As far as I know, it has connection with Ying Yuan parents. We will get to their background soon enough in the drama. Something about them cause the emperor to deem love is bad news for immortal

I disagree. In heaven, at first she said that she only wanted Ying Yuan to admit his love. But down the time, she said again that she wanted Ying Yuan to act on his love. Now, after even more time has passed, she finally said what she truly wanted: for Ying Yuan to choose her above his responsibility toward three realms. With this kind attitude, I cannot see she will satisfied with Ying Yuan said that he loved her but could not act on it.

Yes, I know the heavenly rule is stupid to ban love. But rule is rule. If anybody can just disregard the law because they don't like it, it will cause chaos. Rule can change, but not in an instant. Her daredevil personality is indeed cute and refreshing. But she lacks restraint and wisdom, which lead her to be willful.

Also, the rule of "eye for an eye" should never be applied to love. Because it will make your love conditional and tainted. Love should be given freely. You are free to disagree on this since this related to our personal believe.

In short, I do understand Yan Dan way of thinking. But I just don't like her way, thus my ranting. I know she will grow up later on. I am very very looking forward for it.

I am waiting for her growth truly. My ranting is for her current self.

If only what you said is true, I would not be so annoyed toward her. I have no problem with her letting go her love. I stress here, it is with her reasoning that I have problem with. This is not a story where FL is not aware of the ML status and real identity. From the very beginning, she knew who is the man she loved and what he was embodied. It was very selfish of her of asking him to prioritize her over three realms. She kept repeating that in the course of the drama.

You are wrong when you are saying she doesn't want to be his stumbling block. It is her future self when she finally can accept him fully, himself with all his responsibility. But her current one?? No. She is indeed that stumbling block for Ying Yuan to do his responsibility toward three realms. It is as if she said: if you want to be with me, then you need to let go of your position and responsibility. I cannot reconcile with this way of thinking.

If she want to let go because she understand that she cannot be the woman that can support this kind of man with high responsibility, and making peace with both him and herself, I will be very much okay. Because it means she blames no one. Her attitude will be different from what we have seen in ep 39 if this is the case. Because she will reject him not with that kind of spite but with gentleness. It will be 2 people decide even though they love each other, they choose to not act on that love but the feeling shall remain dear.

Also, I know that she will change later on. And I will have different perception of her in the future. But right now, I just cannot "like" her action.

Yan Dan is one of those immature girls that say A but wish her man will know she means B. Sigh ..... Since she is very young in that point of time, it is understandable. But Ying Yuan has been living without romantic love for millenia. How does he know woman heart?

But I cannot accept her reasoning, all about she will forever be number 2 in front of three realms and the like. I like .... please girl, just see clearly just who is the man that you love. Three realms depends on him. Do you really understand what your wish is??

Finally finish watching ep 39. It is emotional, but still not as angsty as I feared.
It is another Yan Dan temper tantrum. It is the same old as always. She got a sweet dream when a high and mighty sovereign lord let go of his position and responsibility to be with her. And then she woke up, realizing the reality was so unlike the dream. But she kind of pushing Ying Yuan to be that Ying Yuan in the dream. When he refused, she just went ballistic. It was that way in heaven. It is also that way in mortal realm.

All I hear from ep 39 is that Ying Yuan will never let go his responsibility, thus since I don't want to be number 2, then why don't I let go this love. It is like her mantra. All the way from heaven to mortal realm, she always chanting why oh why Ying Yuan cannot let go of his responsibility for her. Tang Zhou here is just her collateral damage. I believe she will be happily dying together with Ying Yuan in heaven if Ying Yuan ever agree to be in romantic relationship with her. All she thinks is that Ying Yuan have to be hers, three realms be damned.

Sorry for my rambling here. I know there are lots of Yan Dan supporter here and my comment will certainly cause a debate. But, I just cannot relate with this kind of FL character. I understand Yan Dan POV very well. She is young and her daring personality and all. But understanding does not make me like it. She reminds me of those immature young woman in real life who said A but wish her man will do B.

She did? I have not watched ep 39. Honestly, I fear it ... since it seems it is so angsty.
Sigh .... I am tired with Yan Dan tantrum really. I know her personality is dare to love and dare to hate. But destroying things ..... First is the agarwood burner, now the hairpin.

I know she will see sense later on, but does not mean I enjoy watching her parading self justification in lashing out to Tang Zhou/Ying Yuan. Yan Dan cannot accept she will always be number 2 compared with three realms so she choose to let go and live for herself. Good. I think woman needs to live for themselves first and not live revolving man all the time. But, I don't think Ying Yuan has done things that so sinful toward her that warrants this much hate. Especially when she knows literally that he does love her.

You word it much better than me. Correct, I think Yan Dan never realize the true weight of her owns words back then in Diya. Young as she is, it is logical that she cannot understand why she cannot be number 1 for Ying Yuan. She loves him too much and in her mind love is equivalent to posses.

If you talked about Ying Yuan mother, she is Emperor sister. So, Ying Yuan and the Heavenly Emperor is related by blood.

Please no .... Especially when characters in the drama multiple times say how important is Ying Yuan for three realms.

I also can be said not crying at all during part 1. I .... thought I was too heartless, hahahaha, especially when posters here wail their hearts. But, that trailer ..... my heart is so hurt. Oh, Tang Zhou ..... He is just a boy.

So sad for Tang Zhou. It is very understandable from his POV at this moment. Because he cannot relate at all with this deity called Ying Yuan. All he knows is he is Tang Zhou. My heart already hurt watching the trailer.

I hope the ending is not about both of them run to the sunset together or something like that. We have enough drama out there for that.

Yes, I am so so relieved hearing Yan Dan saying that. Finally, she is now worth of become the life partner of a Sovereign Lord. She finally understand! I have my own worry that I will end up resenting this character, like I did to lots of FL out there for their selfishness.

With Yan Dan by his side, I think Ying Yuan can do his responsibility with more ease. She will support him, comfort him. And she will get him to love her as much as she want.
