Honestly, all I want to know is why he needs so much money. I'm so curious about Fei Ke's backstory and motive. Not only does he harm other people, he doesn't even hesitate to harm himself as we can tell by the ending of episode 4 (yeah he did it to fake something else, but he still did it nevertheless)

Half of the budget probably went into their styling and I couldn't be happier about that. Everyone here looks so fucking good in their outfits and makeup, giving those a vampire mafia vibes. I usually don't watch TV shows but I'll definitely watch this one.

I personally loved him in 'A League of Nobleman', his character was so complex yet charming there (mainly because of the way he portrayed it, Boran indeed has a natural charm just like Fei Ke). However it's a historical so if you prefer something modern then 'Road Home' might be a good choice. I believe he's popular because he's got great screen presence and leaves an impression on your mind even if it's your first time watching him though, I have only seen about 3 of his works myself and I'm still a fan lmao.

Fr though. It's a relief that Fei Ke isn't real and Boran is just an actor. Otherwise all of us would've been walking around broke as hell while contemplating robbing a bank to give him even more money 💀

Honestly I'll have to say that they did a great job by casting Jing Boran. Because I, too, would get scammed easily if the scammer was him.

This man has an insane amount of screen presence. My eyes are glued to him everytime he's on the screen, even if he's merely standing in the background.

Ikr, they're trying what they can and I'm also happy about that. The amount of trust he had towards Fei Ke and their living together situation makes sense this way, he wasn't shown to have no friends as he partied a lot (so it seem less likely for him to be lonely enough to be seeking a friend) but the way he talked about Fei Ke's 'charm' probably holds some meaning.

I got done watching it just now. I wasn't saying that they aren't connected (the first ep already makes it obvious that they indeed are), just guessing the identity of that mysterious guy who has kept them locked up. So I don't really get what you mean here, perhaps because English isn't my first language.

I thought the same. They obviously couldn't explicitly portray it due to the censorship laws, but it seemed heavily implied.

^ just my dumb theory that doesn't contain any spoilers beyond episode 2, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to read it if they haven't gotten to that episode yet.

I'm still on episode 2 so my current theory is a bit flimsy but what if the guy He Liao Lu Yun's playing (that character who has kept others locked up at the funeral) is Fei Ke's younger brother? Maybe he lied about everything else but not about the fact that he has a younger brother, something he told to his fake-wife (no idea what else to call her) when they first met, and after he actually died or disappeared somehow — his younger brother is demanding to know the information from the characters so he could know who his brother truly was and fix his wrongdoings. Of course, there's probably more complicated and complex story on top of all that, but I get a feeling that this could also be a small part of the entire story.

Can we just talk about that opening though? All those puzzle pieces falling into place to reveal the cast and some plot-related things, is honestly both satisfying and intriguing to watch. I feel like it might have a bit of symbolism, especially how the pieces went from fitting together with ease to either completing only half of the pictures or being just everywhere/in a state of disarray.

I can't get over the cinematography. Shit's IMMACULATE, it feels like a movie and the heavy atmosphere for a thriller is on-point.
