A disarmingly charming bit of Korean BL fluff. Well done in every way from start to finish, even if it was on the short side. Loved the swap back at sunset on the beach with true love's kiss. Perfect.

The word I would use to desccribe this series is enchanting. It may have disappointed many viewers, but I'm not one of them. We first saw Peak and Pearl in 'Love in the Moonlight ', where their love for each other managed to endure despite a multitude of restrictions and setbacks. They again proved their onscreen chemistry was worth repeating here in 'Flower Boy', where they were perfectly cast. Set in the mountains of Thailand, Gaysorn is a young man who is a member of the Mudin, a secret tribe that shuns the modern world because of the fragrant scent their bodies exude - in the case of males, when they're in love. Gaysorn leaves his mountain paradise in search of what happened to his mother in Bangkok, where he meets Scent, the son of the owner of a perfume company and they fall in love. The mystery of where the mother is and if she's alive or dead takes up most of the plot, during which time Gaysorn and Scent have parted ways. Nevertheless, as with most BL dramas, events conspire to bring them together again for a happy ending. This one was gentle, set in a field of flowers and was most affecting. The cinematography was particularly beautiful, with a rich tapestry of colour. Everyone played their part very well. I can't help but note that Peak, who played Gaysorn, has been in the BL industry for ten years now. His first appearance in the series 'Make it Right' set his career in motion, and it has been a varied one. Being partnered with Pearl, it's like he's on a second wind, and it's a credit to him that he has aged so well and continues to grace our screen with great performances in the two series he's done with Pearl. May they continue to do so.

It's definitely worth watching. I just binge watched it over four days and it goes from light to dark about three times until everything sorts itself out. The performances are outstanding and I love the contrast between the two brothers and their respective lovers. There's a lot of kissing. In the end, it's always about family, supporting each other and trying to find true happiness, and they do. The younger brother reaches it first and easily; with the older brother, it's far more complicated, and it is that story which the drama concentrates on. All these themes are fully explored, making it a most rewarding experience by the time one has reached the end.

It's light, entertaining, Nagi is quite adorable and it bubbles along till the very end. In a word, delightful. You won't find it on Kissasian, but it is on Boys Love Factory. Catch it if you can.

I'm so behind watching series (Elvanar is to blame), and I've now caught up with this major one from One31 and GMMTV that returns to the tried and true formula for all great BL shows, a messy and at times intense romantic drama with three main couples and lots of welcome cameos in the latter episodes from main characters in the first series. Normally, I'd watch this in weekly instalments, but this time I saw it over a period of six days and that makes the viewing experience more powerful. It is always the indiscretion, no matter how minor or even if what was seen is taken out of context, that causes such incredible drama and usually takes a while to resolve. On these shows, they occur frequently. Indeed, without them, the shows would be over in half the time. In this one, I found it all very engrossing, with no boring moments, and each episode sped by, a testament to the talent of the writers, actors, and the director, who all did a sterling job.

Fortunately, I didn't let the terrible reviews and negative comments put me off watching this because it wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was pretty good and adheres to Miss Prism's tidy little moral formula that the virtuous are rewarded and the wicked are punished when she says, “The good ended happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what Fiction means.” That is exactly what happened here. Venus and Pakai, who struggle, suffer, and try to do the right thing, finally get their emotional payoff, and the scheming aunt — manipulative, controlling, and the architect of everyone else’s misery — ends up destroying herself. The twists and turns towards the end certainly pulled the story to a happy ending, especially for the strong and handsome Pakai, whose hard and miserable life before he connected with Venus could not have been more deserving: he gets to marry Venus, who is the executive director of a hotel chain — no more rural hardship and bad cooking from his aunt for him. All moral considerations aside, I enjoyed this.

Grooming? Predatory nature? Stuff and nonsense! Akira and Kanda were thrown together and each knew he was gay, which led to their physical relationship. The slight difference in years between them is, in my estimation, nothing to condemn or worry about; to say otherwise is absurd (which many of the comments below suggest). As Akira said, it wasn't love, it was more mutual comfort, and as his feelings for Kanata grew, he knew when it was time to let Kanda go and devote himself Kanata, who had fallen for him as much he had fallen for Kanata, and Kanda supported that, to his credit; they just needed to say it out loud, and that's where the girls came in, giving them individual support to be their true selves and to properly express their love for each other (though the kiss at the end could have been so much better). It took the entire series to get this far; an extra episode showing them happy together as boyfriends with the support of their friends would have rounded it off nicely.

Going from Peach Lover, which I just finised watching yesterday, to this, shows the extremes of the Boy Love experience - full on romantic love versus puppy love. This is cute, there's a lot of introspection and hesitancy, will they or won't they make the confession to each other and when they do, how secretive should it be (turns out, very little), and goes no further than holding hands. It ends up in the air at Ep. 6, but apparently there are two more episodes to go.

Soft, fluffy, a bit emotional and rather sentimental at times, but overall it was an enjoyable, easy to watch series, with a good cast featuring familiar actors and a lot of well-behaved cats. Passes the time very nicely.

This special was needed mainly for one small but major plot wrap-up: the necessary, sudden and brutal demise of Ken by a masked assailant. The rest was all window dressing and the usual eternal love vows from the main characters, all bathed in vivid colours and idyllic settings, whether in the hotel or at the beach. An excellent series on the whole, with a lot going for it.

Yes, it's a romcom, but it's not fluffy. The relationships and the psychological portraits go deeper than that and the characters are fully fleshed out. It's what makes this drama more absorbing than usual, as a lot of thought has gone into it. Of course it will have the standard happy ending, but what has set this apart is the lack of melodrama, which is a blessing, replaced with the ups and downs of two couples gradually sorting things out after a very shaky beginning based on fraud, to the development of true love.

Interesting little series, well acted with good production values. I agree there definitely needs to be a follow-up series as the ending leaves one wanting some sort of resolution to the unrequited love of the younger brother and the older brother beginning to realise that maybe there could be more to their relationship than just being brothers, though I may be stretching that a bit. But you never know, if the story continues, how it will end up.

After a long drought of regular, high‑quality Korean BL drama dominated by low‑budget mini‑series, Always Meet Again finally delivers a full series that’s engaging from start to finish. The two leads had a natural chemistry and were both most attractive and had great smiles, the background score was inventive and added to the atmosphere, the cinematography was quite beautiful at times and though the story was a bit far-fetched (going back to fix the past is not uncommon in BL world), I found this easy to follow and on the whole, quite enjoyable.

That Ken wasn't killed or will spend the rest of his life in prison for all the dreadful things he did was the most disappointing aspect of this show. Is there going to be a special episode where we see him finally getting his comeuppance?

There's very little to this. The dubbing with American voices is very mechanical and unnatural. In a way, the story is incomplete. Barely worth watching.

I've watched Addicted twice, the first time in 2018 when everyone was raving about it and it was available complete and uncensored on YouTube; the second time was a year or so ago and to my horror, I discovered that whatever website it was on, it was censored. Goodness knows why. That's the first I've heard about eps. 16 to 18 being released online. Indeed, I thought they had never seen the light of day. Could you please tell me where these elusive episodes can be seen, the links for them and if they contain EngSubs? Much appreciated.

Even though he's not the most endearing figure - far from it - Touma's dad certainly livens things up.

A mediocre series with a very good final episode.

This is unusual as it is basically plotless and more an exercise in the examination of sex and sensuality. The two leads make it worthwhile only due to their attractiveness and acting ability. The sound effects and lovely score enhance the production. All these factors redeem an otherwise slow and uninspired story that takes some effort to watch from beginning to end, as one hopes for something a little more than what is offered.

I began watching this yesterday and really enjoyed it, then suddenly everything changes in Ep. 2 and Kelvin goes from being put upon and accepting his subservient position by his toxic older brother Ken to a controlling psychopath. The change is even more startling because Vier was trying to help Kelvin realise his dream. Moving back and forth in time, a common feature of these dramas, may give us some background but trying to put it all together is still difficult.
