I tend to agree with you regarding Huan Rui. Despite their flaw (which I still not clear about), they certainly have part in propelling Cheng Yi to his current popularity. Not by marketing or anything, but by giving him trust to become ML in their drama when he was still practically unknown. The rest, it will depend on Cheng Yi himself whether he can grasp to the opportunity.

Don't worry about talking too much about Cheng Yi acting, hahahaha. When people talking about him, his acting skill will always be a regular topic. I also become his fans because of his acting skill. Not only mannerism, I love how he can hold a stable characteristic for the whole drama. Like, his acting in every episode is in line with each other. With other actor/actress, I often find myself annoyed: like how you can be sad in one moment and then feel nothing in the next. With Cheng Yi, I have never experienced this kind jarring moment again.

We should have. The later part of the drama should be focused on the male lead storyline, thus high chance we will get lots of main pair screen time

Exactly! If we want to judge with clear head, it is enjoyable to see how Tang Zhou and Yan Dan fall to each other all over again as when they are in heavenly realm. They come from two difference races that are enemy to each other but still love creep to their heart once again. If only we have more episode .......

Yes! Usually we will still be invested with supporting role or secondary pairing. But with IS, it is as if people will only satisfied if we can have episode with 90% focus on main pairing as in episode 10.

Regarding airing schedule, as far as I remember, people there kind of fine with it. They are used to this kind of scheduling anyway. No need to compare with Love between Fairy and Devil. As I can see it, the age demography and group of IS audience is different from those that love watch LBFD. It is very unlike international audience here.

IS audience is more mature and dominated by age 24-40 years old with the highest being 31 -40. And from what I have read in their forum, these people are lover of great acting and kind of loath that IS being compared with LBFD. Everywhere, I can see they are praising Cheng Yi and Yang Zi acting.

Indeed. I also hate those dramas when everything happen is an instant. They just met, and the next few episodes, they are ready to die for each other ....... Just ......

Honestly, IS pace in mortal realm is quite okay. It is not slower than other xianxia drama out there. But, I think lots of us here feel trepidation of rushed ending. If only we still have 80 episodes total, I think people will be able to enjoy this slow pace with more ease.

I even think that they are more colorful in their complaint than us, hahahaha. They also share the same thought of us regarding Ying Deng has too many screen time. This is one of those dramas where the majority (or perhaps nearly all) of audience is invested on the main pairing only.

In Ying Yuan eyes, the least important is always himself. Three realms is his responsibility, Yan Dan is his beloved, he cannot let go of both. So he "let go" himself. If we look it from other point of view, he was truly cruel toward himself when he let go of Yan Dan. It is as if he didn't let himself be happy.

I will choose Ying Yuan. I like mature love more

I much more prefer we get Xuan Ye backstory than watching this story about nine fins. Dunno why, I cannot get interested at all. The drama really try to elevate Yu Mo status so that he can be compared with Ying Yuan -_-

Yes please. I was binge watch episode 28 - 31 yesterday night. It was such a bore fest. I crave main lead interaction so much. I just .... so done with Yu Mo side story. I cannot connect with his way of thinking, thus it is difficult to empathize with him.

South Wind is rumored to come out this winter. I will be more than happy if it can come sooner. Youku must want to ride the wave caused by IS popularity. It suspect Draw the Line will air first though

Therefore, I cannot sit still watching this palace drama currently ongoing. I just cannot bring myself to care about Yu Mo story. I like Zhao Lan. But this loveline felt so boring and draggy. I am always like: please hurry up and get done with this .....
