right was showcasing just how toxic and selfish the industry AND certain fans are regarding the pressures these arists are put under to appease everyone.
That one scene of those fans elation, glee, and happiness that Pepper ended his romantic relationship with the woman that he loved bothered me so much.

Especially if all that they know about sex and sexual intimacy is only from the stories they read.
