Nothing wrong with expressing your opinion. :) I'm just curious, what episode are you on? The CGI definitely leaves a little to be desired, but I did really love the Lotus Sect's set and the Gusu Set. I thought those, and the costumes, were really well done.

I would check out the wuxia genre. It helps to kind of satiate the CQL addiction a little. :)

This page has been a wonderful escape for me since the spring, and it's really sad seeing the community become disheartened a little over the past week. As long as CQL is the number one in our hearts, no rating matters in my eyes. I hope we can weather the stuff going on around the site and stick around for each other. Our foundation of love for this show is stronger than any hate or unfairness. I know I don't talk to a lot of you on a personal level, but I love coming on here and reading everyone' s post and love. I hope everyone is staying healthy and mentally well! Jiayou! (ง •̀_•́)ง

Then The Romance of the Tiger and the Rose definitely fits the bill. It's an extremely pleasant rom-com with just enough angst to keep the plot going somewhere. I personally liked it more than a lot of K-drama rom-coms.

Even though I did like IOTNBO, it definitely doesn't compare to TU. They're two different ends of the spectrum in terms of storyline and CQL is just deeper and more involved in my opinion.

I really enjoyed it! Just don't go in expecting too much seriousness tbh. The main female character is a tad ditzy, but there's lots of fun humor and the story moves decently quickly. :)

I mean 4 episodes is not even ten percent of the drama. I'm not sure how you would judge a whole series on that little content. If you watch the rest, you might understand. :)

It's very good, but has some super serious elements in it. Well worth the watch if you like mystery/thriller/ borderline horror. :)

Have you watched Strangers From Hell yet? That one's horror/suspense is super on point.

I'm excited about this drama, and can't wait to binge it. Not sure if you've seen The Guest by OCN, but that one's super heavy.

Thank you for saying it! I recently saw someone saying (completely unrelated to this drama) that they couldn't watch an actor in straight role when he'd previously been in a BL role. I can't believe some people can't separate the two, and also respect actors and idols privacy. This is why we can't have nice things.

The feeling I got while watching this was the same I got while watching He Is Psychometric. The plot was promising, and I enjoyed where the storyline was attempting to go, but something felt like it was missing. Especially in the romance department. Totally not trying to down on this drama, I think I just went into it with my expectations rather high since I love folklore storylines.

I can see you got a ton really in depth answers, but there's also an FAQ in the discussion board that answers all your questions as well, if you're interested. :)

In my opinion, there was a lot of running around and mystery, but it focused a ton on the love line. The chemistry in this fell a little flat for me, so that's probably why it seemed so glaring. I felt more interested in LR, YR, and SJ than the main couple which rarely happens for me. It was just missing that spark for me, but I can see others loved it. This is only from my perspective though and everyone's different. :)

It was pretty eh, in my opinion. They focused on the love story and kind of ignored the more interesting bits that could have given the plot a little more umph. But, who knows, you might like it.
