On Venus in the Sky Oct 1, 2023
The only word I can come up with to describe this show is pedestrian. Very little happens from episode to episode. At least Venus isn't entirely indifferent to Sky's overtures now and seems to be slowly falling for him. The other characters barely register with me or I just find them dull.

It's definitely getting better and better. A cross between a romcom and a sitcom with a gay vibe, the two stars have developed great chemistry together in a fast-paced, slightly goofy soon-to-be office romance. I'm really enjoying this and when it's over, I'll consider watching all episodes back to back sometime in the future.

Another great episode in a superb series. I can understand the excitement and rush of love Khun Yai feels for Jom and the ever present danger that accompanies their moments of intimacy and unbridled passion. Their dancing scene that pivoted from reality in the garden to fantasy in the ballroom which ended with everyone applauding them then back again to the garden and their impassioned kiss was a beautiful cinematic stroke of genius. The music for the soundtrack captures the various moods to a tee. Talking of music, the string quartet at the party rates a special mention, first playing a little Mozart and then what accompanied Khun Yai dancing with the young lady he knew as a child - Nimrod from the Enigma Variations by Elgar - surely the first time it's been played as a transcription for string quartet and definitely as music for the dance. So much thought and care has gone into the making of this series. Kudos to everyone involved.

Watching Sky for most of the episode pursuing Venus and barely making any progress since he began that at the beginning of the series is becoming rather tedious. The other characters don't really add much to what's happening either. The episodes are far too long when there is so little of interest going on and the dialogue is basically trite.

I am surprised that i am watching it,it's fun watch actually, you can turn of your brain and just watch the entire…
Really, it's not much fun at all, just Sky relentlessly pursuing Venus and barely getting anywhere. The other characters don't add much to it either.

Ep. 6 was just as interminably long and tedious as Ep. 5. Indeed, it was so soporific I fell asleep before it finished and had to rewind it to see if Mhok was finally able to penetrate Phat's heart to make him love him, which of course, somehow he did, however, it didn't even end with a kiss. This series as a whole is losing its appeal, so much so that I downgraded my score from 8 to 7.

With Phumjai and Yang, it went from misery to ecstasy, but for his brother Phojai, he went from concern for Phumjai to having Tag break up with him; so sad, but he brought it on himself as he wanted to keep their relationship secret. I think we have to thank Tammy for making Yang see the light and confess in so many words his love for Phumjai. Hopefully, Phojai will see the light sooner rather than later.

This series could be described as compellingly awful and Ep. 5 was even worse than the previous one. As for the odious youngest brother Thian, his voice dubbing is excruciating and irritating. Otherwise, apart from Luv returning to his butler duties, the plot (if you can call it that) didn't advance much except for the final moment when Chan at Thian's direction appeared to knock Luv out with a cloth covered in chloroform for some reason. Thank goodness it finishes next week.

There's a lot of explaining to do. I gather Kon Diao's dad is hoping that when his son marries Hia Yi, it will come with a big inheritance but Kon Diao appears to be estranged from the rest of his family and the father has it in for Hia Yi, though why I don't know. Did the father have Kon Diao's car tampered with which Hia Yi inadvertantly drove? If so, why would he want to kill his own son? I realise finding that out is the reason Hia Yi is pretending to still have amnesia and his assistant Aon is helping with that, but is Aon secretly a 'double agent' as it were? Then there's the incident with the tiger when they were both children and it appears they were both there but I think Kon Diao doesn't remember he was there with Hia Yi but after Kon Diao talked about it, it triggered a panic attack with Hia Yi. It could all be somehow connected but I don't know. I'm just perplexed at how this part of the storyline is developing and how it fits together. It all needs to be cleared up.

If the writers are as brave as they claim to be, they should make Sand and Nick the endgame.
Frankly, I don't see Sand and Nick getting it together as boyfriends. They are just platonic flatmates. In the preview for the next episode, it seems that Ray is finally going to get his chance with Mew, though I doubt it will last and he could very well return to Sand while Mew will return to Top. As for Nick, I think Boston was developing real feelings for him. Nick is head over heels in love/lust with Boston and is devastated with the sudden breakup. Boston, the unrepentant playboy, is responsible for earning the ire of both Top and Mew and causing them to break up and allowing Mew to respond positively to Ray's overtures of love. Boston is now on the outer with nearly everyone, therefore, it will take time, but I think he and Nick could get back together again and I sincerely hope they do.

The words I think that best describes this series are puerile and crass, on top of which the dubbed voices are execrable, made worse so that it is often difficult to tell when characters are speaking or hearing their thoughts out loud which are usually given a different acoustic, but not here. Lee and Frank, the two ML who were previously in Love Syndrome III, should be frankly embarrassed to appear in this tripe. By the end of Ep, 4 the situations characters find themselves in are becoming more contrived and ridiculous, bordering on stupidity. Finally, there's the introduction of a fourth rich brother, a familiar character actor from other series whose appearance here borders on the grotesque. The only redeeming feature is that there are just two more episodes.

I'm more than happy with this special wedding episode. It completed the series well and brought everyone together in a beautiful setting for the nuptials. Everyone should be so lucky to have a wedding like this.

I thought Ep. 5 was boring and uninteresting. Hopefully, its conclusion will be less so.

Ep. 3 was interminable and much of it was unmitigated drivel. The opening sequence in the cinema which continued the ghost theme when Venus and Sky arrived home was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. I find Venus (an inappropriate name for a boy as she is the goddess of love) objectionable most of the time. He and Sky have almost zero chemistry. The question is, can I endure seven more one hour episodes of this stuff?

This is as bubbly as the finest French champagne; part 2/4 was especially brilliant - the combination of the razor-sharp script, acting, music and sound effects turned it into a comedic masterpiece. It is indeed the sparkliest diamond of all BL series that have aired so far this year, bar none. (Upgraded it to 9/10 as well.)

With a group of friends like these, finding and retaining love, even defining it, is an extremely messy business, particularly when they comment and interfere with each other. It makes being single look like a wise choice.
