I am a fan of DMBJ series so will watch this regardless but still hoping for a slightest glimpse of the impossible bromance in the drama

OMG....the drastic cut from 36 eps to 24 eps...I can't with chinese dramas, they shot for over 6 months only for this to be cut down like this...is it because of the bromance genre....I think we are gonna get league of nobleman level reduction or even more perhaps....
I am too sad to even imagine that 🥲😭

Somewhere on X or MDL , few people exclaimed sigh upon this being cut down to 24 eps or 30 eps...so it's gonna be 36 eps or not...can someone give a clarification on eps count

Yes exactly ...you are 💯% right ....no one actually cared what she wanted...and she truly wished to be with feng xiao xiao ...she is never shown to have any desires except when we see her wanting to be with feng xiao xiao and fortunately, he reciprocates it ..but unluckily the timing wasn't right and sudden appearance of this annoying person in her life which I don't know why they keep showing in preview of latest eps...it makes me feel like she already forgot feng xiao xiao and fell for the annoying guy...which is truly sad

Like it was so annoying that the two of them aren't close yet and still he grabbed her hand like anything, barged into her room without permission and after he was expelled , he confidently said he can coax her back...as if disregarding her self respect.....and then he even said, that knowing her as person isn't important, coz he just feels for her to be his lifetime partner forever so understanding her or not isn't important for him.....in comparison to him feng xiao xiao is more decent as a person....you can see he didn't make a move on her until he was sure she feels the same way...and i don't know why people are saying that he only started acknowledging her after she became famous like they forgot, beside baiyi and heiwa, feng xiao was the only person of her age who would defend her in trainee class or outside whether it was her uncle's affairs or her individual affairs ...these people forgot how feng xiao xiao stood to be punished alongside laidi because he knew she was protecting others....
Like their crush on each other was mutual ...they understood each other even without talking so logically laidi falling for him would have made more sense .
I liked young laidi ...atleast she was shown to be a loyal person....like we see her following aunt hua all the time when she knew she was upset by aunt milan getting a lead role...she didn't even stopped there to chat around with her while she was trying to coach her, she immediately went out to follow her aunt hua.....and the fact that she was loyal to her promise made to her uncle of not giving up despite considering him as a stranger and never fully her own family,.....in case of feng xiao xiao, we all can see she has had crush on him for so long even before they started interacting , you can see that she was always trying to find him in the crowd and she used to look somewhat disappointed when she would find chu jiahe and fengxiao xiao together and she was loyal to her master, she and feng xiao xiao both didn't approach each other till the play was over where they played mother -son relationship, but after completing the play , when they kind of started dating and she even said that she would wait for feng xiao xiao...considering her loyal throughout the story so far, her forgetting feng xiao xiao and suddenly giving space in her heart to a man who she just met doesn't align logically with her character growth....people like her go from trusting no one easily to becoming more aloof given what she faced since her childhood, giving attention to less and selective people around her....I don't know why but it doesn't fit logically with the character of her being like a hard shelled nut in childhood to becoming soft hearted like a jelly to be melted easily by some one like liu hongbing who is nothing but just a fanboy...he doesn't even respect her personal space......forces his way into her love life confidently and she lets him in forgetting she has committed herself to another person...
Like the direction of her love life is truly bad,....I don't care what was in the novel....but in the dramas, they always refine the characters to be more robustly in sync with the plot ......and also some people saying why feng xiao xiao didn't fight for her ...in my opinion , I think it's because he doesn't want to trap her with him thinking may be is not good enough for her.....just in my perspective...
But I am deadly sure the endgame cp is liu hongbing and yi qing e...coz during promotion for the drama, we are seeing these two together..so most likely yes they will be together till the end.....but I will still hope for tiny trace of miracle to happen

I am willing to start this drama ....since I am.a non romance lover , I was more than happy to see that this drama is not romantic but before starting I wanna know why they tagged it as sisamnce like is the plot female centric?

Yes exactly....I really wish to fast forward his scenes....he is so annoying.....I can't with him....literally......how I wish his character to have been deleted from the story.....coz he gives me creepy stalker vibes like bro why can't he take a hint.....and if yi qing e really falls in love with him like in the novel coz in the outro I noticed their hugging scene then I am gonna be pissed really bad coz since a long time i have never really enjoyed shipping two characters romantically as much as I do to see my feng-yi ship to sail .........even though this ship is bound to sink by fate , I don't want to see yi qinge with this creepy guy like why is he in main role ...he is such an eyesore

Believe me guys…I am neither a romance lover nor did I came across this drama anticipating romance but having watched 23 episodes already has pulled me down bad for feng xiao xiao and yi Qing e …but unfortunately this ship isn’t fated to sail by what I have read in the comments down below…….but I also hope she doesn’t end with liu hong bing either……I mean she deserves better and not someone who cheats her in future…..I mean I would have been fine if feng xiao xiao’s love was just one sided but dude clearly till now both of them seem to be into each other…..I mean I am fine if she doesn’t end up with feng xiao xiao but from what we know her since the beginning of the story buff and tough girl she shouldn’t innocently fall for love at first sight trap……she is different from other girls since she suffered more than what others would go through at her age ….her character shouldn’t fall apart midway……coz i can sniff the air of misdirection so far the way the story is progressing

This is soo much like an uncensored dangai....I mean the plot is plotting....unlike other uncensored chinese dramas which focused soley on gay romance and couple longing....this drama is trying their best at aiming for character building, arc progression and high quality post production ....like I didn't feel like I was watching a drama which isn't released as mainstream chinese drama
.........I mean this is very good improvement how they preserved the goodness of chinese dramas with this one....devoid the unnecessary censorship but I would have been happier if the length of drama was longer ......like 8 eps too less for proper plot and story....
Anyways yin qi's sister(Heshu) is the cutest character I have come across lately.....she is way too adorable

Can someone pls tell ...if TJR character has a bromantic cp with CHX...coz long before when this drama started shooting.... I heard some people talk about their character dynamic below in comments.....but I don't remember if it was them clearly.....

I saw riley wang, wang hedi, liu xueyi,and zheng ye cheng in the trailer....are they really in this drama or is it me dreaming or imagining their faces due to poor resolution coz of my poor internet 🥹
