What a fun and sweet episode! It was hilarious watching Wine and Lal check each other out during the games. Their company outing t-shirt was particularly funny.

Props to Lal for finding the courage and confess to catching feelings. She's so ready to 'upgrade' their FWB subscription!

And I appreciate the careful pacing of Lal and Wine’s relationship, unlike Tangkwa and Proud’s development, which escalated from zero to a hundred in just one episode!

I love it when the angst hurts so good! Heo Nam Jun, what an actor. “I can’t think straight for even a moment thanks to you” say it to meeee!!! He acts so internally, with feelings bubbling on the surface. And classic Segye is like just forget about all the other bastards and use me instead like wow. My type of man. I love the “use me” trope from an ML. It hits the spot every time! Second kisses in dramas are usually whatever but this almost tops the wrist kiss for me. This show is still batting 10s and we’re almost to the finish line.

Okay wow I'm genuinely surprised by how fast-paced the plot is, usually shows take like 5 episodes to uncover the slush fund hahaha but they stole it within one episode alone lol. Loving the chemistry between Chairman Kang (in Hwang Junhyeon's body) with Casey Kang, their bickering is hilarious.

Lee Juyoung nailed the characteristics of a gruff but sharp old man, facial and body language wise especially.

It was hard to see Casey and her mum being bullied by Team Rocket. Lee Jumyoung excels in emotional scenes, evidently from Twenty Five-Twenty One and Like Flowers in Sand. Excited to see how she holds her own in the upcoming heist.

Btw, their ages were shown during the scene where she signs over the Gangwon land title and Gangnam building to her sister. Damn her siblings are 15 years older than her, such bullies. Jeon Hye Jin plays the villain older sister so well but her character needs therapy.

Yeah I just spent the entire day binge watching because episode 1 had me hooked and I loved every part of it. It was dark, gritty, sometimes hard to watch yet fun and heartfelt at others. It found a delicate balance between both that I liked.

The different approaches they have to deal with different cases, I loved it. Some were brutal, requiring fistfights, some were just trolling lol

Cast was fantastic and I loved the acting.

I cried, I laughed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Day off well spent.

I wouldn't mind this to go the Taxi Driver route and have some more seasons. I would love it.

Title Soul Mate
Character Progression - Each character - The two men, the female friend, the parents, the uncle’s story…all of them evolve as the story progressed.

Plot devices - Two of the plot devices, i had issues with and I wish they that had done it differently. The friend’s husband dying and one of the ML’s falling gravely ill terminally. Though, i could feel myself empathise with the friend - as she sat fully pregnant, grieving her husband and not having anyone to her side. Her loneliness got to me. It stung and made me think of the fragility of life.

Openness of heart - Both the male leads are loving and giving people. The Korean Male lead, works hard for his sister to give her good life. Both of them take in the female friend and her daughter after she becomes a widow. The parents of Japanese male lead are kind, loving and warm. Even the teacher to the Korean Male Lead, the Japanese Male lead’s dead uncle…all speak of warmth.

In a world filled with pain and hurt, of the viewers or of the characters own lives, each character adds hope and faith in the other’s life and in my life too as a spectator.

Though it is not a rosy story with every character being perfect, infact there are more than one characters who as adult fail both our leads. The teacher to Japanese Male lead…who apologises later but misses the mark when the crisis was ongoing. The teacher to Korean Male lead’s sister - who gives him the gift of a dream but also apologises 10 years later because he himself fails in reaching his goals. The corrupt sponsor who acts as a friend but actually robs the Korean ML and the society at large that hurts him when his coming out is forced upon him by a scandal.

Being in love, without telling the other, how much in love you are with them…but doing everything in your capacity to make them be happy…that in different kind of yearning pining and yet loving love that I become a reluctant fan of. I say reluctant because i am different and I love being upfront and claim my love and show it…and yet maybe because both the male leads as characters hadn’t come out or they didn’t feel the need to verbalise their love…they just loved each other through actions.

For me, it was an intimate deep dive into the lives of two people who met each other by chance and fell in love for a life time.

The length of the series has nothing to do with the quality of story telling. It is an 8 episode series, each episode goes anywhere between 34 -45 minutes in length and yet …they used every minute to its best capacity to give a crisp and solid storytelling experience.

I cried liked a baby at the last episodes. Like literally had to stop the video, cry out and then resume watching again. It is a bittersweet ending. What love was ever all happy?

I think it's safe to say the guy who plays Blew's father either learnt his lines phonetically or hasn't been speaking Thai for that long, his dialogue is very stilted. Idk if anyone else noticed in the scene when they fall on each other the editing fades their eyes together, whether it was intentional or not it looked really cool. I might be mistaken but was that Becky dubbing Lom's English dialogue, because I guarantee that was NOT Freen's voice. I can't believe we're halfway already, it feels like it's going WAY faster than The Water. I suppose it's a testament to how good the show is, it's such an easy watch, the time flies by.

Madam Foei is the queen hands down. She may be tough on her boys but she loves them. For a few episodes I was kind of giving her the side eye with questioning Wayu about returning to college and quitting being a host. Only to turn around and fund his college tuition. I finally realized she wanted to be sure he was serious about finishing. Continue being great Madam Foei.

This entire episode had me choked up. I couldn’t stand seeing Wayu cry. That breakup hurt through the screen. I love how it wasn’t overly dramatized but so realistic. That poor baby was hurt down to his soul. Poom did an amazing job this episode because he had me believing every part of Wayu’s pain.

I want to feel bad for Krit. I really do. I’m just too angry with him right now. I know that he’s going to come back and get his Wayu but still. His daddy needs a swift kick in the ass. And moms to for staying silent. I just have a feeling that something bad is going to happen to Wayu and Krit is going to be distraught trying to get to him.

Wayu’s mom? It’s about time she felt the consequences of her actions. And that’s all the words she’ll get from me.

I am loving this series a lot. It’s my first UpPoom series so now I’m going to have to watch another drama of theirs.

I knew it was always Uncle - I KNEW IT. He fabricated that whole story to be dad's doing instead of his own. There's a reason they kept showing us terrified dad. It's really REALLY shitty what he did to Bussaba. Uncle is the one who wrote the letter, kidnapped her, and ultimately killed her. Cute touch showing us she was the butterfly, it's very fitting. As well as the small mound of flowers that only grows on top of her grave.

Mata is the 2nd most annoying character - she just screamed in Gaysorn's face 5 minutes ago about the fire, then says it's water under the bridge with Scent? Huh?

Maaaaaaaan this series is so friggin slow 😂 I don't even mind that it's predictable but holy smokes so many scenes with stunned faces and silence, and boy are they long. What they should have done with this one is put PearlPeak in a thriller/mystery of the mom's disappearance rather than making it a romance. I love them, but the relationship kinda wasn't built up strong enough or long enough, and now with one episode left, I just want Gaysorn to go back to the mountain and get with Tawan. He's a hothead but at least he SPEAKS. Scent is constantly getting on my nerves.

One week left to see how Gaysorn gets his revenge and forgives Scent.

Wow, I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster of this episode. In the 1st episode, the show was still finding its footing abit imo, but everything came together very nicely for me in this 2nd ep. I thought the pacing was slightly fast in the first ep, hence I really appreciate how we got to see Barth and Tanrak slowly growing closer while spending each day together - starting with something as simple as Barth flicking water in Tanrak's face. For someone like Tanrak whose walls are so high up, Barth has to start small to bring his guard down bit by bit. The reveal of the meaning behind Tanrak's name was a bittersweet surprise to me as well - Tanrak means representative of love, and I had assumed he was named as such because Christians are meant to be representatives of God's love on earth (i think). The meaning behind his name also adds another layer of understanding to why he clings so steadfastly to his faith. We also see Barth (who was still hesitant about joining in for football at the start of the ep) eventually start to integrate with the others.

Then after all the sweet moments in the first 3/4 parts lulled me into a false sense of security, the development and change in mood in the last 1/4 grounded me back into reality once again, as Tanrak experiences his awakening. The entire scene in the bathroom - Fourth was incredible. Not a single word of dialogue, but you can sense the tension, the heaviness in his heart and his inner conflict just from his eyes and body language alone. It's the small details in his performance that make him so believable as Tanrak, like making sure to push both chairs in before exiting the priest's office.

Finally, the Lover, Believer and Lost One riddle. Barth is probably the "Lost One", but as we've seen in this ep he's def not above telling a lil white lie. But im guessing the "always tells the truth" refers to his feelings towards Tanrak, whereas Tanrak would be the "Believer" - sometimes honest about his feelings, but at other times not. Maybe this will set the stage for some conflicts going forward?

This series is so good! It’s very cool to see the manhwa being brought to life and they’re doing a fantastic job! 👏👏🎉. I’m so impressed with how Min is portraying Sun, you can really feel his sadness and anger! 👍🏼👏❤️ and this episode started to show us how much of a crazy guy Jay is, and TopTap did it beautifully! 😍😍 I can’t wait to continue to experience their dynamic!! I’m also loving the manager and the other nice actor…and Boss shows up in the next episode as the photographer!! 🥰🥰🎉

Still not a fan of little brother. At least his bully nature was directed more appropriately.

I liked that Moo Moo as an employee speaking to his boss told Fu he needed him to be serious. Himself but taking things seriously. That it echoed his personal needs is just a delight.

The high school crush explains so much. High school Fu stepped in it hardcore. I give present Fu credit for stepping back from the idiotic response that he wouldn’t have said it if he knew Moo was there and corrected to apology and acknowledgment that he fucked up because he was being cowardly.

I’m glad Moo Moo knows who his text buddy was now. I hope he gives Fu at least a little grief over that next episode.

I’m not sure if Tian is supposed to be stealing the show even when just pleasuring himself but I want more of him and less of the two brothers. I want to know what makes him tick.

This episode was cute, I liked it... although I dislike the underwater kiss trope, they made up for it with the scene of Xu Yuan texting and then fantasizing in bed. We don't get enough scenes like that in BL (for my taste anyway).

Something that has been bothering me though is the terminal cancer thing, how Zhan Wang doesn't seem to have thought it through what kind of effect his death would actually have on Xu Yuan. If his goal is to convince Xu Yuan that he is not a jinx, and Xu Yuan thinks that he is because everyone he gets close to has something terrible happen to them, then it seems like an odd choice to really befriend him while having not long left to live and not at least tell him about it in advance... I get that he is probably withholding because he thinks he would not have been able to befriend Xu Yuan otherwise, and that this might be the big issue of the whole show that's going to blow up later but why don't we see Zhan Wang worrying about it now? Kinda weird

OMG this episode!! 😭😩😩 Ayden was just so amazing in this episode, he really made me feel all his pain and regret!! And Lyu Sitong was also amazing, I imagine it was not easy to just lay there pretending to be unconscious while Ayden is acting his heart out…just incredible for both of them 👏👏👏 I know is an unpopular opinion, but I got emotional seeing the two brothers reunite…no matter what else is going on, it really was not right for Lu Feng to keep the brothers apart, but I also hate that Chen Yi is choosing to leave Lu Feng again 😞😞 this series causing this amount of discussion online shows you how good it is! ❤️❤️

I don’t know why in order to gush about one series, people feel the need to disrespect another. Heated Rivalry didn’t “steal” anything. That spotlight was EARNED. 10 Dance was released AFTER Heated Rivalry started and was almost done airing. So that spotlight was already there before 10 Dance hit anyone’s screen.

10 Dance was good, but unfortunately, didn’t have an HEA. Many people, for that reason alone, don’t “love” it.

Oh, that intro is FIRE with the pencil sketches and the ominous music. YES! And then - an exciting fight scene for an opener!

I thought maybe Tae Jeong was putting Yi Do through some tests, they focused a lot on the peanut butter during breakfast, so I thought maybe TJ knew of the allergy from childhood. Turns out it was the shrimp, but again I thought that was also test, and it's obvious TJ didn't know.

So what kind of cop is TJ? Do we think he has 2 personalities, Mr. Cute and Mr. Serious Policeman? Because I'm loving the duality of Yi Do being a sweet yearner with TY but then alllll business in the basement as the contract killer.

We're moving along with Sr. Hot Cop giving TJ the reveal of the day. We also have player 4 (Mr. Phone Call) who is calling all the shots on Yi Do.

The panic over the note in the journal and reunion were very sweet. I am glad the friends grabbed the brother and were like please just mind your own business for once and let them talk.

The ending left a lot of questions for me. We still have an overbearing mom more worried about his fame than his health. I don't exactly understand what the coach deal was at the end. Does he make a comeback in the tennis world successfully or not? Will he ever wear the fish elbow band?

Still I enjoyed it and am sad to see it go. They really did all have a pretty "gaze"
