Chrohns just like many other diseases have a range of severity. Those who are objecting may not have gone through multiple surgeries etc that others have and are shown in the show. It can be very painful disease. The show of course was a worse case scenario. It is dibilitating, can even cost your job as you try to 'manage it', and people think it's disgusting (because of human waste). While she does get thin he loves he when she was "fat". So that part is good like to him it didn't matter. But the nickname he gave her just sucks. They call her Fat Su (Pàng Su). Ugh, and she didn't even blink an eye.
