'Arsenal Military Academy' have a pretty androgynous looking fl and yet it's one of the most popular cross-dressing cdrama ever.

Why does he seems to look younger and younger in each of his movies/dramas? Just recently watched '#Alive' and he can still easily pass off as a high schooler. I wouldn't be surprised if he's actually a vampire lmao.

Am I only one who actually liked this? It was indeed a bit pointless at times and I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies but honestly, I still think it was really enjoyable and realistic. Totally worth watching imo.

Who said she has to use her powers in front on everyone in the academy? She can still use them when she's doing something secretive. Like how she stole li xuan's token but unfortunately back then, she didn't even bother defending herself much from his bodyguard so it made her real identity really obvious, meanwhile Prince Mu who fought with him a lot more than her wasn't easy to figure out. If figuring out someone's identity with just their measly fighting skills was this easy then he would have been caught a long ago since he's from another state and probably has different way of fighting than others. Also, let's not forget that she literally transformed into her actual form while saving Crown Prince from the assassins sent by Second Prince so I honestly doubt that she's incapable of using her powers without revealing that she's from kanwu clan, the writers are just lazy and prefer to go with the typical damsel in distress fl who only uses her brain once in a blue moon and always get saved by others, because how else will they prove their ml and second ml's love unless the fl with even less personality than a side character can't even defend herself from a bug?
So let's please not make excuses for lazy writing, that'll never solve the problems. If we want to see an ACTUAL capable, intelligent and independent fl in the future (or in the second season of this drama if they're going to make one) then refusing to go with cdrama writer's cliché ways and giving constructive criticism is important.

It really bothers me how the FL just can't do ANYTHING on her own. Whenever she gets injured, the second ML helps her heal with his spiritual power. Whenever she gets in trouble, the second ML helps her escape. Whenever she has to fight with anyone, the second ML fights that person more than she does herself. Whenever she needs to use her brain to complete her mission, the second ML comes up with tricks for her. If she could, she'll probably ask the second ML to kiss Li Xuan for her too...
From which fucking angle does she looks like the only demon saintess who's only purpose in life is to save her clan and has trained for years under a mysterious 'master' with a weird hobby of shape-shifting into a ugly sword and nagging at her??

Ikr!! They're both so freaking dumb smh. She 'trained' for years just to save her people YET she's weaker than Prince Mu and even Li Xuan's body guard. This drama had the potential to be great but they completely ruined it with the lead's noble idiocy and the "uwu I'm so shy and kind sorry I can't even bear to kill a bug~" personality they gave to the fl.

I honestly wish Youlian was more manipulative, ambitious and determined to free the dragon emperor (or whatever, I forgot his name) for her people even if that means hurting Li Xuan's feelings, basically kind of similar to Lu Zhao yao from 'The Legends'. She's just way too kind and weak... And I hate how she's the main lead but her character is still so cliché and badly written that even Princess Yushan, who's just a supporting character, surpasses her in terms of personality and character development.

I used feel bad for Crown Prince because he always get bullied by Li Xuan but after seeing how he treats the Second Prince/His own 'brother' and is a cunning person overall, he deserves to get bullied more often imo.

I do already know that lmao. They just said that he's considered a lowlife in human clan so everyone was surprised when he was accepted into the academy in the synopsis but that was not the case at all. Nobody was surprised because he's not a 'lowlife' in the human clan.

Overhyped. The fighting scenes were cool and all but I was bored to death while watching it. I was honestly more interested in the house of flying daggers and their new mysterious leader instead of the love triangle between the leads; Hence, this whole movie was really disappointing to me :/

But I guess it's popular because it was pretty good for its time? If that's the case then it's indeed not overrated, just overhyped (like I already said) - as in, it's not something that should be recommended to anyone who's solely looking for plot or action rather than romance. I'm saying this because this movie is praised for everything but the romantic parts when they made upto 98% of the movie. The cinematography was indeed beautiful though, but that's expected from the talented director (I loved his Shadow, it's one of my favourite movies). He's known for his visuals for a reason.
