Me, too. It just show lazy writing in my opinion. I watch drama to see a story within someone else head. Why I should imagining and thinking about the ending myself?!

I really hope they can follow a bit from the novel where Chu Kong lost his memory and even a bit stupid (because his soul is scattered). They can give us like 2 full episodes of this so to give us a fuller HE.

ALP is definite HE. They also explained how Bai Jue can return. The ending perhaps just not long enough for us to truly savor it. But this drama ...... perhaps even the screenwriter did not understand how Chu Kong could be resurrected in the end.

Yeaa, I hear people praise her acting skill. Perhaps she took too many cute character that somehow unpleasant for me ....

I plan to watch My Journey to You later after enough number episodes have aired. Currently, I am watching Moonlight. Seems this is the drama when Ding Yu Xi somehow perfecting his skill in acting as tsundere, hahahaha. I just cannot get angry at him, no matter how childish he acts.

Romance of Tiger and Rose, I have watched in sparse before, but not really interested at that time since I ..... had my reservation about Zhao Lu Si acting. Will try watch that later on after I finish with Moonlight

I can never praise the costume designer for Chu Kong costume often enough. Love them so much!! I also plan to watch Moonlight right now. The clips look good and the romance seems sweet

Just hang on. ML has lots of good scene with great acting on the back. I have never seen someone can act cute as endearing as him.

Agreed on the costume. Especially those blue clothes collection for Chu Kong as god of war and as 2nd Prince of Qilin. Ding Yu Xi looked so gorgeous in those garbs.

Well, to be fair, both Xiu Ming and Chu Kong are love brain somehow, though Xiu Ming is the worst.

I agree that the 2nd live with Lu Chang Kong and Song Xiang Yun took too much screen time. I think they can cut it and give more screen to "General & Princess" instead. Also, I will not reject if they can expand on the last life. Perhaps explain more how Chu Kong can come back. For the last life, I truly hoped that they can adapt the passages in the novel ..... Alas ....

This drama makes me hate open ending very much. It is as if the screenwriter just cannot do their job in writing the ending properly so they just write some random scene and let the audience think about it themselves.

As a light drama, this is good enough. The best part in this drama in my opinion is the OST and the production. OSTs are heavenly, especially those from Faye and Liu Yu Ning. The costume and make up are beautiful.

Acting wise, I think Ding Yu Xi and Xing Ze are the best. This is my first time watching Ding Yu Xi drama in full. I have to say that I am surprised with him, especially lots of actor that I approve of regarding acting skill, already above 30 years old. I hope he can further improve himself in the future.

Hahahaha!! Different from you, it was the FL business that failed to capture my attention. But, I do agree that the conflict depicted in the drama somehow lack serious vibe.

I think it was not the problem with chemistry, but the romance was lacking development feel. There was certain flat line in the middle. I could not see why and when both ML and FL fell with each other. ML hated FL guts in the beginning and vice versa. But suddenly after their marriage, ML became so understanding and so guilty toward FL that he was willing to endure her bossy attitude.

In my opinion, this drama should have chosen whether it wanted to be a war - politic drama or to be woman emancipation drama. Both theme can stand by its own. But no, this drama wanted to be both. As a result, I could never take the ML wittiness in war - politic scene quite seriously because intersperse in between was the FL that doing her business in cosmetic .....

At the beginning, the drama was promising. I was looking forward the main couple development. But, going further, I was getting more and more annoyed with how they wrote FL character. I absolutely hate pretentious woman, who use her gender to incite pity from others; which was somehow what the FL shown to be at the beginning. She was indeed changed to be better later on, but my annoyance already set in and the character development was not so obvious compared with the ML character.

I like the plot and I like Ding Yu Xi acting, that is why I am staying. Please do not act as if everyone can only praise Yang Chao Yue in this forum.

Also, do I need you to care about my feeling? If you like Yang Chao Yue and thinking that her acting is into your taste, then good for you. No one told you to dislike her acting.

I am also frustrated because of the same reason. I fully expect her to come screaming to Xiu Ming.

Somehow, even during lovey dovey moment, I cannot truly feel love from her. It looks good yes, but I just cannot engage emotionally.

Also, her reaction when Chu Kong disappeared was also kind of off. Not enough emotion. Her acting here is truly pale when compared with Ding Yu Xi when Cang Hai fell to the void.

Exactly!! I expected her to scream to Xiu Ming. Not meekly accepting her being imprisoned. It made me feel that she did not truly love Chu Kong. She even held Xiu Ming hand and explained patiently. At that time, she should not be in the mood to explain anything.

I was "aaarrghhh" when I watched that. Like, girl, your man is murdered in front of your eyes! And when she was still so chummy with Xiu Ming after that ..... I lost it. Cang Hai would have strangled Xiu Ming

I was in a state of frustration when I watched her acting with Xiu Ming after Chu Kong "died". Her acting was far too mild. In my opinion she should have screaming at him, not holding his hand and speak softly and placatingly ........
