Am I the only one ehm affected by the Cambodian businessman guy? The way he fought through getting a finger cut off and killed those guys and casually tells the other guy get me the casket and just walks off bruh who are you I‘d watch a second season just for him, I think he awoke sth in me I didn’t even watch this drama fully, just first 2 eps and last 2 eps lol
As it often happens with K-dramas, it was a mediocre story elevated by some great performances. The best and the…
I always scroll through these sections looking for some original thoughts and lol Idk why this made me laugh but I guess you have a point, there is certainly a science to anything and the producers room must have shared similar thoughts
I really like this authors work. Infact i love her. She is my most anticipated author. So maybe i was expecting…
I get you, I felt there was a certain level of vulnerability/intensity/depth of human fragility missing, if that makes sense? The characters don’t feel as bare to me depsite the constant emphasis on their emotions. I personally also didn‘t click with the sudden romance between the leads, I didn’t feel it at all. I did like it, one of the few kdramas I liked and completed the last years but I did expect a lot more.
Anyone else disappointed with the resolution of the FL‘s story? All that buildup with her background story and mother and it gets resolved with a therapy talk in the background… I wanted to see her do more/sth bold and suprising as she did throughout the show whenever she opened her mouth. I found the ML‘s lead success arc in the latet episodes too fairytale-sque and lost interest I feel the FL became a fuel to his story and turned into a side character
i love when korea does this kind of drama, they be putting effort innit. for example, study group with them crazy…
yes you can see how much effort they put into f.e. the fights, genuinely entertaining sequences, how they used their quirks, the scenes of them using/activating/training their skills, they don't feel like some forced-must-go-through plot devices but rather sitting with them and enjoying them
I mentioned here that stories stories don't need to have a "never seen before concept" but rather do the work well with their own touch and creativity, and this shows really knew what it was going to be and delivered. It didn't try to convince you solely on how serious or complex the story was and let that carry the show but it knew how to properly use all the elements: villains come and go after they're used up and don't annoy too much, the characters are loveable and you root for them, the comedy is top-notch and the fights are so enjoyable seriously the fights were so creative and entertaining and I'm someone who usually gets annoyed by fights and skips them but here I ate them up
oh and ALSO I love how the kiss scene was actually relevant to the plot, I loved him doing that knowing it would get her flustered and out of the danger and also how they reused it as a plot device later with her remembering it again to fuel herself, that was such good writing
You have that impression because of role...he "fits" into it...awkward, etc...give him something more…
"give him something more coplex" why do people make those arguments? why should we imagine him playing a different character when is playing this character well? that makes no sense and is not the gotcha people think it is. He plays characters that he can play well.
i m on ep 3 little bit confused, why this show is giving some copy vibes of "stranger things"?? i mean…
The Witch had a similar plot but the point is that all those stories don't need to have a "never seen before concept" but rather do the work well with their own touch and creativity, and that they delivered. A lot of art, be it books or shows or movies are similar on this.
Idk why anyone is complaining, he played his character well? He doesn't have to be some grande oscar-level actor, he did his job well? You might wanna argue he couldn't do a "more serious or tragic character" but that wasn't the assignment here at all?
Overall i think it’s quite a fun ride, nice to binge-watch as well. I was kinda hoping the 3 wunderkinder (?)…
I was hoping hallucination girl was gonna do a Mai from ATLA LOL but her just going and trying to kill ML was boring on her arc (but the sequence was good: you didn't sit too long with the dread of what the guy was gonna do with the metal rod or what she was planning)

2. definitely wasn’t sold on their romance
