I have seen a kissing scene reuter of tang lici + A shui
Okay good to hear that but I am still skeptical about that since TLC and A Shui had a kiss scene and the ML seems protective of her in the ost mv ....and in the character relationships that someone mentioned below, it states that Ashui is the confidant of TLC...
oh my our tastes align so well!!! can you please recommend me some dramas with have friendship/ found family kinda…
Same with me guys....I also keep digging through mdl to find a non romance drama with friendship, brotherhood or sisterhood themes but such dramas are very rare....hard to find with good production and stories...... I usually try to watch some dramas where romance is not mentioned in the tags but end up dropping it because they do contain romance somewhere or the other..... The novel of this drama definitely doesn't have any romantic connotation for the main character so from day 1 this drama was announced I was very hopeful, that this will be like MLC coz of same author but I after I came across the big budget and production, I knew it isn't going to be simple friendship drama devoid of romance coz big productions like otter will never gamble in a project without romance so they added slight romance between Tang Lici and A shui' character I guess which was unrequited in the novel....I am so disappointed after learning this fact...but I'll try to watch it regardless...if romance is minimal, one sided, unreciprocated or avoidable , then it will be worth a watch otherwise, I 'll have to drop
Wen Liyan portrays how unrequited love doesn't have to be a weapon to hurt others but the remedy to save people and let go to let her return to where she belongs safely and happily
I didn't knew chinese directors and screenwriters have the potential to depict such beautiful sismance story without the addition of romance with male characters as subplot. Really loved the drama.....it kinda gives gl vibes but I prefer it being platonic. I loved the character of Wen Liyan, he is truly a guardian of our CP. This drama deserves a lot of recognition, it is amongst one of those few dramas that don't deviate from their original plot to please or target a certain group of audience . Also this drama is perfect epitome of how Women build their empire and chase towards their sovereignity
Not lacking I would say, they just met so it will get stronger in coming parts.
Strangely...the one above called the lil interactions between XG & WX as skin ship......which we all know isn't even close to what it actually means.....and if even it's there then why not would you expect....is skinship supposed to be present only in romantic relationship and not friendship ones?
Not lacking I would say, they just met so it will get stronger in coming parts.
Exactly,...my point...I don't understand why some people like the one above are so exasperated when the same sex characters are shipped in a friendly way , they shove us into believing that fanon ships are nothing but the thirst of homosexual fetishizers that confabulates their so-called canonic plot & relationship ....and there is no point in arguing with them....I mean why it's wrong to ship characters ... aren't there romantic pairings in every novel even if the writer didn't mean it in the romantic way....do all the romance dramas have the same canon ship dynamic as and how the way writer described it.... isn't it common to see more chemistry and more depth of relationship in the drama than in novel...when it can be done for romance then why not bromance And it's strange to see someone getting worked up when I mentioned censorship, which is a real thing in China ...does it even need evidence ? Is it not the default reason which is holding back the dramas focussed on same-sex dynamic while a few of them that managed to release was only after the deletion of scenes which marked the significance of main characters into each others life because they feared it might be always interpreted in erotic sense and robbed us of pure platonic friendship. And true to my knowledge, DMBJ is indeed the most popular grave robber series not solely coz of main plot but also because of bromance and camaraderie serving as the subplot....their genuine friendship and ready to die-for-each-other dynamic makes us attached to their characters even more ......
Not lacking I would say, they just met so it will get stronger in coming parts.
Excuse Me, Miss, I get your point, and I am aware of the scenes I mentioned don't exist in the actual novel but only dmbj drama adaptations, so what was your point in lecturing all of that above,.....let me make sure, I am not gay fetishizer, who would expect erotic tension between two guys in guise of bromance ...I purely meant it to refer their interaction as bro bro friendship.....and it's not wrong to expect the intensity of brromance increased in comparison to the novel....I don't know how it offend you or rubbed you the wrong way...but most drama adaptations are never faithful to the original source novel...whether it's romance or bromance subplot or main plot , most of the time, it is intensified in the drama adaptations than what is expressed in the written novel ....and once you have already witnessed the greater degree of friendship, you would definitely expect it somewhere or the other point in a remake coz you have seen it previously and I did feel it as them censoring the content because there are reuters which show those scenes were shot but ultimately got cut down...so it's not wrong to present your frustration over it.....I too prefer the drama because of the adventure plot and not solely because of bromance but since it is the subplot so I would obviously expect it to be there since it existed fairly enough in previous adaptations and like I mentioned the creators always intensify the relationship dynamics between the main or leading characters than the novel so expecting it in this drama is not a trangression of any fundamental human right, is it??
Why are you so eager to clash on before knowing the crux of what I meant?
Not lacking I would say, they just met so it will get stronger in coming parts.
But , I guess they cut down on many scenes that might have been shot.....to begin with TLT 1& 2 had lots of bromance scenes which weren't included in this drama for eg:- wuxie goes to deliver food to Xiao ge after they came out of the cave in his first adventure, then later on inside the ship, there is a scene where wuxie get wounded while fighting the sea monkey and xiao ge puts bandaid on his hand, there is also a scene where wuxie check on xiaoge's hand that has marks left by the little white monster coming out from the tummy of 12 armed woman , there is another scene where wuxie falls while putting Wang Zang Hai corpse on the ceiling and xiaoge catches him, Another scene shown in the reuters, that wuxie and xiaoge filmed after wuxie wakes up after the underwater scene where xiaoge save him.... But that scene is nowhere found in the drama.... And I also feel that like this they deleted alot of scenes because originally the drama started with 45 min duration and then slowly it went on reducing the duration which I suppose might be the result of censoring stuff and them cutting down many parts, coz in the beginning episodes, they just met, they hardly would have had much interaction so less cuts but gradually as the episodes increases, their interaction must have increased resulting in more cuts and hence shorter the duration became from previous ones, ....the same thing happend for ALON , that also started with 44 min per ep in 1-4 eps then later on went on reducing till the drama ended to somewhere around 28-33 mins per ep..... I am disappointed in WeTV and Youku, they don't deserve to broadcast bromance dramas like these , they always cut down scenes which reflects character bonding, it's strange as there were lot of rules to the censorship criteria, a lot of stuff needs to be censored in the past according to it, but all they care about nowadays is just censoring male-male interaction, ....I am seeing censors are toned down on lot of costume, styling, slangs, certain gestures and many other things but even if everything changes, censorship for bromance will never fade away . It's still strong, iqiyi, is the only platform , which I trust has the guts to worm it's way into bromance despite censors .....Ever since BL crackown imposed in 2021 after word of honor, I haven't got to see soulful bromance with minimal cuts on any other platform dramas except iqiyi....Iqiyi also censors bromance stuff but they definitely don't remove it's soul like other platforms do. Next in line is MangoTv, which censors less bromantic scenes but they disappointed me in the recent bromance drama DLY....
Xie lian huan, Wu San Xing lookalike and his accomplice, you will find it later in the series. He is alive but…
Truly, the last line of your reply was Epic π―....π I 'll try my best to explain the plot as much as I remember from the lost tomb series, but let me warn you, I have forgotten the major details as I watched that series long long long back so I might not be able to give intrinsic plot details but I 'll try to explain from the best of my knowledge and memory. I saw above you asked previously if wu san xing dies or not when he came outta ship for the second time and the answer to this question is NO. But again it's an uncertain answer, coz all the dmbj adapted dramas gives vague info about wu san xing whereabouts since his disappearance. His disappearance is closely linked to Xie lian huan existence and one major characters of the drama that is Cox Henry. I must tell before moving further, that I am not a dmbj novel reader, so I don't know about what happens in the novel and how drama is different or similar in terms with it, thereby all my knowledge about dmbj series comes purely through the drama adaptations , If you are really very very interested in knowing the actual plot, I suggest you to read the novel or wait till a novel reader could brief the actual happenings in the plot. Now let's move further, so Cox Henry is a foreigner , grave robber and also an archaeologist and he has a Grand team and surplus man power behind him to support and fund him in carrying out these tomb raiding expeditions, Cox Henry's main aim was to find the secret of immortality from ancient Chinese records buried under the tombs constructed by renowned feng shui master Wang Zang Hai, a very extraordinary figure in Chinese literature, he is well known for creating deadly traps and killing people without even getting blood on his hands. Most of the tombs in dmbj series are his creation. So you will often hear his name being mentioned in the drama. Getting back, So Cox Henry somehow forced Xie lian huan and wu san xing to work under him, so these two (xie lian huan & wu san xing) are on same side, but they aren't entirely loyal to Cox Henry, there is a some hidden common ground between them. So part of their plan , is to let one of them die and let other one live, that is xie lian huan fakes his death and technically he is considered dead coz no one knows about his existence except wu san xing. The two of them are doppelgangers so when one is out , the other has to stay hidden so the truth of fake death is not exposed. Hence they always switch roles, sometimes it's xie lian as in wu san xing disguise playing wu xie uncle and even wu xie failed to recognise the difference until he found a major clue. Therefore when ever you hear wu san xing' name in the drama, it doesn't always mean, it's wu san xing actually , it could be xie lian huan, coz they often switch roles when one is not available due to some unprecedented circumstances. Exactly, what is their ultimate motive , even I am not able to figure it out yet but from what I understood ...WSX and XLH don't want the secret of immortality and other deadly concealed secrets to be unraveled, coz the two of them know about the bad consequences that it might bring once it falls in the hands of foreigners or any normal individual. In the subsequent dmbj sequels you would find out that Cox Henry indeed succeeds in discovering the secret to immortality but at the cost of being pulled towards calamity and meeting a tragic end. Therefore, WSX And XLH take the brunt of diverting their descendents (mystic nine clans) away from uncovering this secret to protect their future generations from the unpredictable phenomenon it might awaken once let out.
Xie lian huan, Wu San Xing lookalike and his accomplice, you will find it later in the series. He is alive but…
If you have problem, keep it in your bag and seal it's opening ,.. don't let it out to blow the gaff, why would you expect others to do what you think is right.....I as a user don't mind a major spoiler coz I think that only brings and deepens people's interest towards a drama when they get too know more about unexpected plot twists, and other person who asked above also asked out of interest and that's purely our subjective opinion, If you disagree , you could have ignored the comment , no need to spread hate by calling someone disrespectful as if they committed some outrageous act or felony,.... that truly doesn't make you sound presumptuous drama watcher , so concerned about not ruining others fun or something like that...... Btw I tagged spoiler, and what I wrote was very very very small hint of the biggest plot twist, I didn't even give details! Anyways,I am ending this thread, don't wanna explain anything to you or argue at all, but just let me remind you for the last time, your self-is-right attitude can't change others to satisfy your pov!
Xie lian huan, Wu San Xing lookalike and his accomplice, you will find it later in the series. He is alive but…
How's it being disrespectful, I don't get it ...if you don't like it , it's your problem why would you demean others? Everyone's brain doesn't work like yours, pls mind your own business, the person who asked doesn't have a problem then who are you to interfere?

Such profound and heart-wrenching explanation....π
