Why the management agencies tolerate this is beyond me. Surely they would get more money out of well rested, (mentally) healthy talent at the top of their game? Instead it looks like they are sucking them dry, taking bribes from nutjobs following around. Aren’t media training, acting and dancing lessons etc expensive? Are there so many hopeful actors and singers around these managers can have their pick without developing them?

I‘ve watched ep 20 and the kid throwing stones into the water is not impressing me. Neither is the guy callously talking about losing bride #1 because a bigger fish came along + discarding bride #2 because he is into FL. I guess I am supposed to root for him because he is willing to fight for her?
Her prospects are truly bad. There is a man-child who is far beyond her station- realistically she could barely become his concubine. And the other guy has the spine of a wet noodle and would only be able to keep her as a concubine as well. Chen was harsh but he spoke the truth, the dumb law is the dumb law and she deserves better anyways.
