This series is the definition of cringe in every thinkable aspect. Dropped.
It seems you haven't seen "Secret crush on you" yet... π I agree it's very cringy, but if you look up the definition of cringe it's scoy, but sxv is definitely a close second π€£
I couldn't bring myself to watch the latest episode yet... how often did he call him "Khun Dad" in it? At the beginning I was able to stand the typical cringe scenes of a starhunter production, but I think this "nickname" is too much for me π₯Ά
Please someone give Pon a haircut!! I like this series so far. I'm looking forward to see the JJ/Methas (or is it Methas/JJ?) storyline. I just love a good enemies to lovers plot, and theirs is right where I like it.
Ooh Drake and Title? What an interesting pairing! I hope we get to see more. Title deserves to get a happy end someday π I also absolutely adore Fluke. I want to see him as a main lead in his own series!
I have only watched half of episode 10, the preview for part 3 looks like they will talk about this, but still: The audacity of their dad standing there watching them fight because it's his rule they do that as if it's not partly his fault! He left his oldest son to parent his youngest son shouldering their debt and now he wants to play at being their dad??? wtf His redemption better be good and his apologies sound!!
I don't know how to describe what I feel about this show... probably a bit let down? Fourth and Gemini are such talented actors, but it feels wasted on this script? Fourth as Gun or Liming, his acting felt natural but as Atom it feels a bit forced. Not sure what the director was thinking there. I feel like Kongthap is portrayed similar to the japanese original (tbh I can't remember much of that show, but I get a similar feeling) but at the same time it feels like he had barely any screentime? I absolutely love the friendship between Atom and Mudmee though. Overall I think in between my current favourites "We are" and "My Stand-In" this series just feels a bit underwhelming and a little boring? I don't have the urge to watch it right away after it airs, but after the exitement of the other 2 dramas mentioned dies down I watch this as to bridge the gap in between their episodes. As a light-hearted High School drama it's not bad. I just hope Gemini and Fourths next drama will bring a bit more depth and excitement.
I just love how during the scene in ep 9 in Joe's old apartment, when Sol comes in and punches Ming, Joe is only concerned about Ming hahah He gets dragged away by Sol but he is all "Ming! Ming!" And he was about to give in to Ming because he finally told him what he wanted to hear. If that isn't a dead give a way that Joe loves Ming, red flag and toxicity and all that.
I normally get frustrated easily if things between couples move too slow in romance dramas, but I absolutely love this one. I'm obsessed. Every week I rewatch all the episodes, while waiting for the next one. For me this is just perfect, because in and of itself it's actually not moving that slowly (at least imo). The way the plot moves just makes sense to me. All couples in this have amazing chemistry and grow together. And we are getting spoiled with so many kiss scenes between PondPhuwin. Honestly, it makes me so happy when I think about there will be 16 (!!) episodes of this feel good series (thank you, New π). Wednesday's can't come fast enough!
First this is the best episode so far. Second Poom is rocking that velvet shirt with sparkly stripes. π€£πBoth…
I agree so much with you on Sol and Wut. They made my blood boil. The nonchalance they handled Joe's Body's death. Like let the guy morn his lost life! The whole "you shouldn't go to your own funeral" uhm, he totally should decide that for himself.
The problem I have with Sol is, that he always picks the fight. Be it confronting Ming underneath the stairs and the brawl that followed, or now in ep 9 in the bar. He never even once thinks about the consequences his actions will have for Joe. He claims he likes/loves/is better for Joe than Ming. But he didn't care when both of them threw punches at Joe, when he tried to break up their brawl, he just let him get hurt. He didn't care in the Bar either. There were reporters and the boss of his agency, all with the power to stop Joe's career right then and there. He and Ming are popular stars, they would be the ones being protected by the agency and Joe, as a small actor, would have been blamed as the reason for their fight. You can't tell me he thinks about Joe and his wellbeing, when he proves time and time again that the only thing he cares about his his own feelings and satisfaction. That does not make Ming any less of a red flag or any better, he was also involved in the first fight. But at least he really loves Joe and he learned from his mistakes (at least a little bit) and is now trying to do better. He also never gave up looking for Joe, always hoping he is still somewhere out there. That's why imo Sol is not a better choice than Ming either.
I totally get where you are coming from. His monologues were just so cringy π I always skipped them... thankfully…
I actually thought their first meeting was the most exciting thing that happens in the series... They become a couple very quickly, but it is very slow burn after that. They have this kind of courtship phase where they get to know each other and hype each other up for their jobs. Mixed in with more voice actors doing their thing and her singing, finding her way in the industry. I think you only missed out on something, if slow burn prim romance is your thing.
First of all heβs definitely not the green flag that everyone is talking aboutHeβs very sneakyAll of his obsession…
Yes, that scene where Ming and Sol were fighting was so not about Joe it was about their own hurt egos, because they saw the other as a rival. At the same time they did not care about Joe at all. I was screaming at my TV for them to stop hurting Joe π that's when I started to dislike Sol. The elevator scene where he didn't react to Joe2 was just the nail in the coffin for me. Ming felt it. Sol didn't.
