At some places, they have made a lot of changes from the anime version, and at other places they have closely followed every tiny bit of detail as in the anime.
I am not a Chinese speaker though but I understand spoken Chinese......I am currently watching this show with autosubs which aren't that bad from my perspective as I can read between the lines where the subs are err... I have watched till ep 3 and....there is a lot of bromance which is building up at a good pace and character development is also progressing smoothly....so far so great

I agree 💯 The ending was incomplete to me .....I wanted deul pal to stay but didn't wish him to permanently reside in a teen-ager's body...... viewer's would agree that no matter how censored the drama is......Se kyung's eyes speak otherwise......it doesn't just seem friendship from his side......he has a thing in his heart for Deuk Pal....the fact that he looked extremely happy to realise that Deuk Pal was the one who stayed in SYH body.....just deems inappropriately to ship them even as friends, coz of Se kyung's feelings...... All in all, I am not satisfied with the ending.....all three of them staying would have been a better ending.....this one is vaguely implying towards something most of us don't want to picture like literally a 47 yr old man's soul ending with 19 yr old teenager in whatsoever way isn't justified to be a happy ending......the real song yi heon should have also got a chance , after all Deuk Pal intend to do everything for him since the start, his efforts were all in vain, coz real SYH had a cowardly ending , with him not wanting to face life challenges and giving up just like that & failing to live upto KDP's expectations for him.

Actually, I agree that CSK was able to open himself up only to KDP and not anyone else owing to their bond in the drama which is indeed precious while very little has been shown b/w og SYH & CSK ...so there ain't any bond development in the latter case...... In the novel, like you said, CSK was a smart dude and he could figure out the soul swap that happened and he even knew about KDP.....agree on all these things..... On the contrary, drama is fast paced and has lot of subtle changes that will make you notice that CSK sees KDP as SYH only and his thoughts are realistic like soul swap as in supernatural phenomenon would never be strike his head ....Drama version of CSK no matter how smart is a human with Pragmatical Views....he would never wonder SYH's body being possessed by gangster soul......he thinks either the two (past & present SYH) are doppleanger of each other or perhaps the split personality of the same person....... Proofs to vindicate my theory based on drama ..... I keep reiterating the fact that in the drama CSK isn't aware of soul swap & takes the present SYH as a doppleanger/double personality of og SYH..... 1) Two times, in the drama when present SYH said "I am older than you" CSK: "I think we are of the same age" 2) he risked the life of present SYH to expose the truth that he is not the past version and a different person by the help of that pancake allergy... 3) he also ran a DNA test ...was shocked to find out that it's 99.9% match.....but still denied tha possibility of them being the same person.....but later on when present SYH assured him the real will come back then only CSK started to become friends with present SYH(KDP) ....Earlier he wouldn't have done so coz he didn't wanted anyone to steal Og SYH life that's why he confronted the one infront of him so many times...only when present gave him a green signal that og will come back, did CSK started taking him also as a friend but he inside desperately wants the og SYH to comeback.....in the novel there was a love equation b/w KDP soul and CSK, but in the drama due to censorship they changed the dynamic of romance → friendship KDP→SYH..... From all the possible direction it seems , CSK really cares about the real SYH coming back evn if CSK has to take care of real SYH, it doesn't matter to him from drama pov...... Like you mentioned that Real SYH soul was always beside the KDP version of SYH so the og saw how much KDP did for him and how he changed his life so according to me the drama will conclude differently from the novel.....like it could be that when og SYH comes back then he will inherit a part of rough-tough personality of KDP as KDP taught him how to deal with his life problems during his stay within SYH body .....so when og SYH returns to his body, he would no longer be the weak, or frail kind like he used to be in the past.....he will definitely acknowledge and be grateful to what KDP did for him and will also try to inculcate everything that KDP did to help him so he can solve his problems on his own in the future...... I understood the novel content as you mentioned but I was stating the drama pov.... remember how CSK doesn't do anything that would complicate real SYH's life like not calling police when he was kidnapped...and I know he is guilt-ridden coz he couldn't help real SYH...but he was so desperate to find out abt real SYH in the drama....even though he believes the guy in front of him can't be SYH, but he doesn't have an explanation as to who he is like in one scene, CSK was surprised to see Present SYH talking abt SYH in third person......As you said, in the novel CSK knows abt the soul swap but in the drama, CSK doesn't have any idea of soul swap and he won't even imagine sth like that...... From drama point of view there exists a platonic relationship b/w KDP /SYH & CSK where as in the novel it's erotic relationship but since drama is censored adaption, lot of changes have been made...... including the fact that CSK isn't aware of the existence KDP soul in the body of SYH like in the novel.......In the novel like you said, CSK doesn't want the KDP soul to leave but in the drama CSK(being unaware of KDP soul) desperately wants the real SYH back that's why he urges the present SYH to bring back the og SYH ......And only when present SYH promises him to bring the og back then only CSK started helping him in studying and all those problems that need to be solved for real SYH.....Before CSK was wary of present SYH...he tried so hard to expose him by what not means.....either way whether it's KDP or SYH .....CSK has a platonic relationship with both of them in the drama.... In the drama, Se Kyung doesn't know abt the soul swap. Remember last time Se Kyung pondering abt why present SYH is different from past SYH, he thinks of possibility of SYH having split personality disorder and so he thinks that they are the same person but personality varies. Besides the jealous scene in the drama like the user above mentioned is because CSK doesn't believe that there is someone else in SYH body so he could still express his possessiveness....the drama pov varies from novel pov. I too don't support pedophilia. It did be awkwardly unacceptable to interpret the romance between CSK & KDP
