Exactly, 💯....do you know IAN the drama(novel has gore & graphic violence due to which it was banned after they dropped 1-4 eps then they got the re-broadcast license after months by cutting down on some bloodshed scenes & other horrific moments from the drama that brought down the duration for each ep from 45 to 27min) had to show paper-like zombies instead of creating a more realistic makeup & prop for them not because they lack budget but because they can't get that zomboid look pass censors***😭😂

In china, They have more audience for detective, mystery, crime, suspense & thrillers than the sugar-coated romances unlike most international mdlers .....These kind of genre & sub-genre has more supportive audience in China than the romance ones...and These kind of dramas earn the cast & crew immense sense of responsibility & respect simultaneously.....but the reason these kind of dramas have shorter ep count is not because of audience but because of the Chinese censorship laws...that forbids criminal or mystical theme dramas coz they are scared ppl wud start imitating the actions in real life by following the similar logic & modus operandi.....Sci-fi or Psychic themed dramas are censored coz they think that can drive ppl mad & make them loose their sh*t out of dementia 😂............ That's why more of these kind of works can't easily evade NTRA books of rules & regulations so they make them short on purpose(cost-effective & budget friendly) in the hope of some leniency & they don't promote such dramas ostentatiously to keep low profile incase some fanatic netizen reports them to the authorities(like that is very common in China ...ppl reporting dramas to censorship boards & the higher ups for some slight issues)🤣

It's hard for dramas to barely reach 7 or 8 after years on douban ...this one quickly reach 9 just in the blink of an eye......I really want to watch this one but it's not available on free website like kiss kh, Dailymotion etc..... Could you tell me if this has any romance as filler or subplot coz I basically avoid such shows
Can someone explain to me one thing, as long as I have been into C-drama land especially watching danmei adapted or c-bromance shows...I have become fully aware that anything evn slightly refering to danmei adapted/bromance shows erotically is 💯% not allowed to be broadcasted or spoken in Chinese variety shows.... even the CPs or couples from Danmei adapted dramas(aired/unaired) are rarely seen interacting with each other in public(coz they not allowed in front of cams some exceptions** though) but mostly you will never find the two actors playing main role in any Dangai dramas together on any Chinese Variety Show , it's hard ....coz I have never come across one except Yin Zheng & Huang XiaoMing (Cps of Winter begonia which is an another Dangai Bromance) these two have appeared thrice in 3 different Variety shows together very recently in 2024, and they even openly talked about their Dangai drama (which I think in current times is not allowed due to censors but I don't know how it's was made able to broadcast in those variety shows) Can this be seen as a good sign for the lifting of BL ban in near future? 😭🥹
