Honestly, I'm fine with Joy of Life being a trilogy as long as they maintain the same quality. The novel was quite long and they've already dealt with the dragging aspect (Fan Xian's harem + hopefully the drug rape won't happen either) in the first season by reducing the amount of women who are interested in him all at once, so I feel like it'll remain good. Joy of Life is one of my favourite dramas to begin with, when I put aside my fear of potential disappointments that sequels often turn out to be (for example I didn't like season 2 of Arthdal Chronicles as much), I'm in fact happy to know that I can watch more of this story, more of the characters and the world.

Waited so long I've forgotten the joy of my own life. We eating good this month.

This drama makes me feel poor. Every place they visit looks expensive. At this point I can't even seem to care about the story anymore (I'm tired of it, when is the family drama going to end like bro just shoot each other) I'm just too busy looking at their mansions.

Fr it's hard to root for him after this. Even if it's his method of 'revenge', it seems like a revenge worst than what she could've done to him. Unless she has committed or condoned SA, it was completely unjust.

She seemed mad at her for not telling the story too. It would make sense if she was the mole between them, might be easier to control the group this way.

And the notorious torture method called 'waiting for the next episode to drop after the last episode left you begging for more' begins...

Also Chen Shufa seemed more upset about his money than his daughter in the voice messages and was happy at simply getting his money back. Maybe Fei Ke did break his daughter's heart but she stayed alive and Shufa sent her away, or she died due to something unrelated to FK (Shufa seemed like a bad father to me, especially when he demanded his daughter to have a son instead of a daughter in the future because 'sons can do great things' yikes, perhaps she committed suicide due to him being abusive?) And the office woman he seduced said she has her 'own way' when asked how she avoided being arrested, I kind of felt bad for her until then. She creeped me out in that scene lmao.

Plus, most of the people targeted by Fei Ke are older than him so it probably has something to do with his past/childhood, he's got a whole team of people playing with cans the same way he does too and I think it's safe to assume that whatever they did effected a lot of people. Doesn't mean he's a saint though, since the implication of what he did to Xuan'er was terrifying, he could've faked it to scare her and I believe that's why he purposefully placed the watch there (this guy has been play 4d chess with the rest of the characters, no way he forgot a watch after committing a crime or couldn't make up an excuse to tell her on the spot — he wanted her to notice the watch on purpose) but still, the trauma is no joke and I've always despised SA being used as a form of revenge, it's the worst trope ever.

The victims are definitely not as innocent as they seem. I feel like they're holding back a lot and Fei Ke's still got something on them, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to threaten them before disappearing, and they wouldn't come to the funeral of someone they hate so much. If they truly believe him to be a trashy scammer, why would they think showing up to his funeral would result in them getting their money back? The 'dead' isn't going to turn over a new leaf.

Meguro Ren, same writer as Silent and single parenting? I already know that it's going to be good. He knows how to portray these characters and the writer knows how to handle such delicate topics realistically and respectfully. It's going to be an unforgettable watch.

Would be cool if they swapped their roles in season 2, turn the civilians into mafias, mafias into civilians, the person who killed the most into a doctor, and someone who suspects everyone into a police so they'll have a hard time picking just one person to use their ability on. I want chaos.

Honestly, I was more invested in that rock-climbing, bully-fighting, lemme-just-bandage-yo-leg tall jock than the main leads. Dude was my favourite character and yes, I still forgot his name because I binged this at 3am while only my 3 braincells were awake. Gentle giants = my ultimate weakness.

I'll have to say the actor playing him is handsome though. He gets on my nerves but he's easy on the eyes.

I'm surprised they didn't vote for the local bully right on the second day. Bro had no redeeming qualities, not even a single one. He had beef with everyone in the school, and when he was trying to convince others to be on his side he'd be like "Join me 🥺 or I'll beat you to death" and then he'll beat them up anyways. Even if he belonged to my own team, I'd vote this goober off. That mean girl wasn't any less annoying, she just pretended enough to not show her real side so it makes sense why they won't vote for her immediately. Meanwhile this guy was straight up throwing punches like a debt collector showed up at his house and demanded his kidneys. Dramatic ahh mf.

I feel like it's because Fei Ke knew his weakness. Chen Shufa once said that merchants/businessmen like him are most afraid of the government and those who work for them. He 'confirmed' (more like attempted to) what he could, but when it came to confirming the identity of Fei Ke's father, he hesitated because he was afraid. Afraid of somehow offending him or bothering him. Also because someone needs to have balls of steel to claim that a government official is his father and nobody would expect for a scammer to be this audacious lmao.
