everybody moved on but i'm still here. ๐ hahah i tried to start other dramas but couldn't finish any of them ๐ญ stories made by zhu yi really hit different. she raised my standard. ๐
Just read a comment here saying this is in the same world of Hidden Love (which I absolutely loved) but I donโt…
It's very loosely connected that you can even just ignore that it's the same world of HL. They probably only send it's part of the same universe to promote TFF more, since Sang Yan being in both dramas is really the only thing connecting them. Actors don't have to be the same, and I think BJT is much better for Sang Yan here anyways. I had an amazing time with this drama. From your comments, it just seems like it may not have been for you. For me, there are no dramas that portray trauma like Yifan's so authentically without rushing to resolve it, and I love mature, slow-burning, and patient romances like this where the other person like Sang Yan recognizes when they need to keep space. I normally hate FLs, but Yifan has to be one of the most well-written and well-acted I've seen.
This is now one of my all-time favourites. I could not stop watching after the first two episodes, and I love…
I normally hate FLs cause they're poorly written, but I found her very well-written in this. There's maybe only one time she actually runs away from a problem and that's when she is directly confronting the source of her PTSD and wanting to protect someone. She doesn't really run away any other times, and it's reasonable for her to cry when she needs to, as that's a good thing, rather than being cold-faced and emotionless at the start. She did leave the ML in the dark for a long time, but there are valid reasons behind it.
This is now one of my all-time favourites. I could not stop watching after the first two episodes, and I love the portrayal of Wen Yifan's trauma all the way to the last episode. There are no dramas that portray trauma like hers so authentically without rushing to resolve it, and I love mature, slow-burning, and patient romances like this where the other person recognizes when they need to keep space. Sang Yan's everlasting love and patience for Wen Yifan stole me away, and I hope the ML and FL actors get awards, because their acting and chemistry are brilliant. I truly felt for these real-life-like characters that I grew to love and understand. The second ML and FL leads are also great, and I was actively surprised by how much I was invested in their story, too. Only thing I would slightly modify is the HK arc, but it was very much needed. The final episode left me really empty in the end, but there was no way to improve it as it's already perfect like all the puzzles fitting into place for a sendoff to the bright future. Overall 10/10
Spoiler comment explains the FL a little more for those that seem to not understand her.
I came for Nam Yoon Su, but as good as he was and literally he was really the only thing good about this, but even he could not save this for me. I skipped so much. I know it was a romance, but for some reason, I really did not care. Maybe it was because they always chose to be romantic at the worst times. Maybe it's because I really wanted Dam-i/Hwi to be smarter. I just wanted everyone to be smarter than the evil old man. It was like no one could think ahead to what he was capable of, so he literally made it to the end of the story. She spent all those years being a Prince/King but she didn't think to understand how politics worked, and especially how her grandfather worked. She should have had spies and allies everywhere. It was frustrating til the end, but I made it just to see evil grandpa bite the dust. But first, let's kill literally everyone. At least Court Lady and Bok Dong and my baby Hyun made it. I wish they would have showed him being able to move on from Dam-i and finding happiness, especially since he had to take on a role he had no desire (that we knew of) to take. Anyway, not much else to say. It was just okay, but I see why everyone said Nam Yoon Su stole the show. He save the show for me.
Park Min Young haters are back and are crying because their faves didn't get casted. Next time invest your own money and cast whoever you want to. And what's with I don't like this actress attitude?? Go to your fave actress' page and praise them there. You haters must have a very miserable life. And don't say it's your opinions when you are here just for throwing hate. PMY is such a powerful actress who makes her haters cry every time her drama airs. Must be so hard work to be her haters since they have to work nonstop and come up with comments full of hate. If you don't like a certain genre or certain actors then don't watch and watch something that you love. As simple as that but oh yeah it won't reach the braindead haters' minds since they only love to hate and lack comprehension skills.
Iโm sorry but the acting is trash and super childish you can clearly see itโs fake, which is disappointing…
Nah, you lied. So, all her subtle facial expressions don't count as acting? What exactly do you consider acting in the first place? I'm curious; walk me through your thought process.
