Title I Told Sunset about You Spoiler
Because this series has so many wonderful reviews and comments I feel it my duty to represent the other side.…
Yes. The first episode or actually the first couple of episodes don't shine a good light on Teh but you have to understand that characters have to evolve and grow throughout a storytelling. The writers themselves made that very clear with the coconut as a symbolism. Had it not started that way (as rival), you will not fully understand or appreciate how much Teh sacrificed to give up his place in his dream university. Teh has a big ego and to be able to accept and stomach giving up all his dream for someone is such a big deal. He acted in such a way in the end, instead of hating Oh-Taew, and run away (just like the first episode), he embraced it and face Oh-Taew and his real feelings.

I'm really glad that this series is bold enough. The masturbate scene and PP wearing a dress was a very realistic dramatic scenario

Not that I dislike the hammock scene. It was just because the scene before that for me was more intense (the kissing underwater). It was the same feeling I have with the sofa and almost sex. I prefer the sofa over that scene.

No. The one wherein he has a crush on Bas. For some reason that is my first scene where I fell in love with the two. The reaction and interaction were so genuine. It reinforces that they are real friends in the start and not just all of a sudden abrupt into becoming lovers.

The hammock scene was great but not one of my favorites tho.

Title I Told Sunset about You Spoiler
EASILY BECOME THE BEST BL IVE SEEN. IVE WATCH IT ALL IN ONE DAY.OH - MY - GOD.
Favorite scenes:
1. Teh going to Oh's school. Oh confessing his secret to Teh.
2. Every crying scene of Teh. In the toilet. When Oh did not accept his spot followed by opening his book he used to make notes for Oh. Brother talking to him.
3. The piano. subtle but so powerful.
4. The kissing scene underwater.
5. The sofa massaging.

The story was well written. Everything flows. At some point, I was ready to hate Teh, but it was the same time when things turn upside down for him and you get to understand why.

The culture. I like the incorporation of Chinese culture in here. It is great and refreshing.

No annoying characters. No stupid fan girls in BL trope. Very real. Very raw. Rooted in real life. The characters themselves act on reality as opposed to many BL where they take in a fantasy/hypothetical scenes.

The subtle hidden symbols. From the choice of chinese words ( something sin ) to hibiscus symbolism to the choice of androgeny in fictional Chinese male characters to even the food (COCONUT, Mee and crushed ice dessert) to the choice of NAMES (Hoon - as in vermicelli, oh-aew, TEH - tea - as in how he went through a deep long journey, brewing to realize himself).

OH MY GOD, I CAN GO ON AND ON AND ON.

I just hope the Part 2 does not disappoint. It helps that the series is short and concise, to the point.

Great drama. It actually look at every facet of social justice and how it affects both victims and perpetuator's family. I like that it ends with hope and positivity.

Title Pearl Next Door Spoiler
I don't even have any energy to write my lengthy explanation. But to sum this up, (1) throw out the Pearl you know in Gameboy, because the ballsy girl she is in that series is gone in the toilet with a crappy love triangle - which all along and obviously is NOT a love triangle, as the writers and producers have set up to be (the theory of ex). So all along, she was playing with Alex feeling. She never really feel anything for Alex, she was a second option, and option she kept because she thought she had no chance with Karleen. (2) Karleen is a piece of crap of a person. She has issues, yes, I give that to her. But the whole incident in the resort would have not happened, if she respected Alex and Pearl's time. And to takeover Alex's supposed date with Pearl in that resort after Alex left is just a disgusting move. Pearl is in that same boat. (3) Alex, girl, move on. It is as clear as a day, you have NO CHANCE. (4) Writers. Desperate for second season. Hence the terrible ending, they should just have been bold enough to just make Karleen and Pearl a couple - and let them deal with their issues as a relationship, with Pearl helping Karleen through her "trauma". Yet they chose a shitty girl trope ala Twilight, where a girl who knows who she going to pick, bring a long a third party so writers have more useless love triangle storyline.

What did you achieve in this series? Nothing. You can pretty much pretend what happened, and you end up in the same spot.

I was expecting more from this series, thought it will be more adult and more mature, but I was kinda disappointed since it's not. I like the theme and the characters are quite enjoying, tho

Title Someday or One Day Spoiler
When Huang Yu Xuan was Chen Yu Ru's life, she was afraid of cooking - remember that fish with Chen Yu Ru's brother? They even burn the food they going to eat. Then later on, we find out Huang Yu Xuan works in bbq place and then likes to have a kitchen in the house to cook. I think this is a mishap in the part of writers.
