She could have sued at first when they only offered an observer post (and made her start training from scratch when she was already qualified.) before all the 'mistakes' that happened.

Seriously you seem to think everyone is critizing you and just attacking when in fact they were just stating that there are no requirements. Your original post absolutely did not say that it was because it didn't match the character, plus you also responded (quite sneeringly) that one person couldn't possibly know any short pilots. Which further brought more comments stating facts about the requirements. People may not have known as the regulations vary so that is why many said that, in case you (and others) have different regulations in their country. I only saw one post that you just nicely said it was due to character, many of the rest you seem to be responding very negatively (I'm saying this as politely as i can). The thing is we are not attacking you just responding with our viewpoint (based on our original post), ---you posted your opinion, we posted ours, that's how it works. You may want to try to reign in your responses to be a little less negative over such a simple discussion including calling others names. No one did that to you. Many of us probably agree that keeping the character as close to the authors original intent is good, but it is what it is. Anyway a contrary opinion by others does not equate to attacking you regardless of what some think. And seriously most people aren't that vested in character height unless it's critical to the story so the only reason you got such responses was mostly because for some reason you think everyone is having a meltdown about it. Anyway I've wasted enough time trying to explain why as you seem to just want to take it as a negative and I'm sure i won't change your mind. So Tata, I'm off to watch some dramas. Hope you have a nice weekend and Happy New Year.

My point was that you didn't say it was due to the character description in your original post (which is why people responded the way they did). Shrug whatever, i imagine you are going to be disappointed a lot watching most shows that are adaptations. Anyway, i don't care much, as long as the story is good, whether it is faithful or not.

Uh, I'm not being defensive 🙄 and I don't have to justify anything. You said they should've cast a taller actress (no reference to why you think that .. only after people pointed out the no height requirement did you say anything regarding the chatacter height). Anyway, I just pointed out (facts) - there is no height requirement for pilots in China regardless of what you appear to think (based on some of your responses).. I didn't address whether the character in the novel is tall as i didn't read the story. Anyway it's neither here nor there, she was cast so no chnging it now. Also - i am not a "defensive fan" as i don't care who is the actress as long as the story is acted well.
they should've cast a taller actress for the role of cheng xiao.
Aside from the story description of the character ... In 2017ish the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) removed the requirement that pilots be at least 165 cm (5 ft. 5 in.) tall and have legs no shorter than 74 cm. The average height of Chinese men is 172 cm. For women, it is 160 cm. (Got rid of it probably due to pilot shortages there.) ..and many female actresses are short because they like to have that golden ratio of taller men than women and on avg they are short although the heights are climbing due to better nutrition..
Someone had already published story regarding ML. The story was wrongly portraying him as having killed someone.…
Chae Ri is the one who told her to think as a PD and the one who brought the crew. She knows she needs to ask him to reduce the risk of getting sued. (Esp in SK). Plus in SK only certain parties can bring suit in court.. The fact is in some countries the public won't let things go and never let him have peace (at least for a long time). It can even affect employability. So his career would be at risk. Also, He is suffering enough without people calling him a murderer feeding into his already grief stricken feelings. It is difficult but sometimes in order to help someone you have to be the hard one. He obviously tends to try to escape from his pain - to allow the public opinion to gain traction it would just be a bonfire. As for her, yea, she drives me insane with her wishy washy behavior. Even in this she needs to be told to step up. ugh. And I'm guessing she's supposed to be a strong female PD but to me she's like a lot of people just doing what we're told to keep our jobs. Which leads to leaning on the friend who has been there for so long when she was between a rock and a hard place. It is technically a show so nothing really had to go on... except she keeps stomping on his heart so he seems to be getting tired of it. Altough he had years to make his feeling known to her so they are both too afraid to lose each other to move forward.

If you rememder the PDs had a discussion on how he wouldn't understand that he would continue to be dragged if it wasn't made totally clear to the public. No grey area. The head PD told her to think of him in the lens of some who knows how toxic the public can be. And not think just as a friend, in other words she needed to step up to protect him because he wouldn't understand the toxicity they deal with every day. So in this sense she believed she was doing what was best for him.
Just read it. That was horrible... I feel really sorry for both...But a person is innocent until proven guilty…
She has to give some consideration on how her YT channel would be bombarded and also for such a strong subject. These days it can be easy to get demonetized since YT lost it's mind. It's also possible that she just isn't sure of guilt or innocence so she'll withhold judgement.
LMFAO. I am sorry what was that whole first half of that episode? It's like they just got a bunch of foreign girls,…
I think they were in another country attending the wedding. The girls were the friends and bridesmaids of the bride (who appears to be not Chinese, the husband is Chinese and the guys looked like the groomsman. Thats the "reason" for all the foreign women. Also note that just because they were paired up with them that none appeared to really be interested in them. (And of course the blonde girl that slipped her card in his pocket well she needs to buy a clue and learn to read the guy (he was so not interested) and she appeared rather hmm rather fast).
