that‘s crazy 😭 at least with food it would be a waste to throw it away but the same cant be said about time, it’s always valueable. Life is too short to spend it on anything you dont enjoy. I get you hope it might grow on you but if you dont like it by now, you wont till the end either and then you‘ll have wasted not 2 episodes but 11
The writer sat and asked: how dark do I want this? And they went way Darker. This is the darkest. I couldn’t…
They even toned down some darkness from the novel lol f.e. In the novel Yeol Guk (the dad) punishes the maidservant for letting the real Hongrang die by torturing her and beheading her daughter (the one that helped with the pomegrenate wine plot and got beaten with Jaei) and ML dies through the consequences of cutting the skin off his back (and some poisening aftermath) oh and Hongrang‘s mother k1lled Jai’s mother
i was trying so hard to like this drama but I couldn't 😭forced myself to complete it. the romance between the…
why do people do this? I never got it. Forcing yourself to watch sth you don‘tlike. Like I will watch something for 19 episodes but the moment I don‘t like it sth, I‘ll drop. I was so obsessed with My Dearest for the first season and few episodes into the second season hated the direction of the, droppped and never looked back lol. This drama is the first I have completed in YEARS literally and I loved it
1. First of all, wtf is the deal with the Snow Man, his character felt so off, like why is he even there, who…
There is a link in „Recent Discussion“ above with the plot summary. The snow man didn‘t exist in the novel, the male lead dies through the aftermath of some poison he used to poison the dad and pealing the skin off his his back, she survives. About the title, Idk, good question
This so a freakin boring and not funny at all... what a wasteAlso the super dark family scene of ML dont fit the…
thanks for expressing my feelings lol I see everyone raving and I ain‘t trying to ruin anyone‘s fun but I felt like „are we watching the same thing…..“. I couldn‘t even finish the first episode and I was excited for this. ML is so unserious and ridiculous, and stories that are supposed to be „bad boy gets tamed“ or whatever are only interesting when the guy presents a challenge, this one doesn‘t. Every scene of his was unbearable to me. It‘s like a caricature of some old tropes trying to hit some feelings
1. Who was the Snowman? They made him seem important at the start but never really explained who he is. 2. Jae…
wasn‘t ep 8 where they run away and he confesses to her? You could see his scar from the fight on his neck there. But either way, I think these are minor things that don‘t really matter. Ad 5 from the spoilers of the novel Mujin tortures Hongrang imposter but they were too chicken to make him do that in the show so InHoe it was. Ad 1 LOL same, just some dude flying around, cracked me up, made no sense
is there any nudity or sex scenes here? planning to watch it in the living room with my parents lol
There are some kisses between the leads and a more intimate making out with backs/shoulder visible but that‘s it. Also there is a drawing that is lewd on a talisman which plays a role in the story
So from the spoilers of the novel, the way/reason he dies is different from the show. I understand the same reason would feel off in the show because he clearly demonstrated will to live with her and promises to return to her vs the novel? The novel spoiler made me think he was being more destructive towards himself. The show also made him accepting his back a moment to bond with eachother, her teaching him and all , so if he were to go and cut his skin off it would feel undoing all that. So the reason for his death in the show kinda feels off to me, like the story needed him to die so we go there one way or another. The novel death made me think (and I‘m very theorizing here since I have not read it) that he is somehow in conflict and doesn‘t fully give in to his love until after the deeds have been done that cause his death, making it more tragic.
also, I ATE this up, a whole menu, I loved it. Especially the romance, pulled the right strings for me. First drama I completed (even was glued till the end) for ages! I pity anyone who can‘t appeciate stories like these, I would have loved to read the novel.
I am confused about the order when the gisaeng bought him as a slave? Was he captured by the human traffickers afterwards? Beccause I thought he got caught after he ran away as a slave
