I knew it! Mr. Bai being stubbed by the woman he loves, being thrown into the lake/river and being left for dead was not enough to cause him to betray the Rong family. A man of integrity
In EP 2 and truly a fan is just a fan. This man was having a crush out because his friend was murdered and he's the prime suspect and FL hears him hate on obsessive fans and she becomes heart broken... HER world view is the one that is shattered. Not by the fact her idol is accused of murder but because he seems to hate his fans. Fans don't seem to view their idols as human. Or did I miss something?
I'm not usually a fan of, well idol-fan romances, because I don't think they take this type of theme seriously. They may seem they're having a conversation about the parasocial nature of fandom, but it goes nowhere and the conclusion usually seems to signal to leave things as they are.
But I'll keep watching to pass time, hoping to be pleasantly surprised
In EP1. The way wkwardness is portrayed in this show, omg it's too on point. I want to squeeze my eyes shut. Ugh!! So cute, I can't help blushing on their behalf. I also wish the nail techs in my country did such pop art styles
i felt exactly the same way. i was really confused by how the scenes flowed and i never truly felt the yearning…
Absolutely agree, it's hard to point when they fell in love yet the film had a runtime of 2 full hours to show us. I want to blame the directors, because the actors looked very dedicated.
This was underwhelming. I don't think I'm cutout for artsy films because much of this came off as telling not showing. At one point the main couple is not getting along and then suddenly they're making out and I'm wondering where it came from (very nice kiss though). Blonde ML told 2 people how Sugiki made him feel and they're like you must be in love, something I wanted to see for myself. I wanted to see with my two eyes when he falls in love. I love yearning, show me yearning don't tell me he's yearning. Don't tell me after it has happened that you've been yearning. It would have especially been interesting to see as initially he was affronted by their dicks rubbing and he even states he hates Sugiki. They're arguing all the time because they're not in sync and now they're kissing? My lack of appreciation for this development is likely I felt the Suzuki was too underdeveloped that it made it impossible for me to notice they're falling in love or that it would be inevitable. What we get is the female dancers sharing anecdotes of how "when Shinya saw Shinya, Shinya felt like this" The dance scenes were immaculate. However, I would have loved if they balanced both presentations of ballroom and Latin dances, the show was too focused on ballroom. While the couple were learning ballroom it could have been a representation of blondie learning to curb his "aggressive" dancing and then I'd hoped to see the impact later on, but maybe Suzuki maintaining his aggressiveness is a metaphor for his stubbornness but why introduce that halfway into the movie? As for the Latin dances it could have been a metaphor for Sugiki to stop being stiff all the time. The way it was shown wasn't sufficient enough to be memorable. At the end of the film I couldn't tell if there had been character or plot development. Everything felt very plateaued, no highs or lows, except for the final scene. But I couldn't even enjoy it because how did we get there? I didn't have much expectations for this film, but I suspected it may miss the mark when the part where Sugiki invited blondie to 10 Dance was cutout. Their first actual meeting was cutout!
In conclusion, I'll read the manga, could be that the original story was the one lacking and come back to this, maybe then I'll "get it."
I ACTUALLY CRIED WHEN HE DIED. HE DEFINITELY DESERVES IT BUT HIM BEGGING NOT TO KILL HER AND SAYING HE CAN ONLY…
It was devastating! I was like Feng Suige survived two stab wounds, being buried alive, blindness and amnesia but Jinyan died at the first instance?? and the baby died and Xiyan became barren?? ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
I was hating on Feng Xiyan but now in EP 29 and I'm grateful I don't have to endure her foolishness longer. Her story reminds me of Sansa from GOT and how she grew to become fully conscious. In fact, at this point I'm more drawn to her story than the main couple because she has nothing at this point but strong will, I'm curious to see where that gets her. As for Xia Jinyan he just might be the first guy to be into BDSM in their era.
