On Had I Not Seen the Sun Part 2 Dec 17, 2025
Heartbreaking. I have no other word to describe this. Even more so when you think of how many girls and women are violated the same way and do not have a Li Jen Yao on their side. Or how many kids go through what Yun Chen and Li Jen Yao did without a Hsiao Tung on their side. Nevertheless, I will not be watching anything like this ever again, 10/10

So if I am understanding this right, Hsiao Tung developed Dissociative Identity Disorder and Chi-Chi, who she often sees as an “other”, is one of the identities, as well as Pin Yu and Tian Qing? And for a while, Tian Qing is the dominant personality until later where it’s Pin Yu, seeing herself with a different face (Joy) whereas the world sees the Tian Qing face? Hence the breakdown earlier with the split mirror scene??

Forgive me for the questions 😂😭 I normally watch straightforward romcoms

I absolutely loved this drama! I am usually one for an intense love story but I love how in this one, the romance was so subtle until the last two episodes and did not drown out their mental health journeys. The overarching plot with La Saveur was also done so well.

I especially loved Irene’s journey, for a short series, the supporting characters were well developed and lovely. Why did Song Joongki show up at the end though lol? And who was that Andy guy?

Human animals and non human animals? seriously?? you can definitely see the trashy Netflix, western influence…
Scientifically, humans are animals, socially, we treat ourselves as a different group, that was the point.

pro-abortion? really?
The arguing point at the end of episode 3 is not about being pro-abortion but rather highlights how “pro-life” groups are simply anti reproductive rights and do not care for the so called life post birth because if they refused an abortion simply because his life is equal and valuable, why not care for it once it’s in the world? This is true for all pro-lifers, it’s not about caring for the life, but simply controlling the mother’s choices

Abortions are allowed by law in Korea. This is a law drama with pro bono lawyers, who obviously go by the law,…
Abortion is not killing “babies” you dimwit.

To fight to abort a poor disabled child is honestly high key triggering and not really a comedy. I get if people…
But it was handled properly and not as a comedic plot. A comedy can have serious parts as a tragedy can have humour. And like Pmod718 said, the types of cases pro Bono teams deal with are bound to be heavy, even the case with the dog was sad

no, from what I got the main girl we see at the start is hsaio tung but she’s basically got multiple personalities…
Oh thank you so much, I was so confused. That explains why she’s so drawn to Li Jen Yao and is so close with Shen Mu

Can someone confirm for me if Hsiao Tung actually died by suicide? It was spoken of earlier during the interviews but once the flashback series started, we didn’t really see how she ended up after reading those comments. Did I miss something?
