Alright this is a bit random but I was reading the recent chapter of 'Painter of the Night' and when Seungho casually lifted Nakyum by his clothes because he's a smol puppy, I was reminded of Lee Sejin because he's also really tiny (in a good way) so now I can't help but wish he would get lifted like that in this drama too. It'll be really cute.

Just because the main character is cross-dressing, it's doesn't mean it's not a bl anymore. It's obvious as heck that he won't be able to pretend to be a woman forever and the ml would be more than aware of his real gender, even in the official poster he's in men's clothing infront of his love interest. We're not 'over-analysing' the trailer or anything, the NRB team themselves said it's a bl lmao. Why are so many people in the comments still denying it? Even if they don't keep up with this drama's updates, it shouldn't be difficult to tell that 3 actors mainly popular for acting in recent k-bls weren't probably put together as main leads for a straight drama...

It's fine to vent our frustration and have discussions but we don't need to start an unnecessary fanwar, it's not helping anyone.

Lmao they really did edited it and completely changed their argument. It went from them belittling the actors for their looks and popularity to 'explaining' their views like they're an adult trying to console an angry 5 years old kid who doesn't know any better. Idk if I should laugh or cry.

If the main character and his actions could be explained entirely just by the first few chapters, 2ha wouldn't have 311 chapters and 39 extras.

And honestly, there's no way I can have low expectations about ranwan's chemistry when there's scenes like this. I mean just take a look at the right screen, I bet they can almost tell what toothpaste brand the other one used.

This drama's beauty is in it's simplicity and realism. I love how you can actually see all these scenarios happening in real life because they're not unrealistic or unnecessarily dramatic just for the sake of shock value.

I honestly don't think It'll be delayed to the next year (at most, it'll only be a month or two) because if they want to avoid 'competition' then April is the best time to air hyx since the competition (I seriously hate this word, it sounds like I'm participating in a petty fanwar) is only between them & 'that' drama which is not even a brotherhood adaption thus doesn't stand out much to the danmei fandom. The collaboration is also ready to be launched and both Chen Feiyu and Luo Yunxi's schedules are very fitting for the promotion around mid April. The postponement will only give hyx more competitors because many danmei adaptations are supposed to air next year and Tgcf drama adaption would probably get tons of recognition after the cast gets confirmed and their shooting starts, especially because they've equal amount of readers as 2ha.
Anyways, If hyx needs mouth-to-mouth cpr to finally breath then I volunteer as a tribute. They don't need to wait until next year.

I'm wondering that too. Maybe they'll still keep his brothel addiction but make Rong Jiu a girl? Because Rong Jiu does play a part in the story. Without him, Mo Ran wouldn't steal and then get whipped by Tianwen - which is how the author introduced Chu Wanning and his past life in Sisheng Peak at first. He also appears later in the underworld arc. The screenwriter said she'll stay true to the novel so I doubt she'll change any of that.

Yeah maybe hyx was just a well crafted social experiment conducted by NASA to test out how humanity deals with constantly trusting rumours and then being disappointed.

Alright so I was re-reading the novel yet again and noticed that everything Mo Ran 1.0 does is the least family friendly stuff possible. How are they going to censor all that LMFAO he literally woke up in a gay brothel on his first day, what'll hyx do? Lay him on a field of rice? And Rong Jiu's going to end up as a brotherhood-thirsty farmer rather than a gay prostitute? XD

(Ps: I know they might make it a straight brothel but it's still funny as heck, I can literally imagine the screenwriter wiping the sweat on her forehead while desperately trying to make it pass the censorship).
