I love that the plot is driven by the story itself. Even without the ML and FL love story the plot is so intriguing…
IMO, I think the love story is the most important aspect and it’s what drives the plot. You take away the love story and there won’t be much to the story because much of what transpires is because if their love.
I didn’t care for Danyin and Jeili either. I don’t think it adds much to the overall story and too much time…
The fact that Danyin and Jeili are twins and born to Lord Yun Zhong and a moon tribe woman isn’t significant at all. That backstory is pointless when the time can be spent on a solid ending. Looking forward to the finale tomorrow.
All during episode 20 I was like....They are too happy something bad is about to happen...I just know something…
Yes I thought the same! Something big is going to go down…I didn’t think they would leave us with a sweet happy ending with flowers, rainbows and butterflies. I expected Mudeok to resist the bells since she’s in the powerful priestess Buyeon’s body but I suppose they had to find an ending for her since she won’t be in season 2. I was hoping they would explore Buyeons power more but perhaps they will next season. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for December.
GUYS, HELP ME UNDERSTAND PLS. I'm kinda confused before and during the war what DFQC's plan was. During the war…
I initially had the same thought as you but i rewatched it, when Xunfeng said to DFQC that he failed to release the 100,000 soldiers it was in reference to removing the bone orchid bracelet and not sacrificing her with the Chengying sword. Orchid did that on her own accord to save DFQC from resorting to the evil spirit. When she offered to kill herself, Xunfeng went along with it and allowed her to do it without DFQC’s knowledge. DFQC never wanted to sacrifice her.
I have a newfound appreciation and respect for Orchid. Her love for DGQC never wavered…she knew in her heart with an absolute that he truly loved her so she would do anything, including sacrificing herself, to save the man she loved. This is the purest of love. Some people may think she acts and sound childish but in the contrary, she has common sense and trusts her own judgement unlike other female leads who fall for the ML’s lies that are done to protect and save them. There are unnecessary misunderstandings because the FL is not gullible and she’s smart. Give it up for our leading lady 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ok, so i might totally be the exception, but I LOVE these two eps from today, and that nearly all the side characters…
Hahha I like your way of thinking girl. Why not have the best of both worlds? Marry CH for the 3 realms and to fulfill the marriage contract then also be with DFQC because she loves him and obviously he’s wayyy hotter 😝
I was also confused about this, but I think DFQC didn’t know/approve of the sacrifice, and thought the XF would…
I was a little let down by the heartbreak too though. I wanted to see more angst. She lay dying in his arms and there was no dialogue. No last words for her. It would have tugged at my heart more if there was some dialogue.
I'm happy that the war ended as it did, showing how awesome Orchid/the Goddess was. I was so afraid of DFQC using…
I’m glad DFQC didn’t succumb to the evil spirit but I would have liked to see him in action during the war. Although his hellfire isn’t at 100% and he can’t control it like he used to, I still wanted to see him partake in the fighting too. We saw how powerful and awesome he was in episode 9 when he rescued Orchid so I wanted to see some of his awesomeness even if it would be just a fraction if it. He would still be a force to be reckoned with.
Let me start by saying I’m a die hard, obsessed LBFAD fan so please, no hate as I express my first impressions…
Earlier this week I cried watching the preview of episode 32 when Orchid begged him not to leave her so I expected to be bawling today but surprisingly I didn’t cry at all.
Also, I expected some dialogue between them as he held her dying in his arms. I expected more angst, remorse, regret…idk. I just didn’t feel what I expected to feel watching that scene.
Looking forward to the finale tomorrow.
