Honestly..............the skelly look might be ok for women as far as how they think they should look and standards for beauty and all but for the most part? That era died years ago and I see no need to return to it. Can't speak for all of course but most men don't find that appealing either~ Does bring something else to mind. I'm not as bothered with the 'skinny' look as I am now with the 'plastic' look. PMY has had hers for awhile now but more and more are getting their faces done. I'm legit asking why? I don't get it. Is this another part of the beauty standards they feel they need to do or what? I used to not be able to tell when face works been done. Impossible to ignore now. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
'Hypocrisy through empowerment' point is just patriarchy repackaged- it's basically the pure perfect victim rhetoric.…
I do think rape is worse than murder too because a high % of the victims are left alive and the experience can be..............experienced over and over and over at any given time for the rest of that person's to life. Couple that with how cheap and broken punishments are when a monster is finally put away. They can be out in just a few years while victims, again, can relive it repeatedly. That's not a life anymore, it's a neverending nightmare~ Vincenzo........I loved it. Absolutely loved that drama. It's a masterpiece for me personally. While viewing that drama, most ppl did NOT question his actions to much just like FL didn't when she had been pushed too far. Those that did bring it up were actually slammed by the rest of the community who deemed everything was justified. But everything he did in SK was what he was doing before entering the country and for lesser reasons which most ppl did not account for when praising his character~
Vincenzo was evil and his soul was black. A monster. I thought he was still darker than gray when the drama ended. The only reason ppl cheered him on and said he was an ok dude is the same and only reason I could elevate him from a black evil monster to one that was darker than gray. The retaliations for some of the buildings residents and the takedown of the villain. But even than, it was for HIS benefit, everything he did was for the sole purpose of getting to that gold. I was laughing at the end. I mean, he flat out used and abused every resident and then some for what he needed and those characters cheered him on for it much like the users in the community did when defending and justifying his actions. It was great!! Hope that makes sense, I don't always have the words to keep an explanation of thoughts simple and sweet~
Whew...........rough start. Not impressed at all. I think the word cliche is an understatement for what's transpired so far. But it's not fair to dine and dash on just one ep~ ML has put in the time, so I don't begrudge him this starting role. I think this is his 1st or am I mistaken? Either way, this will not do any of the leads here any favors unless the writing takes a monumental leap forward in quality and it's gotta be fast. This is only 8 eps. Let's see what #2 brings~
Ok.......Read comments for a good hr before deciding to watch and this forums seems to be at each other's throats a tad bit more then usual. I've a pair of girls 12 and 10 and abhor any and all violence towards women and children. The only thing worse than pedos and rapists are murderers and the law is too easy to exploit and find loopholes that mitigate the harsh sentences these sick fks deserve. It's a joke. It's the reason why nothing changes and why #'s climb year by year~ My stance on these particular crimes..........Rapists shouldn't be given a chance to do it again. Castration, via chemical or physical, would definitely send the proper message along with a fat chunk of prison time spent being a toy to play with. 15 yrs or so. Those who say it's barbaric? Kindly F off.๐๐ Pedo rapists and molesters? Obviously worse. Castration and longer jail time. Murderers? That's easy. Take a life, lose your own. Period~
I also see how ppl are raging over cheaters vs rapists and stuff like that. I mean, we all KNOW what's worse. It doesn't need to be said. I wonder if that's why comments tend to poke at the cheating aspect more frequently as if to to say it's not as horrible as rape but its still bad on a personal and moral level. But sorry folks lol, cheating isn't against the law. You can talk about it all you want but it is what it is. Maybe I'm biased as a father of 2 girls but to those who think it's worse than rape? Excuse my language but y'all are F'ng crazy. Respectfully said though~ Ty for the rundown of the dramas inner workings. I will pass. It would just make me rage. Hypocrisy through empowerment is what I saw mentioned a lot too. That was a refreshing take that's going to stick with me for awhile. It made me think. The rest of y'all, enjoy the show and cya later~
How did you somehow miss when he said at the end that he's going to be atoning for his past sins in this life?…
That may be the case but that's a separate stand alone issue and the fact remains that he should have recused this specific individual case he was personally involved in since anyone can go and say his personal feelings influenced his sentencing. Guarantee IRL they would appeal and they would win hands down.
I'm not totally sure how the law applies to this but in general that's something everyone knows. The same thing applies to trials by jury. Most law dramas I've seen, including Korean, point this out when writing instants that have this within their works. The last drama I can personally recall this happening offhand was Juvenile Justice and this was the very topic the drama was all about. Check it out if you haven't seen.
Definitely not worthy of a second run. And the justice so vaunted by the righteous words of the ML was still broken by the fact that he, who was involved in almost every aspect of the case from start to finish, shouldn't have been anywhere near that presiding seat at the end and should have recused his position. This drama was a sub par at best. I stuck around only for our ML~
Whew........ "Considering the meticulous planning of the murder prior to the incident and the intentional abandonment of the victim in what was clearly a life threatening situation, the defendant must be punished according to the severity of her crimes. The defendant is sentenced to ten years in prison." .............are you f'n kidding me?!?! ๐งWOW. I know this is a drama and all but considering the current events going on in the world and the wording used beforehand prior to reading the sentence and the fact that it was a woman who died, the punishment got me all pissed off lol. ๐คฌ๐คฌ
2 eps in, I thought of Celebrity as the first drama that comes to mind but it's not. Around 18:20 in episode 2. Who was the guy that was one of the attendants and was the last person FL told to clear the room? Looked so familiar............Someone get back to me on that plz? Moving on~
More or less content with everything that's transpired. Id like to see some dramas with girls vying for the guy though, maybe 1 out of 5 we see that. Baby blowing the fan on ML had me snickering and the wife laughing. ๐
Two dramas have come to mind. A Killers Paradox was first but I dismissed it shortly because although he was killing the worst of the worst, it was still random and not exactly by choice. It's technically still vigilantism here. But next was an easy pick. Trolley I think it's called. Remains to be seen as to where the writers will go with this but it feels like a heavy portion of the remaining drama will be moral heavy from here on out?
