Hmm.....Mouse anyone? That was just a piece though, that's what made the drama believable and believable makes for a good story~ SK writers have a couple talents that are virtually unmatched when compared to the rest. A small supernatural touch here, a sliver of fantasy there, a shred of mysticism etc........they can take something along these lines and spin a masterclass story around it with such skill to where you can picture and believe it could happen IRL. Or that it's actually happening now and the drama is pulling back the veil to show you. They're special~
(Excuse my language) This shite right here is downright f'n impossible and completely unbelievable even for a Kdrama. Yes I know its fiction. Yes I know we have to allow for some leeway at times but this is ridiculous. You wanna take that brain and become the next RoboCop. Sure, I could see it happen. I can picture its possible. You wanna toss your brain into the incinerator and put the other one into a shell that was just vacated? GTFO. You've gotta be able to at least ground something small in reality to have a small element of belief from the viewer~ My wife is a cardiologist and surgeon who loves to destroy and rip medical dramas. Most of them do. Why? She says when it's not factually correct, doctors think your insulting their profession. That you don't respect their individual field of practice enough to get things right. She's not a neurosurgeon but she says a number of factors still apply and it's impossible. So there's no story you could ever tell to make believe otherwise~ 10 minutes in and I was already thinking wtf. Run away chat......Run away as far as you can........... she's gonna try again later, I'm a no go for now unless she and/or the feedback here later can pull me back~
It's a drama with ghosts.....Exactly how much IRL by the book proper sense were you expecting to see when it's…
Ohhhh.........you're feeling like ๐คจya? Oof, dun even get me started medical scenes and dramas. My wife is a cardiologist and surgeon. We watch Kdramas, it's like.....one of our things ya know? It's actually how we met, outside of work I mean. She was my doctor. ๐ We watch them whenever we can. Med dramas she RIPS them apart. She HATES the inaccuracies in them. There was a couple in our early days that were so bad I banned her from the bedroom. No lie. Not anymore of course, used to it. So I DO understand what your saying. ๐ Idk though, when I first got started, I use to ask questions too. Things didn't make sense. Things didn't add up. Logic is and was thrown out the window. But as a newbie, ppl kind of just shot me down when I pointed things out. Was told Kdrama logic has its own universe and is in a class of its own. Deal with it. You're correct, you can't throw all the rules of logic and science completely out. If a writers does decides to go with shenanigans and whatnot throughout portions or the entirety of the drama, it has to be established early. That way they don't have to explain anything. I think that's the route this dramas going to take and the ghostly theme is what they're using or going to use to get away with it. That make any sense?
I've watched and learned a lot since then and I've also got a wife that gives different takes and interpretations when we don't agree and that's a huge plus. If a piece is so broken near the end w/o having done these little ground rules and all, I now know what the issue is and what to call it. Bad Writing~๐ This is 16 eps ya? Whew. Netflix does like to have these long ones. l wonder if COVID has anything to do with it? World was on lockdown for a loooong time and 16 was the norm. You see they been going away from it lately. And I am rambling and I am sorry but ya lol. I think Ghost theme is going to be used to justify doing w/e they want w/ no fallout. Smart move actually~
Ahhh......... remember now, you flat out said you didn't like FL at all in Witch when we were watching Our Universe.…
Whew.....ok. Every piece listed before the Defects I didn't like and/or dropped. I think a lot of folks were curious about that drama though for the reason you said. It wasn't good but I finished it just for that 'bad peeps got what they deserved' satisfaction~Witch I kinda liked because of the....how do I put it.......mystic weirdness that was its theme. Was it great? Not really. But compared to Crushology? That trash was so bad it made Witch look like masterpiece. The cringe......๐๐ I have theory though......I think we all reach a point where we feel like we've seen everything. When we get there, I've noticed that ppl, myself included, tend to be harsh on new dramas that fit categories we think we've seen a million times. The more we watch, the meaner we get. That's not really fair I know.....but it's tough, I think we're just hungry for new things and that's why we slam the new stuff. S-Line was unique and fit that category for me. ML hadn't been seen in anything for awhile and I like him a lot. Those reasons were why I watched it, I found different but ya, it was mediocre~ Twelve....... ๐ฃ. There was too many stars and supporting cast members to turn away from it. Couldn't help it. Yes, it was bad~ Confidence Queen......I remember that was where ppl started pointing out how.......ehh.....let's say slender, she was getting. It was ok but all the 10's it was getting was completely beyond me. Was like you, why was it a 10? ๐คจ Cuz it wasn't. I challked it up to her super fans~ Would You Marry Me?.......For rom coms, you don't get much more vanilla then that~ Never saw Burning Hearts~ Dr Shin. HELL no. Synopsis and first 5 minutes was enough for me to run away screaming. Oh! There's not one single actor in its cast I want to see~ Pearl in Red, thats like a daily soap opera ya? Don't watch those period~ Genie........got me there. I liked it. Suzy's character was a mix of Wednesday Addams and SeoYeaJi's KMY from the drama It's ok to not be ok (IOTNBO). That drama is up high on my personal favs and I adore SYJ. She's like one of my queens ๐and I miss her. Canceled over some bs ๐คฌ๐ค. Anyways....๐ฎโ๐จ watching those 2 personas come to life on Genie? I was done, I wasn't going anywhere and binged it immediately~ Unwritten Seoul was ok for me. PBY I like alot too. That's who I was there for, this dude being in it was just an added bonus
Said two eps per case ya? Is it just those or are they going to be slowly fighting to take down a villain or a villanous corporation throughout the entirety of the drama? I get the feeling that it's going to be the latter because of that dude FL works for. Then we'll see the team up~
Really have to throw away lot of common sense because court proceedings made absolutely no sense.
It's a drama with ghosts.....Exactly how much IRL by the book proper sense were you expecting to see when it's got a supernatural twist attached to it?
I really like this drama. Ep 1 was so - so bc ... that chick is sooo unfit for him... too shallow and immature...…
Ahhh......... remember now, you flat out said you didn't like FL at all in Witch when we were watching Our Universe. Right now, ML is and was pining away hardcore the way he was Witch. If we weren't being deceived by the preview, he's about to start up the same behavior again~ How can you say Witch was bad script and filming and FL when you had no patience to watch it? That was his character through out the entirety of that drama, so I gotta disagree with your assessment of Witch. He was pretty good in Unwritten Seoul, his character was sooo gloomy and constantly brooding. It's why he's able to pull off the aura of a bleeding heart so well๐ But Crushology 101 script was waaaaaay worse than Witch as was FLs performances in those 2 pieces. That one I almost did drop. ML was in Devil Judge though. That was pretty good I thought. Something something Psychometric, can't remember full title. He stars in that one too but that one was kinda......not the greatest? But yea, he's been around for abit of time now and I like him a lot. Extremely versatile~
Hey chat, what are the odds of this being a tear jerker? ๐ Anyways.........Euna had a pair of dialogues and one monologue that slowly started to ring some alarm bells ep4. "You quit your job" "Managed your own guesthouse but was shutdown" "I had to leave in a hurry" etc...... When SC caught up to her later, red flags started to fly as well. 3 full eps of him basically leering at her during her teen years whenever he saw her. He was creepin on her hardcore. Made sure she was training in places that would make it difficult to meet with TS. Narced on TS spending time with Euna. Followed her so she couldn't talk to TS outside of the hotel. "We had a thing but it didn't work out". He chased her back to the hometown. The way he grabbed her when she was trying to leave. Repeated calls after trying to chase her down again. What is the age difference between them? Was he trying to groom her or something? I swear.......the dude is straight up suspect~ I've seen enough to know I'm not going to drop this. Let's see what we get next week~
Ooof ๐ซค...........with the situation they had, it was inevitable~ I didn't have to much of a problem with the words she used. I figured it was to put emphasis on how young and immature they still were despite being out in the world as adults. Everything they were experiencing was a first.
I mean..........you know the actors and production crews are reading what we say and are not feeling too good. I understand and it sucks, they're ppl too ya know? ๐ฎโ๐จ But this was awful. ๐
